We had such a wonderful experience working with Julie to help my son (2) get new glasses. Finding an optometrist in Austin who specializes in pediatric glasses is next to impossible - I called a ton of places but no one could help me. Thankfully, I called Westlake Hills Vision Center and spoke to Julie. She referenced her long history working with kids and told us to come in! After a long morning at the ophthalmologist, Julie was such a lifesaver and made a seemingly daunting process easy. She helped me properly measure my son's face and distance between his pupils and order frames online. She also gave me great tips to help him get used to the fact that he would soon be wearing glasses. Both Julie and her coworker Lauren were friendly and AMAZING with my son, who, at 2, is a typical toddler and wanted nothing to do with the whole thing! In the weeks that followed, Julie was helpful and communicative. My son looks absolutely adorable in his new glasses and it's been a pretty smooth transition. Dr Adam Drees is actually amazing! I went to him a few weeks ago for the first time. From the moment that I walked in, I felt at ease. High tech, thorough, and easy to work with, I left very pleased. My purpose for going was to get a referral to get LASIK. Dr Drees gave me a very thorough examination and sent me to a retina specialist due to a potential retina issue. My retina turned out to be fine and I went to the surgeon that Dr Drees referred me to. The surgeon took a while checking my eyes and finally said "Dr Drees is GOOD! I wouldn't have seen this littl issue if he hadn't had put it in his notes." Today I had the LASIK surgery and Dr Drees called to check up on me. I've had problems with my eyes for several years, (dry eyes and irritation). After seeing an ophthalmologist and not getting the results I was looking for, I thought hope was lost. I saw Dr. Drees for a standard eye exam and contact fitting and discussed some of my eye problems. He listened to what I had to say and made a great recommendation for a new type of treatment. It's worked great so far! Dr. Drees is a younger doctor who takes advantage of technology to offer the best treatment with the most up to date equipment. While I dislike wearing glasses and didn't take advantage, he offered some great deals on frames and lenses as well. Top notch doctor and he's in a great location. I absolutely LOVE walking into any medical professional's office and seeing healthy lifestyle and disease prevention information available in the waiting area recommending amazing tips such as following a science-backed whole food plant-based diet to do our part to meet the doctors half-way with our healthy habits. My whole experience here was very positive! Even though my regular optometrist was out of the office for a scheduled event, the doctor they chose to cover was excellent, intelligent, kind, and thorough. I was very appreciative of the extra time and care she showed me and answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. No dilation and no air puff meant two things: I was more comfortable, and my young son wasn't freaked out for his first visit to the optometrist. That in itself was worth it. Let me backtrack a little bit... The doctor and front desk was personable and professional. He explained this to my 9 year old son before doing them - not all doctors understand how to do that. He also checked my son's depth perception and checked for color blindness, which I felt was thorough. Decent eyewear selection, although I would have liked to see a little more options. Thankfully, they carried my favorite brands. I also had to order contacts, and they took two weeks to come in. This may have been outside of their control, or maybe not. I usually receive them faster through past optometrists. All in all, a great experience, and if recommend you check them out for eye care needs. read more

Dr. Adam Drees is not only a very thorough doctor, and found a freckle at the back of my eye he is keeping an "eye" on...ha, ha. His true desire to care for me and my children has been so refreshing. I thought I had some extra lenses in my drawer but turns out I did not. My house is 45 minutes away in 8am traffic so I gave Westlake Hills Vision a call to see if they had a sample lens of something even close to my prescription. Armando was extremely nice over the phone. I emailed him my prescription and headed over. They had a match. I asked how much and he said they don't charge for those. What?! Fantastic and super nice of them! I had not been super happy with my current eye doctor, but had not taken the time to find a new one. Guess what? I just found one. Dr. Drees is very friendly, really took the time to go over all the contact options for me. Recently had a foreign object in my eye that I could not flush out.
