    Brunch!

Service 5 stars Food 5 stars Vibe 5 stars Great place for breakfast/brunch. The food was delicious. But on the pricier side. It better have been all organic farm sourced lol. The waiter let us enjoy our meal and conversation without rushing us. The weather was great so we enjoyed their outside seating. Will def come back if I'm in the area

Cute neighborhood spot by the waterfront. Super nice if you live on the waterfront. It's the closest to the water front, their coffee is good (although smaller portion lattes than other coffee shops) and their smoothies (Brekkie smoothie) tastes good too. My only complaint is that the prices are pretty expensive, a smoothie is $12 and its not even a large smoothie. This is a great place to spend a morning, especially if you're sitting outside, but beware its not a friendly place to work. There's minimal chargers and I think they keep it that way intentionally.

A cute cafe with great vibes -- it's right along the water and I loved that they had so much seating right outside to enjoy the great weather. The Golden Latte was decent, though it got a bit chalky at the end. I know they serve food, so would come back to try that sometime too!

Cool vibes, peaceful location by the water. We came inside because it was pretty windy outside on a Saturday afternoon. The staff were really chill. We ordered the French toast, which was cut into smaller pieces. It came with maple syrup and ricotta whip. The ricotta was lemony, sweet, and oh so decadent. I'd come back to try their coffee next time.

Cute cafe! It's a bright and clean space, albeit the bathroom was a little dirty. The staff were super nice. It's a great place to chill, catch up with a friend, or even to work / study. There's also some seating outside. I got the porrdige which was slightly sweet. The texture of the porridge reminds me of oatmeal.

We came for a coffee in the afternoon. Bright Side had plenty of outdoor and indoor seating available. Service was good and we weren't rushed. Overall a cute place and I'd come back for another coffee!

It's a really nice cafe, good place to hang out and relax. The food was pretty pricey and in my opinion just so-so. The avocado toast is LOADED with avocado though. Matcha latte was decent!

This is a hip new cafe right off Kent Ave that is appropriately named with a lot of sun and a nice bright interior. Most importantly, they serve Nick + Sons croissants, which are among the best in the city. This is a great new option for coffee and an excellent snack.

Came here again for brunch and to finally get one of the Nick + Sons croissants (4.7/5). My 5 stars still stand. Great quality coffee and food. Açaí bowl (4.3/5) was beautiful and fresh.

Aesthetic = 100%. Clean, charming, courteous. All the great C's. The baristas are super friendly and an absolute delight. They even brought over water for me (I didn't request it) when I sat down to enjoy my coffee and read. Customer service was amazing and the manager&team combo needs to be recognized. Haven't had any pastries from here yet but they certainly looked amazing.

Great little cafe conveniently located in Williamsburg! Great brunch options and outdoor seating

    Menu

I go back and forth with this place. Pros: cool vibe, great staff, convenient, good food menu. Cons: pricey, coffee is just ok, constantly messing up online orders. Warning: i learned today that they don't list all of their ingredients. For example, the avocado toast is loaded with butter and I have a dairy allergy. If the ingredient was listed I would have requested to omit it. Seems slightly negligent on their part.

It's rare to find a place that balances a stunning, high-design space with such warm, attentive service. We explored more of the menu this time, and everything was just as impressive. The oysters were incredibly fresh, clean, briny, and perfectly served. Another standout that I'll definitely be ordering again. Between the atmosphere, the consistency of the food (super yummy), and the thoughtful team, Conwell Hall is quickly becoming one of those places you keep coming back to.

We tried the melon shaved ice $22 for the large which was a bit pricy but it was quite delicious. We were worried that the large might be too much for two people but honestly we were able to finish it without a problem. The melon pieces were sweet, the ice is milk based so it was creamy and flavorful on its own. We barely used the condensed milk that it came with (and we loved how they put it on the side for us instead). At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more. I loved seeing the plants along with hints of pink, orange, and yellow throughout the art and furniture. It's a gorgeous space. Service was good, nothing much to mention. For food, we ordered the royal chai, mango lassi, breakfast kathi-rito, and the condensed milk bun. The standouts were the royal chai and the breakfast kathi-rito. The royal chai was creamy, salty, perfect sweet, and silky. It had notes of cinnamon and saffron, paired with sea salt. I loved this drink. The breakfast kathi-rito was tasty. I loved the potatoes, cheese, egg, avocado, and whatever else was in it. The sauce on the side was delicious. Not exactly sure what it was but it was sweet with a kick. The mango lassi did not have enough mango flavor for me, I couldn't justify paying $10 for it. The condensed milk bun was good but it was similar to any other sweet bun in an asian bakery. I'd pass on both of these. Overall, I'd highly recommend checking out Fontainhas. It'd be a perfect spot to check out if you're in the area for the Brooklyn Flea, or just Dumbo.

I'm sad to say that this has turned out to be a disappointment, catering to the Matcha-drinking Alo-wearing DUMBO crowd. One Google reviewer referred to the cuisine here as "gentrified", which I'm inclined to agree with. The filter coffee was absolutely atrocious - one is not supposed to be asked "with or without milk?" when ordering filter coffee. The paneer sandwich was supposedly made with Amul butter, but any charming nostalgic aspect of this dish was removed by the dry layer of ghas-phus above the paneer bhurji. I am all for fusion as the propeler of culinary innovation, but I do not want to live in a future where Sweetgreen has infiltrated the foods that I hold near and dear to my heart.
