I was in yesterday and we purchased a prom dress for my daughter. We had an appointment. However, upon arrival I felt what many reviewers mention. It was chaotic. The dresses were tightly packed in long racks and no one helped us with picking out dresses. We were told to select what she wanted to try on and hang it on a rack end. After my daughter selected 4-5 dresses she was shown a stall to try them on. She ended up liking one and we purchased it. The biggest shock came when I paid the bill, they asked for a tip! I was shocked. We were given the most minimal assistance and no one brought her dresses to try. My daughter did all the work. I was stunned, I did leave a small tip but wish I had not. I was completely caught off guard. I've never been asked to leave a tip when dress shopping anywhere. My recommendation would be to go here and try stuff on for size then order it online. Made a reservation with a friend a few months back. The ambiance was not was I was expecting, very cramped and hard to see through the racks of dresses. They seemed to have a large selection but the space was way too small for the number of dresses. My friend was the bride which we had to clarify multiple times with the same employee. The woman who was helping us did not have a very welcoming attitude and was acting very snippy towards us as if the parlor was busy, although it was not. The part that made us leave was that my friend, the bride, began looking at the dresses. Without measuring or asking, the employee assumed the size of the bride and had her move to rack of dresses that she assumed fit the size of the bride. This was not taken kindly as it is not very nice to assume someone's clothing size without measuring or asking first. It was not even close to my friend's size either. Bridal palace is a small store chock-full of GEMS! A cousin recommended going to the larger bridal boutiques to pop the champagne with friends. At those places, they have a sales person that is with you at all times, that dresses the bride and the mom and the friends have to wait on the sofa for them to open the curtain. I much preferred our second appointment at the Bridal Palace. Huda, the owner greeted us, told us to pick out gowns. We filled up the room and as a mom I got to dress my own daughter. We had so much fun, revealing the gowns to the other girls. She and I knew instantly which ones were going to be HER. The quality of the inventory was superior and the prices for the exact same gown at other places, and online were the more. When it came time to do the alterations, I was a bit intrigued and concerned, because it was a very intricate along the bottom with a six-foot train. The dress was an Italian dress from the dreams collection when we return to pick it up and try it on we were so impressed. It was perfect! Huda is a magician! She told me she did the most beautiful bustles and she was right. It rained at my daughters outdoor ceremony, and the train was heavy. The bustles held the entire night through dancing and everything. She was very upfront about the cost of the alterations and the price was exactly what she quoted us and was completely fair. It's been a month and we've gotten some pictures back, the gown, and the way that it fit her it's simply gorgeous! The dress was absolutely beautiful! And the staff were initially accommodating and attentive. They were all related, or closely acquainted - so it seems. But, we felt that for $200 over the listed designers website price , the alterations were definitely not up to par. There were many loose threads protruding more than 1 inch out from of the newly cut and sewn seems/alterated sections, for which we paid top dollar to have altered. The alteration service was pricey compared to other formal dress alterations we've had done in the past. It was $250 to downsize from a size 4 to a size 2, as the size 2 was sold out by the designer and the store's smallest size remaining in April was a size 4, which is completely understandable. On my daughter's final fitting to try on the dress after the completed alterations, the store employees scurried her into their overflow storage dressing room, to view and approve her final alterations. She conveyed to me that she felt like they devalued her because she was just a teen and wouldn't object or demand better conditions. She's very kind, thoughtful, and conflict avoidant. In fact, I'm sure she would dislike the idea of me posting this because it has publically negative connotations. But for a $750 dress + alterations, I expect better alterations, customer service, and workmanship. read more

My older sister bought a wedding dress from Bridal Palace a year ago while at the Tacoma Dome's Wedding Expo in March and I would have posted this review sooner but since my sister has only brought this dress to my house since yesterday since she's been busy with work and just brought it after realizing her wedding's going to be in August of this year for my mom to alter and after just examining the dress this morning, my mom has realized the dress my sister has picked up was not a brand new dress, but rather the exact same dress that my sister has tried on at the event, this is very evident because of it's worn out conditions, as shown in the first three pictures of the fabric of the dress. In the first picture, The spot that the pen is pointing at is one of the parts of the dress where the lace is peeling off and worn out, there are many parts of the dress that looks like this. The two pictures after that, shows the lint balls sticking to the fabric of the dress, meaning the dress has been worn many times before which was exactly how the dress looked when my sister has first tried it on, as shown in the final picture. You might be wondering why we didn't bring the dress back to the shop, which it is because it's been since September of last year when she picked up the dress and she didn't check the condition of the the dress because of how excited she was after waiting for a while and didn't know how to check the condition of the dress since she went alone after making 3 phone calls about if the dress has arrived yet a few weeks before picking up since the expected time of picking up the dress was already 2 months late and they promised to call back which they never did until my sister got frustrated. My sister was so frustrated during the final call by coincidence, on the next day, one of the other staff at the shop called back to my sister to let her know that her "new" dress has arrived, which has lead to my mom examining the dress this morning to find that the dress is old, and is the exact same dress that my sister has first tried on. Which my sister's issues with buying the dress wasn't only that, it all started when the owner, Houda said she was going give a 10% discount for buying the dress at the Wedding Expo which she never gave, we figured this out, because we weren't paying much attention when she was writing out the receipt until we checked the charges when we got home. One week later, my mom, my sister and I all went to the shop for her to try on that dress again, since she wanted to try it on again. After arriving at the shop, a week later by appointment, Houda said she sold that dress, which we knew she just didn't want my sister it on again when my sister asked to try it on again by saying it was already sold. What a coincidence that is, we all knew she was lying because one, the dress is old, two, it takes up to 6 months for a wedding dress to be made, and three, you're not supposed to give a customer a worn out wedding dress, it's supposed to either be new or in good condition or both. This review is just to let everyone who is looking for a formal dress to buy to just be careful if you do choose to go to this shop, because the owner is not honest. read more

We have not gone through the purchasing process yet, but my bridesmaids and I came here yesterday to look at their bridesmaid dresses and they had beautiful options. Both of my bridesmaids wear plus sizes (one is a 22-24 and the other a 20), and they had lots of beautiful options to try on, the sales team assisted with clips so that dresses that were a little too big or too small could still be viewed and we could see how they would look in the right size. The team was very friendly and had good information regarding the dresses. Feel I should also note that both of my friends are very busty - one wears a HH cup size - and they both said the dresses had enough structure and support for them to wear without a bra. I believe the largest dress size they carry is a 26. One of the sales women did tell me that plus sizes cost an additional $50.00 for the extra materials required. I appreciate that she let me know beforehand so that I could tell my friends and have it not be an unpleasant surprise later on. Later both of my friends told me individually how much fun they had. That they had been very nervous to try on dresses, and were relieved to find dresses that they felt genuinely pretty and good in. They looked great, and they were both extremely happy after the appointment. I'm very happy it was such a pleasant experience. read more

The quality of Alterations I got from this place was TERRIBLE. I purchased my dress from a different state, and I began looking around for alterations, I knew it would be though to find anyone cause my wedding was 6.5 weeks away (7/20/19). I called Bridal Palace Bellevue to see if they could alter my dress for me; and if it would be a problem to start taking the dress in for me (it was too big), even though I don't have the straps yet. I let her know the straps would be in about a 2 weeks. They said it was ok and they would put on "temporary straps" to at least get the alterations started for taking in the dress, adding bra cups and a bustle. I made my appointment for 6/5. All seemed well during my appointment - Houda, the owner, added the temporary straps, and ensured it was okay because she would remove it and place the ones I got later. Then, she rolled the fabric on the both sides of the dress (where the seams are) to pin and determine where she would CUT the fabric. Lastly, we decided the bustle should be an over-bustle; and she would make one of the big button crystals on my dress be "strong," so the bustle will hold up. She never gave me an exact time of when she'd finish; but I didn't think much of that cause I knew I didn't have my straps. 2 weeks later, 6/18, I called her to let her know my straps arrived - I went in 6/19, to give them to her. When I arrive that day, I was surprised to find she hadn't done even ONE alteration on my dress. Her reasoning? She couldn't do it without the straps. She ignored my question of, "but I thought that was what the TEMPORARY straps were for. Fast forward to 7/8 (Monday)- less than 2 weeks before my wedding. I received no call; so I reached out to her. She told me that my dress should be done by Friday; but she will call me first. Friday passes; so Saturday I give her a call. She said, "Yes, your dress is done and I was surprised you didn't come yesterday. I just want to have you try it on again cause of the straps. I can sew them quickly when you come by and steam it for you and it'll be done." Um, for one thing,she said SHE'D call me to tell me it'll be done, not to COME FRIDAY. What's worst is the state my dress was at when I came in that Saturday, 7/13. The dress looked TERRIBLE. I noticed the dress wasn't smooth on the sides (where she rolled the extra fabric to cut since it was too big). She ensured me that it would look good once she steams it. ALL SHE DID WAS KEEP THE FABRIC THAT SHE ROLLED, ROLLED AND SEWED IT. On top of that, it was so tight around the hips that I was too scared to sit. She could tell I wasn't happy cause she said, "I will let it out around the hips and cut the sides instead. Uhhhh WHY DIDN'T SHE DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE?? When I got out of the dress, I noticed the crap job she did cause I saw different colored thread used that was clearly noticeable and I examined the fabric more and saw that she did no cutting. Then the bustle. That big crystal button she was going to make, "strong," was changed to a champagne button. A CHAMPAGNE colored button. My dress was champagne lining but IVORY overlay. It looked so random on the back of my dress. She completely acted like everything was okay but it wasn't. How are you going to charge $467 for alterations and produce crap work??? I just don't get how someone who has worked in bridal for so long think it's okay to take someone's money and in return RUIN their dress. I say ruined because she removed some beading on the sides of where she rolled the fabric that we could not get back. She told me she'd fix it so I left the dress at her shop; but as soon as I told my fiancé what happened, he helped me see the light and I no longer trusted her to try to "fix" or make the dress worse. We went to her store that Sunday when it said they open at 12pm online. The store was closed and I had to leave. I left a message telling her I wasn't happy with the work and to give my fiancé my dress. According to him, she said she was just busy and only had a month to complete it. UM, NO. You had 6.5 weeks to complete it, lied to me about putting temporary straps to get started on it; and I'm almost certain she started working on it that Monday (July 8th); when I called. She also told my fiancé that Saturday (July 13); was my "2nd fitting." I recall over the phone she said, "all that needs to be done was making sure the straps looked okay and it would be done TODAY." Once we got the dress, I called around and luckily found another alterations (who only charged $150) to fix everything. She was shocked with what Houda did. She confirmed the fabric was rolled. What's weird too was she only rolled the OVERLAY without the lining. She found 7 pins still pinned INSIDE where it was rolled. Bustle poorly done. Bra cups were not even sewed INTO the dress they were just sewn on the lining. I can go into more detail; but I will just get more upset writing this. Dishonest pricing & lack of transparency w/ Houda. Tldr: Houda charged me 2 times the recommended retail price and essentially ghosted me throughout the process. After, seeing the positive reviews, I decided to check out dresses from the Bridal Palace. I ended up buying a dress from Houda at $5150 (owner of bridal palace bellevue). Later that year, I had come across the exact same dress that I had bought but at a fraction of the price in a different store (selling at $2490) at the bridal store in Seattle. I was pretty shocked by the huge difference in price, and initially thought it could've been related due to gradual lowered price from Pronovias. So, I emailed the brand directly and found that (even at the time that I had bought the dress) the recommended retail price was $2600. After that, I contacted Houda directly why she had charged me essentially 2 times the price of the recommended retail price. She then said that she had to check her records and would follow up with me. I waited for a month while trying to reach out to her via text, to which she avoided. After that, I had called her store directly and she again said that she needed to check her records and would follow up with me the following Monday. After not hearing at all from her for the following 2 weeks, I came into her store to directly chat with her. On approaching her about the price she didn't have any reason for why there was such a huge price difference. She just kept saying that I had accepted the price at that time, and it's up to the store how much they see fit to charge for an item. Only after we confronted her about the price did she begin to offer added things such as veil / skirt/alterations to make up the difference but refused to refund any amount for the dress. At this point, in no way would any of these added items account for the difference in price I paid, and further I would not do any business with her after what happened. It's heartbreaking for me because I feel like I've essentially been 'duped' into paying an exorbitant price with no recourse because I had misplaced my trust in her. Throughout this process, once I had found out about the true price, she essentially tried to dodge all contact from me to avoid the situation. I can't imagine all the people that have bought from her that have been charged similarly at 2x price of recommended retail as I had. For ALL the brides out there - If you had brought a dress from Houda, I would say go fact check the true price of your dress. If you are currently shopping for a wedding dress, DO NOT buy from here if you don't want to end up paying 2 times the price. There are plenty good bridal shops (i.e. Bellevue Bridal Boutique, Eltsa Bridal, the Dress Theory, or Blue Sky Bridal). read more

Buyer beware. The recap described is my experience only. I came here early December 2019 to start bridal dress shopping for my September 2020 wedding. This was my first stop and thought I got lucky because I found a beautiful dress that I liked (designer eddy k, never heard of before but he makes very beautiful dresses). Houda, the owner, hyped it up and put on a veil, gave me earrings to temporarily wear to pull the look together and I was sold! Bought the dress on the spot. Was told that it would take 6 months to make after being ordered, so to expect it by June 2020. Ok no problem. Now here's where it gets interesting: The next day after purchasing I was curious if the dress I bought would look good in a different color, like ivory champagne instead of ivory/ivory. Messaged her a couple days after to see if I could try on another dress in her store that was ivory/champagne to see if the color looked right for me. She informed that she had already placed the order for my dress and once ordered it cannot be changed by the manufacturer. Didn't think she would order so quickly, but given the timeframe of my wedding I understood and felt fine with ivory/ivory anyway, as it is a traditional bridal color. A few days after that (approx 1 week from the time of trying on the dress), I come back to her store with my dad to re-try on the sample dress to see how it looked during the day with brighter lighting, as my first appointment was in the evening when it was darker. She said she "sold" the dress to another bride that was supposedly getting married on Christmas Day and had to quickly find a new dress! I was sad, but then my dad and I thought this was incredibly weird that she sold the dress so quickly. Fast forward to now- I messaged her on 6/25/20 through the bridal portal asking when my dress would be here and got no response. Messaged this morning and later in the day received a call that the dress is ready for pickup and that she had been "trying to call me several times". My phone can see missed calls and messages through early June and I had not received even one call/voicemail or message from her until today. I called her back and she said it arrived but needed to be steamed so she was able to make an appointment for this afternoon. Went to try on the dress and to my surprise the dress had a couple stain marks and loose beads and a few snags. Something in my gut made me think this was the sample dress I tried on at my very first appointment. I asked when my dress had arrived and she said it came early but could not recall the date and when I asked to see the order she was not able to provide me any information and became very defensive. She said that when I bought the dress it was sold as is and questioned why I would I inquire that. As a paying customer of a "new" ordered dress, I did not feel in the wrong to ask this and felt like the service I received was very unethical and unprofessional. Houda also had the nerve to tell me that I "didn't like the dress anyway" and that she "could easily sell it to someone else" which was not appreciated. I feel cheated and waited nearly 7 months for a used sample dress... Long story short, my experience was not positive and won't be returning to look for another dress. read more

Bridal Palace was the 5th and last place I went to in my search for a wedding dress. I have always been very decisive and new exactly what I was looking for, (although still open to trying on the associate's recommendations), so most appointments went by pretty quickly. The dress I ended up choosing was brought to me as a suggestion, after not seeing anything else I was really fond of. It's really true what they say - when you know, you know. I didn't want to take it off! The team was complimentary and supportive, but also gave me my space to react first (unlike lots of places that tell you EVERYTHING you try on is "the one"). I was absolutely in love. I think this was the moment it really hit me, and the stresses of planning left my mind, even for a little bit. I can't thank Bridal Palace enough! I bought my daughter's prom dress here and their failed to update me about important delivery information. They originally told me it would arrive in 2 weeks so when 3 weeks passed, I called for an update and they told me I lied about being told 2 weeks....Why would I make that up??? If they told me 4 weeks, I would have checked at 4-5 weeks after the order date!!! Then... the alterations were done so sloppy!!! We had to ask for it to be re-done twice!! I am glad I came here for my first round dress hunting. This wedding thing is already stressful enough without the extra pressure from vendors and sales staffs. Whitney was so kind and genuinely loves wedding. I din't feel like I'm being pressured to make a sale, she doesn't even push you to get the more expensive stuffs. The lady at Bridal Palace was absolutely amazing! I cant remember her name since we were so mesmerized by all the dresses but she was a rockstar and the sweetest lady. Her customer service was beyond fabulous!! We booked a last minute appointment and she was super accommodating. The place offers a great selection of dresses from all different styles and the best part the sizing and alteration time frames are very reasonable. Our girl squad had a great time trying on dresses for our friend and she was super helpful along the way and we got a great price on an Italian designed dress that will arrive before our wedding date in April. Excited to see my friend in the dress once its all done. The quality of dresses is also awesome and they don't use cheap lace fabric like most places we've seen and we had been to 3 other shops previously. She isn't pushy on selling you any of the dresses either and offered her opinions like a friend and helped add touches like different veils, jewels and belts so we could get a better feel for what we were looking for. Highly recommend checking out this place especially if you started late on the dress shopping like we did! The location is also super convenient and right across from the Crossroads strip mall in Bellevue and they have plenty of parking right out front. read more

This was the first bridal shop I ever visited. We had a little mix up with my appt time and date, but they were so kind to fit me into their busy schedule. My favorite part about this store is that the sales reps are so sweet to get you into a ball gown! And whether you want one or not, please take their advice to try one! Then kindly proceed to the dresses you want. They carry many of my favorite designers at this store, Pronovias and Eddy K. Not many stores in Washington carry Eddy K! You can call them in advance to see what designs of each dress they have in stock to try on. The sample sales here are also amazing!! As mother of the bride, finding the right dress was really important to me. During these pandemic times, the large department stores had little or nothing to choose from. I found Bridal Palace online, and even though it's an hour drive to get there, I took my chances. The ladies there were so helpful, and chose several dresses for me to try. I found the perfect dress, in the perfect color. I told the mother of the groom about Bridal Palace, and she found a dress that she loves there too.
