Bricktown Brewery! I absolutely love this place! My first experience here was amazing but the second after just solidified the 5 Star rating. First time visiting Bricktown, I had the Chicken Fried Chicken, Beer Battered Avocado slices, and one of their house beers. All amazing. Highly recommend all these items. The food was all high quality and fresh. The service was outstanding and second to none. When I dine out for an experience, I hope it's comparable to Bricktown's staff. After this first experience, I visited Bricktown again, the next day. And again was delivered the same quality and experience as before. Went here for a birthday party, so I was able to sample quite a few things. Firstly because this place is still new plan on at least a 45 minute wait no matter how big or small your party is; you might get a seat at the bar if you're alone but don't count on it. The people we were with ordered the fried avocado, and cheese curds. The fried avocado was different, extremely greasy, but good especially with the dipping sauce. The cheese curds were literally the best I ever had! The wife and I split the BBQ Nachos, plenty big for two people and very tasty. My complaint about them was there wasn't a lot of BBQ or cheese. I also found their beers very middle of the road; good but not great. The beer mugs are also a bit overboard; sure they are original and cool but way too heavy, I suggest telling them you want a normal pint glass. The service was also slow, sure they just opened and are slammed, but a few of the staff seemed annoyed, and it's understandable, but hey if you can't tolerate serving don't be in service. If I were on that side of town "which I'm usually not" I would go back on a weekday. I'm not going out of my way to visit again, but I definitely wouldn't avoid it. read more

We were pleasantly surprised that all the positive reviews were so right! On Halloween night, the place was crowded but our wait was only 5 minutes. Once seated Alex was our server and he was great, attentive and always there on time. He's a great one for your staff. We started with the fried cheese curds and they were worth extra calories. We had to stop at the come and go at Lowe's, as I was already having severe stomach cramps and diarrhea, I got home and I had diarrhea vomiting all night morning, diarrhea and vomiting and stomach cramps. Cold mash potatoes don't really go well with anything. I still gave three stars as the service was exceptional and I don't think serving cold sides would be a customary thing for this restaurant. Stopped in during a road trip and we just wanted a quick bite. Ordered the Gouda fondue and poutine appetizers and a side of gnocchi. Everything was delicious. The fondue was served with crispy naan and was smooth and creamy. The poutine had crispy bits of pork belly along with the gravy and cheese curds. I had never had poutine before but if this is the standard, I'll be looking for more. The gravy was good but that bite with fry + gravy + cheese was divine. Lastly, the gnocchi was served with a pesto cream sauce that was also creamy and delicious. And topped with crumbled goat cheese that made a huge difference in the bite. Food's all right, but it's too noisy for my taste. At least it was when I went. Too crowded, and too noisy. I used to really love this place back when it was Old Chicago. It wasn't so crowded, there was a relaxing atmosphere, the burgers were delicious (and cheap), and they had trivia games. Apparently (from what I understood) the owner decided he could make more money changing it to a Bricktown Brewery. Also a franchise, but more trendy and more seats filled per square foot. The service really needs some work, here. Our waiter was like a robot that didn't speak. Like, he said, "can I get your order." And that was it, the whole night. No greeting, no anything, just a nod and a questioning look. Someone else brought our food out, but didn't interact otherwise. The turkey burger was pretty good. It had good flavor, and the toppings were fresh. I got broccoli for the side, and it was pretty salty, but not horrible. My boyfriend got the country fried steak or chicken, whatever it was, it was burnt and chewy. Also, very greasy. The mashed potatoes he got were not warm, and had zero flavor.
