We went there Saturday around 7pm. The restaurant was not busy - there were many tables empty. The hostess asked if we had reservations and we said no. After about 5 minutes she eventually gave us a table. No one else showed up at the restaurant. Not a good way to invite customers into the restaurant. Not a good experience at all! ! We got there for our reservation and when they seated us I noticed crushed tortillas and food on the floor at the table they tried to seat us. I went to hostess and she went to get manager and he said we will get another table for us. We waited 5 minutes and still no table. I attended a baby shower here this past weekend and enjoyed the experience - they have a small private room (we probably maxed it out with our group of 40) and the service was impeccable - there was always someone refilling your glass or getting you another beverage from the bar. The food was okay - I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to eat here again (I don't live in the area), but it wasn't bad. I had the crab cake with fries - the crab cake itself was meaty but lacked some seasoning. The fries were sad. They were thin (And not good thing like the golden arches) and a bit under cooked. My friends each had the pasta dish and it was just lacking - a piece of garlic bread would have been a nice touch, but in reality the sauce needed a lot of work, it was very watery. This post is as of 3/31/19. My son and I have not been here in over a year .... Seems we have not missed anything . Sadly while some of the staff may have changed the same low standards for low quality food has not changed . Eggs Benedict is still over cooked poached hard eggs on uncooked English muffins with an eyedroppers worth of hollandaise sauce. The carving station is still serving over cooked roast beef and turkey. Very sad because this place could be a home run if the kitchen staff showed the same dedication to excellence as some of the wait staff. Decided to go here on a whim because we wanted to try something new instead of the same old places. Yikes! We should have stayed with the same old places. My wife ordered a special dish of the day which was Southern Fried Scallops. I tried the Stuffed Shrimp and we had Fried Oysters for an appetizer. We have firmly concluded that they have no idea how to cook seafood! The scallops and shrimp were overcooked, rubbery and largely tasteless. The shrimp also came with lemon flavored mashed potatoes; and they messed those up as well. They tasted more like mashed potatoes that someone spilled the lemon juice on. When you make lemon zest mashed potatoes you use a heavy dose of heavy cream and butter...both were sadly missing so it was just nasty. Service was mediocre but the place has a nice ambiance. We'll probably go back to see if they know how to cook a pizza or something simple like a burger, but this place is off the list for anything else in our opinion! read more

A coworker and I were stuck here waiting for a ride back to our NYC office and were glad that a) we didn't get rushed out and b) they gave us lots of soda refills. The food has gone downhill. I've been coming here for at least 8 years and have always loved their food. Every time I ordered takeout the past few months my food has been pretty greasy. My favorite dish, the blackened chicken quesadilla has just been filled with cheese, not the pumpkin seeds that make it delicious and unique. Today we came for our first meal out of quarantine. I ordered a crab cake for $17...fair price except that I got cannned black beans and corn under my greasy crab cake. This was an entree, single, but still an entree, that didn't come with anything other than canned black beans that probably cost $98 cents at the local Giant. If your eyes are sharp, you may spot me there - sitting by myself in my fur coat, donning a beret and smoking from a long, ivory cigarette holder. If so, come join me. No seriously, no one comes near me when I dress like that. It worked for Truman Capote, damn it. In any event, the lobster roll flies off the menu so you have to be quick. Their oyster selection has had marine biologists recheck their shellfish catalogs, and the warm goat cheese strawberry salad is a favorite - even amongst truckers, bikers and stuntmen. 3.5 stars for this local establishment. I'm rounding up for their unique dishes, but sadly they fell a little short. My crew and I stopped here for a work dinner on a Wednesday night. The place had a decent crowd and parking was ample. Our server was friendly but gave way too many recommendations. I prefer it when they pick out one or two items from each section. I decided upon the special which was Char. When I asked her what type of fish Char was, she responded a cross between trout and salmon....hmmmm, ok. Before my fish, I ordered a salad with goat cheese and for the price it was a little skimpy. Once my char arrived, it actually tasted really good and nothing like salmon. The portion was fine but a little over priced. My guests ordered a fish n chips platter ( a little too much batter) and a fish sandwich. Ordered takeout through DoorDash app. Arrived on time and warm. Sweet Thai Chili wings had very little to no flavor, all heat. Disappointing. BBQ St Louis ribs have no Bbq flavor, basically an unappetizing brown gravy coating spare ribs without any smoke flavor. The ribs and sauce were packed in the same container as the fries, so those were all soggy and not appealing at all. The accompanying side of black beans and corn also had no flavor. We had a very nice lunch here today. I had a delicious pepperoni pizza and my wife had a blackened chicken wrap with sweet potato fries. Our server was fantastic as was one of her peers. The other server just happened to walk by when I said I could use some paper napkins and immediately grabbed some and brought them to me. Truly impressive and to be commended. I was excited to spend Valentine's day with my husband at Brickside Grille; made the reservations almost 2 weeks in advance and yet, when we arrived, we were seated in the 'overflow' section of the restaurant (to the right of the lobby). That would have been find EXCEPT that everytime a car started up, we were blinded by the headlights-see the photo. Not only that but the filet mignon I ordered was a very poor piece of meat-I could have gotten a burger at McDonald's and it would have tasted a lot better! Went here last night and I had a subpar experience. The potato skins were a bit greasy and didn't have much potato inside. Worse still, my chicken caesar salad was a nasty disappointment. I took a bite of the chicken and noticed immediately that it was very soft. Upon closer inspection, several pieces were RAW in the center! The manager came over and she was apologetic, taking the salad off the bill and bringing a new one within 10 minutes. Although the chicken was cooked the second time, the lettuce was watery and the dressing was thin and bland. The best part of the restaurant is the outdoor seating by the fountains, but that's about it. There are several other places to eat if you're coming by to enjoy the park or an outdoor concert. I got there at 4:00 PM , there was no one out front. We could hear lots of voices in the back , so we stood there for a few minutes hoping someone would come up and they did not . We asked someone at the Oyster bar if there was anyone out front , instead of getting someone , he said someone will come up and walked away. We finally got seated ,we were the only ones there. We started off with the Clams Casino , they were good but they put grated Parmesan cheese on top, I don't know why. We both ordered the lobster bisque and it was terrible , we sent it back , it was a deep red tomato paste base as opposed to more of a lighter cream style one. There was no flavor. The server forgot to take it off the check at the end. We reminded her . She forgot to get coffee we asked for also. We got the crab , spinach and artichoke dip. The pitas were a good flavor , little harder than I would've liked . The dip was too creamy and not hot enough. Here is where they could've used some real cheese broiled on top. There was no melted hard cheese throughout. My Mother had a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp on top , the shrimp were large and grilled to perfection. For some reason they put bacon and tomato in the Caesar Salad . I love bacon and tomatoes , but they really don't go in a Ceasar Salad. It was slow as the servers were filtering in for their shifts. The only thing you could hear in the restaurant was them , talking behind us very loudly about life in general and the restaurant woes , it was annoying. When it came time to get the check , she was nowhere to be found . I finally had to ask someone if she could find my server. I will say she did come back and ask us if everything was all right a few times, but when it wasn't OK , she was nowhere around. We won't be back , $70 wasted now we know why the other restaurants next door were full and this one was empty. read more

This place would easily get five stars if it weren't for the clever way they skimp on quantity of the key ingredients. Got lobster bisque which was fantastic. The shrimp stuffed with crabmeat had a large helping of really good mashed potatoes (with horseradish) and nice fresh green beans. When paying a high price for this dish that offers only three stuffed shrimp, you'd expect them to be jumbo shrimp but they were medium at best. The server was nice enough but she was pretty busy. We only got one water refill even though my husbands glass was empty the majority of the meal and were only offered the chance to get. The hostesses were also great and sat us outside on a busy Saturday night. The atmosphere here, is amazing for a date night and for the first time we had based our dinner plans on atmostphere over food. I give 5/5 for the live music and perfect weather, string lights and outdoor vibes. I give a 1/5 for the food (keeping in mind we only tried two things on the menu) We started with 4 shrimp with cocktail sauce. They were fresh and delicious. Then I ordered the paella with chorizo and chicken, my husband ordered a custom pizza with pepp and sausage. My paella was probably the worst thing i've ever gotten at any restaurant, ever. I also am not a picky eater and typically I dont write negative reviews..I am a positive feedback only, yelp reviewer.. I am writing this more to warn people not to order what we did because you will be disappointed. I have a feeling that sticking with seafood is a safe bet if you eat here... The Paella tasted like bland tomato sauce from a can with some cold rice, chicken that was overcooked pieces with no flavor to them maybe a frozen breast cut up and the sausage was low grade and no crisp at all just watery. I have only had Paella a handful of times in my life but as soon as the dish came out I was already aware it looked nothing like Paella I had had at Spanish restaurants even remotely. The texture of this dish resembled a rice soup. I tried to add loads of salt and pepper but still pretty bland. I seriously wondered how they could charge 19 dollars for this when it was just so horrible and how it was even on the menu.. It also came out lukewarm at best and cold in some spots.. no idea how that could be but the meal in general was cold overall. My husbands pizza was also overpriced for what it was. The cheese wasnt melted, I assume because the quality of the mozza it just didnt melt how a pizza should. It was also lukewarm at best and crust felt so doughy and not cooked crisp for how thin it was.. sort of like a like a precooked dough. I took a slice when I wasn't a fan of my paella and couldn't decide which was worse :/. Based on my shrimp being fresh but the two mains not being seafood and being terrible, my best assumption is that sticking to fresh fish or things of that nature is the safest way to go. I'm not sure ill be back here, thought the atmosphere was lovely; I cant justify spending a date night out that we get once every few months, on some bad food. To MGMT: I highly recommend taking the paella off your menu, I noticed I'm not the only one to be let down by this. People aren't brave enough to speak out on the spot for fear of spitting in their food or being too pushy. I worked in restaurants and understand the demand on everyone but this dish was really truly not salvageable...it is not worthy of being on the menu... to the staff.. I would highly suggest if someone does order, you stop them. I would tip someone more on my business travel, if they were honest or upfront about the things that were not the best on the menu. I never write reviews for places but I am highly disappointed by my experience at this restaurant. My boyfriend and I went here last night for his birthday. I noted in the reservation that it was his birthday so that the waitstaff would be aware. Our reservation was for 6:15 and when we arrived the lobby was filled with multiple families who had not yet been sat and also had reservations. The hostess kindly asked us to wait, which we didn't have a problem with. She told us that she just had to wait for our table to be cleaned. A few other employees were standing around until she finally asked one to clean our table. We sat maybe 15-20 minutes after our reservation, and multiple clean tables were open around us. Our waitress approached us maybe 2 minutes after we sat down to ask if we were ready to order, to which we kindly replied that we JUST sat down and we needed a few minutes. She came back again a few minutes later to ask again and we said no. Then, she took our order and disappeared quite literally for the rest of the night. I noticed tables around us had bread, were constantly getting refills and their waiters/waitresses were highly attentive. We never got bread and had to flag her down for more water. Someone else brought our food, which was pretty good. Our waitress came by at the very end and didn't ask how anything was and just gave us the check. I was very disappointed by the bad service and needless to say we will not be returning. read more

Brickside is my 2nd favorite restaurant in the Town Center of Eagleview for a few reasons: 1) The food is a great! My only complaint is a little lack of variety in the menu - and that my favorite pizza, the Thai pizza was taken off the menu! (Bring it back!) I would definitely recommend the nachos. The burgers are great, too. 2) prices are on the more pricey side but you get what you pay for in terms of quantity AND quality! There is also a happy hour, which I cannot remember the hours for right off the top of my head, where there are GREAT deals! 3) the atmosphere is super comfortable and cozy. Not often I find a restaurant terrible enough to give a review. However, this place checked every box. With reservations we were seated at a table with chips and tortillas on the floor. While waiting for new table we noticed the cooking staff comfortably nose out of mask during still Covid where legit restaurants struggled to have patrons. We gave the respectable amount of time for another seat to get our date night started while the two young hostess had no interest to clean food from the floor(clearly below their pay grade).
