Interesting thing happened. My wife and I went for dinner, buck a shuck and outdoor seating. We were at our table about 10 minutes when a waitress approached us to tell us it was not her table but she would take our drink order and get our waiter. 5 minutes later, the hostess came over to apologize for the confusion and to let us know that our first drinks would be on the house. 5 minutes after that the manager came over and repeated the same thing. We're easy going and had never called anyone over and thanked them all when they did come over. However, 15 more minutes, (so over 35 minutes after being seated) still no waiter, no drinks and we couldn't find any of the people that had previously come over . We left. Nice idea but no follow-up. This was after some fairly slow service the last time we were at this restaurant. Sorry but two strikes and you're out. read more

Called for a party of ten for Sunday brunch, an outside table was reserved for us in a very nice courtyard. I enjoy brunches and was not disappointed with Brickside Grille and the staff our server Casey was excellent and very inventive and had gone over board to make sure our brunch with family and friends was a great experience and it was thanks Casey! Also Mike the Sioux Chef was so very accommodating and went well beyond in making our brunch truly a enjoyable experience. The food was outstanding , fresh ,flavorful and well presented a wide selection of smoked fish , eggs Benedict prepared to request, oysters and clams on the half shell and shrimp, also made to order were frittata's that were outstanding. The restaurant space is very clean and has a brilliant decor. The cocktail program is impressive. The oyster selection was really great, although expensive. All the food was well done and everyone enjoyed it. My only negative was that the service was slow and spotty. The restaurant was not busy in my opinion. Had the fish and chips. The fish in batter was authentically good, but portion size was poor. Also came in a basket with fries. When I go to a restaurant I prefer to eat off a plate. Traditionally when eating FnC in a restaurant it is served with peas, but there was no veg. My biggest complaint though is charging extra for using a credit card. Two tables next to us sent food back, not because the food was bad, but simply because you could tell they just wanted to be difficult. We chose the Brickside Grille for two wedding party events: our rehearsal dinner and our farewell brunch. Carter, the manager, was very responsive and made the planning process very easy. The planning portal made it easy to keep track of our changes and Carter made very accurate notes of our preferences. The food was delicious - we got the pork and salmon for dinner, and for the brunch we got the breakfast toss, sticky buns, potatoes, ravioli, and chicken wraps. Not to mention the service was excellent! Our wedding party enjoyed their experience at the Brickside Grille and we will certainly be back the next time we are in the area. read more

Busy place but we had a reservation and were seated promptly. Waitress arrived shortly and was very nice. Hostess works hard to seat everyone ASAP. Had the prime rib for the first time and it was one of the best I've ever had. Not excessive fat, done to perfection, and unbelievably tender, juicy, well seasoned, but not too much so. My wife had the salmon which was a little on the small side but very good. Should include a green vegetable like string beans or something to make it a complete meal. Even though the salmon might have improved, I have it a 5 due to the positives above and the outstanding prime rib. read more

Very disappointed in my meal yesterday. The server was great but the Crab Louie salad, which I have had in the past, was missing the crab! $15.50 for some lettuce, egg and a few tomatoes. We ordered two burgers online for pickup. They were ready at the time promised. With an $8.00 tip, the total bill came to over $50.00. Pretty pricey for two hamburgers, one with sweet potato fries, and the other with onion rings. The onion rings and the sweet potato fries were very good. The burgers, on the other hand, were a disappointment, to put it mildly. They were small, tasteless with a few bits of shredded lettuce, a tomato slice that tasted like cardboard, and about a teaspoon of tiny mushrooms. All on a tasteless roll. I had a business lunch here. I was surprised to see how large the restaurant was since I never heard of it. They have ample outdoor seating with socially distant tables. Came to eat dinner and did not have a pleasant experience. Food was not great and cocktails were terrible. Outdoor seating was dirty and the table was very wobbly. Menu says if you pay with visa or Mastercard debit there is no surcharge added. We specifically used a debit card to avoid a fee and were still charged. Came here to Brickside because we were in the area and the few times I've been here prior to quarantine was always a good experience, so we wanted to support them after quarantine as well! We were a little early but they were able to seat us almost immediately. Everyone was following Covid protocols (if that matters to you. Distancing plus all employees in masks). We were greeted by our server and she took our drink orders in a timely fashion. Food was delicious. I had a house salad to start and it was nice and fresh as if it just had come straight from the garden. We ordered an angus burger, and the chicken wrap. Both delicious. The burger was nice and juicy and cooked properly, the spicy jalepeno chicken wrap was indeed spicy and very tasty! Lastly, we went for the peanut butter pie. You must get this great treat if you come here! Big enough two people can share and still unable to finish! It was light, the crust was amazing, the filling was sweet and decadent! We came in on a moderately busy evening and the hostess Katy was a nightmare. We were placed on a waitlist and told it would be a half hour wait. After 45 minutes we asked her for a status and with an awful attitude she said "You don't need to come up here to ask. I'll tell you when we're ready". We figured maybe she was having a bad evening and didn't react. We continued to quietly wait and eventually noticed two other couples who came in after us were sat within 10 minutes of being added to the waitlist. After standing outside for almost an hour and a half we asked another host at the stand about it and confused he said we weren't on the waitlist but could get us a table in 5 minutes. He went to set a table and then the hostess stopped him. She raised her voice at him about "not doing special favors for those people". I think she believed we didn't overhear it because she came back to the stand as if we were invisible. So we explained what the boy said about the waitlist and she practically yelled at us for "trying to skip the line". Then we asked to speak with a manager and she said she was one. So I then asked for the owner's contact information and she said "I'm not going to give his contact out because that won't change anything". We decided to just leave and when I turned around I heard her say to herself "this is why people like you don't get on the list". I've never felt so disrespected and intend to reach out to the owner as soon as I get their information. read more

This restaurant was very appealing when we walked through the door. i ordered the Mediterranean salad and added lobster. My boyfriend ordered the blackened prime rib. The food was great but the waitress we had was subpar! After we ordered our food we never saw her until our food was on the way! i wanted extra dressing for my salad but wasn't able to get it until i almost was finished! we ordered a second cocktails and they didn't show up until we were finished eating! we refused the drinks . we basically were ignored the entire meal. perhaps it was the waitress that ruined my experience. read more

Favorite small bar to come to in exton. We love their live music on the weekends and 1/2 price apps and bourbons. Great happy hour specials. I love their burgers and fries. Also they have great brick oven pizza. I have also had their wings which are decent, especially on their happy hour. Beer offering is great, and always post their current draft list online. The food was cold. Not many people in the restaurant and only one other table outside, yet our pizza and a burger with fries were almost completely cold. The food was not that great anyway, the bun the burger was on was stale and crumbly and the burger wasn't very well cooked. The pizza would have been better if it were hot. Instead of being a place where quality of food and creativity of the menu are important, it's become a place that relies on its excellent location and alcohol sales. Not much to recommend on the menu that stands out, and I'd stay away from the raw bar. While the food is good (rating 3-4); however, we rate the hostesses a 1-2. They are rude and act like you are bothering them. Brickside should retrain the staff (especially the older lady) and make the hostesses realise that the customer's are paying their salaries. It takes no energy to be polite. read more

I love the location of this place, the restaurant.... Not so much. I want to but the past few times we've been here have not been the best. Our most recent time was for dinner in a Saturday night. I ordered the fish and chips sandwich and there was more breeding then fish which was very disappointing and the bun was huge. Way overpriced got hardly any fish. My friend got the salmon and said it was nothing special. I like that there is a brick oven for pizza and that's pretty good. I don't mind spending money for good food but this was just average. I'll stick with its sister restaurant, The Drafting Room, instead. read more

I'm very surprised this place didn't have a higher rating. We arrived for a late dinner on a Wednesday. We were greeted with smiles and they accommodated our party right away with a booth. Our server Lisa was exceptionally nice. We ordered three speciality martinis and they were all very delicious. I especially enjoyed the Rye olde fashioned and the cran apple whiskey sour. We also all ordered steaks (one filet and two strips) and all was cooked properly as requested. The whipped mashed potatoes with blue cheese was amazing. We stopped at this restaurant with our dog and ate outside. They were quite accommodating for bth us and our dog. They bring out water for the dog and they even have a dog burger. We went there Saturday around 7pm. The restaurant was not busy - there were many tables empty. The hostess asked if we had reservations and we said no. After about 5 minutes she eventually gave us a table. No one else showed up at the restaurant. Not a good way to invite customers into the restaurant.
