There was table after table that was empty with dirty dishes on them - meaning short staffed and BAD management. Worries were proved true. Bad & slow service. We dined in at Brickhouse Grille on a Friday night around 9:30 PM after receiving the recommendation from a local Walmart employee. We were visiting the Great Wolf Lodge and wanted a good dinner for a fair price. Our server was friendly and relatable. She recommended the malibu margarita for me & I truly enjoyed it. They had sports on televisions and pop and country music playing. The menu had a little bit of everything and enough options to please the family's different cravings. Hubby & I ordered the ribeye, twice baked potato & steamed broccoli. My son went for a burger with all toppings (no cheese) and french fries. My food was well seasoned! My only complaint was that our steaks were too RARE. I prefer a medium steak with pink (not red meat) and it was not cooked as requested, so I ate most of it and left the rest. My husband likes rare steak and also felt that his could have been cooked a little longer. The other food was delicious. We decided to take an order of 30 mild lemon pepper wings to go to share the next day & they warmed up great. Service was a bit on the slow side when we were waiting for the check and to leave the tip, but I credit that to close time approaching. I can see why this place gets a large group of visitors though... the beer selection and bar is pretty good. Overall however, it gives off a dive bar feel rather than a sports bar. Although they have a kids menu and they have some crayons for kids, it doesn't feel like a place to bring family. The service was nice, but the hostess and waitress lacked in communication. Simple things like saying their names and the normal exchange when being seated and introduced to the waitress did not happen. We've been here a few times. Service has been good. We've had the fried pickles, they were pretty good. They offered 2 sauces, the jalapeno ranchdidn't taste much different then regular ranch. The big ass nachos definitely live up to their name! The Brickhouse Steak Sandwich is ok. I'm from the Philly area, so I'm pretty picky about them. Instead of mozzarella, they should have provolone or white American cheese. I don't expect many places to offer it wit Wiz. The All American burger that we ordered was overcooked. The loaded BHG Mac N cheese is really good. I've only gotten it with bacon, bacon and extra cheese both times I've ordered it. Service has been good when we have gone. It can get kind of loud, but it's a sports bar atmosphere, so it's expected. read more

STAY AWAY do not waste your money here. we got a burger that was absolutely terrible, a pizza that was so soggy you couldn't even pick it up and the toppings were all crap. The bacon was cheap bacon bits from a jar that you get to put on a salad. I asked the server for a buffalo trace sour and he literally came out with a glass of buffalo trace full of just sour mix so then I said I'll just take an old fashioned and out comes a glass of something that looked like fruit punch. Ok so not a great choice on our first day in LaGrange. We were just hungry and saw the sign. I should have checked Yelp but my hunger took over. The staff was excellent that is the only reason you don't see 1 star. The fish and chips were dripping with grease and the chicken and rice soup was so salty my daughter could not eat it. I get that with over four decades on this planet, and having some experience in the restaurant industry, I probably have different standards than today's average workers. That being said, like other posters, when we walked in, we were ignored for about five minutes with maybe a third of the restaurant full. Our table still had to be wiped off because apparently bussing a table properly (clear dirty dishes, wipe the table down and reset for the next diners) isn't par for the course anymore. After a cursory look at the adult beverage menu, I'd recommend saving your money and just buying it at the store. Most of the 16oz beers are the same price or near enough as a 6 pack anywhere else. And why are Wild Leap beers almost double the price of everything else when the brewery is a half mile away? I haven't decided if it's an incredible markup by the restaurant, some ridiculous Lagrange tax or a combination of the two. If you're still with me, let's move on to our order. Appetizer: Seared Sesame Tuna on a bed of some kind of weird Asian coleslaw. The tuna was pretty tasty. The coleslaw, or whatever it is, tastes like something made in an Army dining facility. Not great. Wife's Order: Angus Beef & Cheddar Sliders with asparagus. Basically 3 Krystal burgers and a side. They only have 3 kinds of sliders. No you can't just have one of each. That would be too complicated for the kitchen. According to her "underwhelming" is the descriptive word here. My Order: The Fried Chicken Sandwich, tossed in hot sauce with a side of fries. The sandwich's temperature was in the appropriate range, that's a plus. The fries were cold and soggy. Had to ask if I could have some that did not fit that description about 5-10 minutes after they were delivered because checking on your diners' meals within 3 minutes of delivery to make sure everything is satisfactory is no longer taught. (Again, they were not busy at 2:30pm, probably should have been a clue.) If you're looking for fare half a step above McDonald's, just because of the variety, for four times the price, this is your place. read more

Wow! I'm lost for words. Let me see if I can find a few. There is certainly good and bad to be said regarding this food establishment. As soon as we walked in; I saw the health department score, 99. (That was a plus) I also saw a good amount of trash on the floor around the tables. (Yuck) In addition; I noticed a stagnant smell in the air. I worked in the food industry for over 20 years and a good trademark of any restaurant should be the aroma of mouthwatering food lingering throughout the entire establishment. It's not very often we make it to LeGrange, so we asked someone what they recommended and this was top on their list! We had to give it a try. Our server did a great job! We were seated quickly and just as quickly had our drink and appetizer orders placed. I love a good Cheesesteak and couldn't pass up the cheesesteak fries. Absolutely loved the fries! The cheese was super creamy and there was a great topping-to-fries ratio. My wife and I were super excited after the appetizer! The entree, though, didn't quite live up to the appetizer. I had the Downtown (with mac and cheese) and my wife tried the tavern (she does love an egg on her burger!). It was a really tasty burger, just not a good mac and cheese burger. The meat overwhelmed everything else on the burger. I tried the Mac and cheese separately and really loved it!! Couldn't taste it, though on the burger. During our visit to the Brickhouse Grill in LaGrange, Georgia, we called an hour ahead to ask if they could accommodate a large party of about 17-20 people. We were told they don't take same-day reservations, but that we could come in and expect about an hour wait. When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty, maybe 10 people in a space that could easily seat around 60, but when we told the hostess we had a party of 20, she seemed shocked and went to get the manager or owner. The manager came out, and when my wife said we had 20 people, she just stared at her without greeting or friendliness and curtly said, "You can have a seat." When my wife asked how long the wait would be, the manager replied, "It's going to be a while," in an extremely rude tone and said "You can have a seat" again. It was clear we were an inconvenience to this establishment. Moments later, we saw the hostess setting up tables and chairs right away, proving there wasn't really a long wait ahead of us. Overall, we felt disrespected and unwelcome, despite being patient, giving advanced notice, understanding, and ready to give them significant business. We were heading to West Point Lake on Sunday and stopped in LaGrange for lunch first. Previously, the 3 - 4 times we'd visited LaGrange, we were there on a Saturday when there were more restaurant choices. On a Sunday (especially before noon) your choices are quite limited. This is probably the first restaurant that opens for lunch, so we parked around the corner and walked down. You enter via what is basically the basement of the shops that front on Main Street. They are also adjacent to a large public parking garage. We were the 2nd or 3rd party to arrive, so we were seated promptly. It was a bit dark inside, actually (esp. around lunchtime). Our server was quite friendly. We got drinks and reviewed the menu. We ordered and the food came out fairly quickly. I got a Philly wrap with fries and my wife got a club sandwich with a side salad. The food was pretty tasty. Overall, we enjoyed the meal. We had eaten at another Brickhouse Grill in Newnan over a year ago, and liked this branch better. Depending on when you visit LaGrange, this spot can be worth checking out. read more

So we arrive and only three other tables have patrons seated. Our waitress waited almost 12 minutes before getting our drink order. We placed our drink order along with two other appetizers. 25 minutes later we finally get our drinks. 45 minutes later we get our appetizer. One...at this point she tells us one of our appetizers are unavailable. At the 1:12 minute mark our food comes out. Kids is right, my pizza is wrong and my wife's salad is still awol. So for some reason this seems like the spot you end up at while looking for food in downtown La grange. We were a party of 3 (4 if you count our pup) we asked to sit outside and were told to go ahead and there would be a 20 mins wait. We had our heart set on lemon pepper wings), the black and blue burger med rare and a cup of loaded baked potato soup. The nachos came out with out the pulled pork. We got the pulled pork as we took the last bite of nachos. The salad and burger took like 30 mins, the burger was well done and the soup had too much black pepper for the average persons taste bud. We of course still tipped 20+% because hey even though she may have not been the best waitress for our table.
