    Wine tree

Super cute place! The wine tree is a great option especially if you're new to wine or want to try something new. The black cherry was my favorite and I'm not a fan of the sweet wines. Our chicken piccata was just ok. The chicken was over cooked and not much sauce. We had to ask for some additional lemon butter sauce. Which helped. Service was good. Maybe a touch on the slow side. Our server was friendly enough. I would go back and try another entree.

We loved visiting the winery. The food was amazing and the wine was even better. Beautiful location inside and out.

First time here. 6:00 reservation, took a bit to get the food, salad came out with the dinner instead of before. But, besides that excellent food and service. On the expensive side compared to some restaurants but the quality was outstanding. I had the lasagna and my wife had the pork tenderloins. We'll be back!

Excellent menu. The pimento cheese side was amazing! Fresh, homemade--and had a little kick to it! We Loved the waiter. Great service food presentation was on point had the best hamburger my friend had a chicken salad. I love the building! It wasn't too noisy, and the staff were very engaged. Beautiful restaurant! The locals better not let this one go! We were from out of town. Great place for events or company, lunches or dinners with a really nice private room. The porch area is super nice too and cozy.

There are things I loved and some things I didn't. It's very cold if it's cold outside and you sit on the patio, the barrier won't keep you very warm. We asked for heat lamps the entire night, and they never turned ours on. Skip the oysters and both wraps at lunch. The charcuterie, short rib pasta and shrimp and grits was amazing, and the caprese was sooo good. I didn't love sitting outside, but I absolutely loved the bar area. It was cozy and felt kind of like a cool, trendy spot for our little growing town. The service is really good too, it's like everyone wants to help everyone out. I'm in the service industry and love seeing team work like that. They all seemed like they get along. Oh and the wine is obviously wonderful:)

This place was amazing! Extremely pleased with our dining experience. We had the brisket nachos, snapper, and cowboy steak all delicious! We had two wine trees and they were perfect! We will definitely be coming back. Our server was great, gave wonderful recommendations. The ambiance was great not too noisy and a very beautiful space.

    Pecan crusted French toast

Brought my wife and son here for Sunday brunch for our 12th anniversary and WOW! French toast: phenomenal. Breakfast burrito: phenomenal. Grits: amazing. Ambience was impressive to say the least. Aubrie was our server and was just awesome with her help, service and smile! Thank you for making our anniversary brunch very memorable and we will be back soon!!

    Shrimp and grits

Really rich and creamy shrimp and grits. Love the southern fried caprese, this is my second time having it :) the wine is really good too and the ambiance is really warm and inviting at night. Love the space. Looking forward to coming back and trying something new! *Both times we had great service also, our server Mathew this past time was really helpful and Brenda is always amazing!

    Wine tasting x 4 cheers!

She was super busy, but checked everyone in and gladly took a photo! Let's talk about customer Service! From the moment Cade stepped up to say Hi, I knew we were going to have great service! We asked a lot of questions, and he made the best suggestions! Top notch! One of my friends was commenting on how she always has the best service, and she and Cade realized he had taken care of her group before! Consistency in the restaurant business is key, but you all nailed it! The wine flight (thanks Cade for the amazing recommendations!!) and the food was outstanding! Huge portions! My husband enjoyed my leftovers for dinner! Thank you for a fabulous experience!

The winery was overly packed and believe the owner wasn't expecting such a huge turnout. The wait was about 3 1/2 hours! I tried calling to make reservations earlier in the week, but they were only accepting reservations for 12+. As we waited, there were lawn games to play, live music to listen to and fabulous drinks to be had. The choc covered strawberry wine slushies were absolutely delicious!! We had a couple appetizers while waiting as well... The spinach and cheese stuffed bread, baked Brie and pimento cheese dip. All excellent, and some of the best pimento cheese dip we have had. When we finally got seated, we ordered a couple wine flights and the bruschetta pasta for dinner along with the pecan crusted chicken wrap. The chicken seemed a little dry but the wrap was still fresh and tasty. I have been there before and love the winery. I will continue to go back as their food is always fresh and delicious, their staff is friendly and the establishment itself is very clean.

The best restaurant in LaGrange, GA, is in West Point, GA…read more This place is a one-of-a-kind treat in every possible way! If you arrive at lunchtime to a locked door, don't be shy! KNOCK BOLDLY, asking for lunchtime availability! They told us to encourage that! A friend and I had been to Sip for lunch several times (as had both of us with groups of friends) and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. After checking that it was open on Tuesday, we went there again intending to feast again for lunch. When we arrived at what we thought was the right time, though, the door was locked. After pulling on the handle to no avail, the door was opened by the friendly kitchen manager, Melissa, who told us that they were only open now at lunchtime on weekends for brunch and Wed. through Sat. for dinner. She told us to wait just a minute, then opened the door wide for us to enter, greeted not only by her but also by the owner, Jamie, who welcomed us with open arms for a "private" lunch. It turned out that they were testing the full menu that day to ensure consistency in every dish. He offered us our choice of anything on the menu and spent much of his busy time chatting with us about his and his wife's arrival in West Point from LA (Lower Alabama and Prattville) via Atlanta to West Point for a change of pace, vocation, and lifestyle. Both Jamie and Melissa (the rest of the staff was in the kitchen testing and cooking) were sincere, hospitable, and incredibly personable. He said that sometimes he sits outside and talks to passers by who may think the restaurant is too expensive and upscale to try. One night, he invited a biker who was waiting in line outside a neighboring less formal restaurant to come look at the venue and the menu. He and his friends are involved in biking to raise funds for charities such as service veterans. He was so impressed with Sip that the next morning he and 17 of his friends showed up for brunch! He also told us how, in contrast to his engineering background, he'd ended up owning and running a FABULOUS, atmospheric restaurant in small town West Point, GA. Having decided to detour his career, he hired a consultant who must be excellent him/herself because, once you set foot in the environment, it is calm and welcoming, the menu is varied offering something for all palates, and he and his staff are attentive but not overbearing or unctuous. Aspects of his engineering background come through in his attention to detail and desire for memorable eating experiences through practice, practice, practice. He also emphasized the team approach involving the entire staff in ensuring a memorable dining experience for his customers. His goal is that they will be so consistent that anyone could take their recipes and replicate them in any kitchen. After mulling over the broad menu, my friend ordered lobster thermidor. Melissa exclaimed that it was her favorite item on the menu, so I, too, ordered it after considering the gumbo or spicy shrimp. Oh My Gravy! We were NOT disappointed. Had Melissa and Jamie not been around, I would have picked up the lobster shell and gnawed it to be SURE I had ALL of the meat eaten! It was tender, buttery, but not smothered in sauce and SOOO good I was ready to go back for dinner! There was enough of it and some accompanying greens that we didn't need more (although we ordered a scrumptious cheesecake to top it off!) The meal offered a sufficient amount of food for dinner as well as lunch. My friend and I told him how much we--and others, several of whom drive farther to Auburn, AL for dinner out--wished that he would expand to LaGrange, GA, our hometown as we have LOTS of "restaurants" but few that offer a consistently delicious meal in a relaxing, atmospheric venue. We were thrilled with our choice and are planning on taking many more friends down there for weekend brunch or dinner!

I'd say it's not great for big groups, but the owner VIRGIL made it happen with our group of 12! SERVICE (5/5): The owners VIRGIL & CAROLINE are an amazing duo. Virgil's knowledge of wine and Caroline's pastry skills make for a deadly combination.
