We were in the area celebrating our wedding anniversary and decided to book a reservation after reading all the amazing reviews. The restaurant is very cute and truly has an "at home" feel. I was really looking forward to having the short rib. Unfortunately when we were seated our waitress told us they didn't have it that day. While ordering drinks my husband was ordering beer and he was told they didn't sell what he was asking for. Even though it was listed on the menu. He ended up ordering whatever the waitress suggested and we ordered the shrimp cocktail while we looked over the menu. The shrimp cocktail was very good. For dinner I ordered the filet with lobster and my husband the Pork shank. My filet came out overcooked but was promptly fixed. The lobster was amazing ! My husband wasn't a big fan of the pork. We did order a cheesecake for dessert that was also really good. Overall our experience was pleasant but food wise not what I'd expected from the other reviews. However the service was great. The owner is so nice and spent time socializing at each table. He even came to make sure my second set of fillets were good to go. Our waitress is also very nice. I'm going for five stars because the filet mignon was superb. One of the best steaks I have had in years. The place is eclectic. It's an old house that appears to have been added on to four or five times. The decor varys from your great grandmothers old furniture to things like a white piano, red carpet, wild murals on the walls. It's unique. It's something that you definitely should go see. Service was excellent. The owner Daghar, met us at the door and made us feel like old friends dropping by for dinner. He's a character. He kidded about being from Lebanon Tennessee. He's actually from Lebanon and has the expected accent. He's a totally delightful host and was frendly to everyone. Our waitress was also frendly and helpful, giving us details of Daghar's life. He bought this place after a colorful life living across the US. The plan was to build it into a restaurant and he has added on to the house several times to accommodate crowds. It's an old horse farm and at one time you could apparently ride in a horse drawn carriage here. Our waitress has worked for Daghar for 22 years. Obviously he's a good employer as well as a real character. He suggested a very nice bottle of wine after we described our tastes. It was an Italian Cab. At $50 it was very reasonably priced for a restaurant. We both had the filet and as I mentioned, the steak was superb. They served a delicious salad with a ginger dressing that was as good as anything I have ever eaten on lettuce. Altogether this was a great meal in an unexpected atmosphere. I would suggest that the meal was as good as any I have enjoyed at twice the price. Definitely a must try place if you are nearby. read more

There something to be said about hometown ambience. Dagger does an amazing job at not only creating the food but taking the time to chat up his patrons. The food 9 times out of 10 is excellent. He can cook up a mean short rib like no one's business. When he has it prime rib is a favorite along with the lamb. The side salads are large and fresh and everything is reasonably priced. Summary: very nice place with good food, good service and reasonable prices, plus a pleasant drive. No need to fight traffic and look for parking like in ATL. Definitely worth a visit. Story: went for our anniversary after deciding there was no way we wanted to drive to ATL. It is certainly off the beaten path but GPS found it no problem. We had reservations but went on a Tuesday night so it wasn't busy. The decor is dated but nice, not pretentious or stuffy at all. Everyone was very pleasant, attentive and helpful. Not a craft beer or high end wine selection, but reasonably priced. We ordered the specials: rainbow trout for my wife and some lobster pasta dish for myself. Both were very good. Nice location in the country situated by itself with lots of parking. It appeared right off that they were understaffed, and the manager was stressed we were seated, and our order was taken. The salad was just lettuce. My husband received his meal long before I did and his pasta was cold. My meal was salmon and it was perfectly cooked and delicious however, the rice was cold as were the vegetables. I see a lot of potential in this restaurant maybe if the owners would not be so frugal they would be more popular. Too many options out there to make this repeat event read more

This is a place I have had in my list to visit for quite some time (3 years). The personal and attentive service combined with a great meal made our 25th anniversary dinner a wonderful experience. The fresh baked bread was amazing along with a garden salad with a very tasteful sesame ginger dressing. The main course consisted of tender filet mignon with lobster, mashed potatoes, green beans as well as carrots with a hint of brown sugar. Dinner was topped off with a carmel cheese cake. So rare that a restaurant exceeds expectations, but this one absolutely did. Came to celebrate a 60th birthday. The food was amazing and would have cost nearly twice as much at most restaurants in Columbus. Huge ribeye. vegetables and potatoes. So delicious. Tiramisu and turtle cheesecake for dessert. Love the rural setting - gravel parking lot off a 2-lane road north of Pine Mountain, with pastures behind. The building is an old house with artsy/flowery decor. Not really my thing, but I guess it has character. We went on a pretty quiet mid-week evening -- we were one of 3 or 4 tables when we arrived, and were the last to leave. Dagher spent some time chatting with us before the meal and brought us some wine. He is an interesting character -- very friendly and welcoming & has lots of stories to share. The menu was fairly simple but had everything you need IMHO -- steaks, lobster, pasta, salad, veggies. The bread was warm & tasty. The salad was fresh baby spinach and carrots -- simple & high quality. We had the filet & lobster and the lamb shank (a special IIRC) and both were excellent. The lobster was perfect. The filet was cooked exactly as I expected for medium-rare, and it was super tasty. The lamb shank was braised and so tender it could be cut with a fork. The mashed potatoes were unremarkable but good. And the veggies (which came with just about every plate) were again simple but nicely prepared. Dagher came back and chatted with us a bit more after our meal, and interacted a bit with each person at the table. It's clear he enjoys serving & engaging with everyone. Overall a very pleasant experience. This might be my new favorite place for a nice meal in the Pine Mountain area. read more

We arrived an found that the owner Dagher was very friendly and hospitable so willing to make everyone happy and comfortable. The server a very lovely lady had a wonderful smile and very knowledgeable on the menu. They sat us down in a comfortable table they asked us for our drink order and allowed us time to look at the menu. The owner hisself came to our table explained the specials and continued to have a nice conversation with us. A very nice surprise. After talk to the waitress we order our starters crab cake for my wife which are very close in flavor to Maryland crab cakes, I ordered the escargot which were sautéed and garlic wine, butter sauce and placed on toasted French bread both were excellent. For our entree my wife ordered the specialty trout dish with mash potatoes and vegetables. I ordered KC style Ribeye on bone mash potatoes and vegetables. They both blew us away with flavor and both will melt in your mouth. We both love the restaurant it made us feel so comfortable and very happy also so relaxing! We love this restaurant!!!!! On my last visit a week ago the server Chloe was delightful and her attention to small details was so refreshing. I feel like pictures are so important in a review (especially being professional photographers by trade), but I don't have any great photos to share. It was romantic & dimly lit, & we also just wanted to enjoy our meal. What started off as a last minute google find & calling for a reservation, turned into one of the most amazing & unique meals of our lives. We ordered the pork shank special & the ribeye. There aren't enough positive adjectives to describe our dinners, but in a slightly tipsy text to my mom after some wine, I used the word "transcendental". To find such quality & service in the middle of a cow pasture is a mystery to me, but I'm so glad places like this exist. Thank you Dagher & staff for a memorable evening. THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST MEALS I HAVE EVER EATEN!!! Dagher the owner, chef, host, entertainer was extraordinary! He was so funny going to every table and making everyone laugh. He had one big table that was a regular of his and they treated him like family and him the same. He sat with them and fit right in. He did it all. Incredible perfectly charred steak, with reduction sauce, garlic and butter sautéed greenbeans, carrots so sweet and tender and mash potatoes to bring it all together. I swear I will drive an hour and a half to go back there again. Our waitress Fionna was a breath of fresh air and such a perfect addition to our beautiful experience. She was so attentive and charming. I also had the best Malbec I have ever tasted. I mean I just can't give this restaurant enough stars nor quit talking about it. Our server was by far the rudest server we have ever encountered. Our meals were mediocre and steaks were raw when they came out. The were cold to the touch and our waiter said "I don't know what you want me to do about it I didn't cook it". This was extremely un called for. We just wanted our steaks cooked. What an amazing evening! I was part of a team of 12 visiting from out of town that went there for dinner on 10/26/22. As you enter the establishment, your first impression is that you are in a 100-year-old home or building or possibly an old funeral parlor. But please do not judge this restaurant by the cover. An absolutely wonderful staff that takes care of you like you are royalty, and the owner is very interactive with the guests to ensure they are happy and is quite a funny character!! AND the food was absolutely spectacular! Everybody's meal was prepared to perfection. Lots of laughs and great food had by all!! The staff if very attentive, and the owner even comes out to talk to tables. This place is very homey, everyone fits right in. You are sure to have a great time. Let me start by saying this is NOT fine dining by any means. My friend actually thought by the looks of the place, it may have been a funeral home at one time. Anyway, we had the filet special which came with a salad, mashed potatoes, and green beans and carrots. The salad was nothing special at all, the filet was delicious but way undercooked (despite asking them to put it back on), the mashed potatoes were fine, and the veggies needed a lot of work. The bread was delicious and the wine was good too. What was most off-putting (besides the ambiance) was the owner's inappropriate comments and attempts at a conversation with us. He was so inappropriate we were actually shocked at his blatant and gross attempts at flirting throughout the end of our dinner. Based on other reviews, we are not the only people he's acted this way with. I think he honestly means well but has not clue how inappropriate he is. read more
