Chad had it all. We went to Pine Mountain to ride motorcycles and looked up places to go. I went inside and was greeted by the sweetest woman at the register. I saw hamburger steak and gravy on the menu and knew it was a hit. I went with that and the food was amazing. I'll never go get dinner from anyone else. Chad is my guy for life. read more

Excellent small town, southern meat and three with great food and prices. I got the poppyseed chicken casserole, salad, and pink lemonade. The casserole was fresh out of Thanksgiving - creamy, dense, and delicious. The most homemade taste you can get coming from a restaurant. Fresh salad and refreshing pink lemonade to add to it. The food is fine. That's it. I know people talk about how great it is, but I think a lot of that is because of how few choices there are in the area. At most it's above average. Nothing has much in the way of seasoning. Not even salt and pepper. I'm not saying it's bad. It's just not the life changing experience so many people seem to feel it is. read more

Great food, friendly service. They had the best spicy boiled peanuts I've ever had, and I've had plenty! Good frozen meals in a pinch, though they sit heavy on your stomach they taste great like grandmas home cooking. I'm just in town visiting the FDR Little White House and was looking for some good local southern food. Well you sure can't miss this beautiful place that got my attention and knew the food would be great to. My wife and I had the delight of visiting Chad's today while in the area on a weekend getaway. I had the fried green tomato / pimento cheese sandwich and my wife got the meat & three. We ate off each other's plates and I must say that Chad is a very gifted cook. By far, the best place we've eaten at in the area. If the staff are a reflection of the owner... this guy must be an honorable gentleman with a heart for people. Superb service, fantastic food, and quaint atmosphere. This place is the bomb! Southern comfort food. Giant portions. A dinner plate (less than $10) includes entree plus three sides and biscuits. Really enough for two meals/people. I had salmon croquettes and the daily sides were sweet potato soufflé, Lima beans, and dressing w gravy. YUMMY we also had fried chicken livers and cornmeal breaded catfish. The fried green tomatoes were okay but not best I have ever had. Banana pudding was definitely homemade. This place is only open for lunch and you stand in line to order. Takeout is available as well as tables inside and out. Limited parking but easy to park a black away and walk. read more

I am so glad this restaurant is not in my hometown! I would be in trouble. I got the chicken salad with fried green tomatoes. Both were excellent. My husband got Buffalo chicken tenders and slaw which were Also great, but the desserts alone are worth the trip. The 7 layer chocolate cake was the best I've ever had and the key lime cake was delicious as well. You can tell they are fresh. We really wanted to try the banana pudding, but evidently it is so good, they sold out the first hour they were open so we will definitely have to make another trip to try it. read more

We were visiting Callaway and went for a day trip to Warm Springs. We stopped in here for lunch. So happy we did. The fried green tomatoes were the BEST I've ever had. Crispy, crunchy, tasty. My dad and I ordered the chicken and wild rice casserole which was DELICIOUS. The kids chicken tenders was good too. My toddler enjoyed it. My mom enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich. Love how the meals came with a nice salad. The staff were so warm and explained how their menu works. I wish we were in the area more often. Love that you can get meals to go and premade ones too. Great option if visiting for the holidays with family. We got a piece of the strawberry cake and it was yummy. Anytime we come back to the area we will definitely be stopping here for a filling and scrumptious meal. read more

I had the cold plate with pimento cheese and chicken salad, my husband had the Taco Salad. It was very good. Very friendly service and quick to order. We ate outside on the porch , it had a cool breeze. Indoor seating is available. Very good southern food. We will be back. read more

My coworker and I heard about this place from a friend, we've never been here. The staff could not have been more friendly. They explained the menu to us and let us try samples of several things! We both ordered the fried green tomato and pimento cheese sandwich. You could easily share the sandwich and it was FANTASTIC. Wow. They have dinner meals. They looked fantastic. In this tiny town, people were lined up out the door, I would guess a dozen people in line most of the time we were here. They have a variety of frozen meals to go. We will be back. read more

Love this cozy mom and pop place. The food is as good as a home cooked meal. I wish I lived closer so I could pick up the frozen meals to go and a cake. What a lovely seemingly hometown business! Very authentic and tasty southern food. The pimento/fried tomato sandwich, banana pudding, and key lime pie (all things I tasted) were wonderful. I brought a group of ladies on a girls' weekend, and this was by far the best food we had all weekend. Such sweet staff. Loved the hometown feel with yummy food at a reasonable price. Keep it up!! The people were really in some kind of hurray the day I visited. I was eating in and they gave me my meal to go, then just wanted to dump it out on the table in the box and to go boxes. I ordered a beef tips stroganoff but I couldn't see any beef. Perhaps due to the later lunch hour it had disintegrated to make a mush of well, of over cooked egg noodles. It looked awful, smelled worst. I ask for refund, paid for a small slice of cake and left. read more

Good chicken salad on a croissant with fruit salad and potato chips on the side. But the best deal is the meat and three specials at $6.95. They offered three meat choices: roast chicken, salmon croquettes, or fried chicken livers. Sides were cornbread dressing, turnip greens, and fried green tomatoes. Home cooking! read more
