Rueben Sandwich with Fried Green Beans
    Nancy G.

We visited today for Lunch/Dinner. Did not disappoint! The food was amazing and delicious, I had the salmon with Broccoli. My husband had the delicious Reubun! Of course our server was friendly and prompt it's the perfect place to go and spend as much time as you like enjoying this lil gem

Reuben sandwich that comes with a side. I chose fried pickles

The best Reuben sandwich I've ever had. There was so much meat on it. I had fried pickles as my side and they were delicious. Definitely enough for another meal. Our waitress, Georgia was very attentive always kept our glasses full and always had a smile on her face.

Extra stop on the way home to see atmosphere and offerings. Such great service. Drinks are top notch. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy. We did not get food this time but in looking at menu and other's plates, we will be back!

Great food, large portions and cool atmosphere! Their appetizers are the size of entrees!

It's a casual place perfect for casual or date night. My husband and I dined here for dinner. We tried rib eye with mashed potato, honey black jack burger with sweet potato fries, and their peanut butter pie for dessert. Everything was excellent. Server was super friendly and kind. We enjoyed our time.

Came here after a morning of exploring the area. Was busy when we arrived around 1:30, but we wanted to try it. So glad we did. It's cozy in the bar/dining room, and we wanted to sit on the covered porch but it was full with a special event. We saw a lot of interactions between staff and what might be locals/regulars, which is nice. We each tried something different (I didn't get photos of it all): Chicken salad on a bed of greens, side of seafood stew Reuben with fries Patty Melt with onion rings Greek burger with fries All of it was generous portions, and delicious. I would recommend any of it, but you might want to split an entree if you're in the mood for dessert (we had zero room for that but they sounded good). The salad dressing is house made, and we were glad to find a fun local place for a good burger. Apparently the weekly burger specials are worth the trip to Pine Mountain- I know I plan to return.

Love this place, we always look forward to eating here. Generous portions, always well prepared with great presentation. Definitely a favorite spot because it is consistently good!

Please do not part-take in this restaurant!! They are rude and only out for the money. They say they do not take reservations, yet they have reserved tables. We have been here for 11/2 hours and still can not get a table! And there are available tables!! Please find a nicer owner and staff to give your money too. We love to help the locals, but only those who understand how a business is run!

When I search reviews on a business before going, I don't just accept them at face value, but rather, read them and determine if the reviewers are just entitled brats. lol Now that being said: here we go... ha ha This place was the worst experience I can recall with a business in nearly 50 years of life. It was very cold outside, and looking at the online pics looked like it was open-air seating only. So I called them to ensure there was also indoor seating at this cool looking bar. It was 8pm. The man reassured us there were indoor seating options. He then asked "are ya'll coming tonight?" I replied that we were. He then said "how long?" I then asked what time they closed. He replied at 10pm. A little perplexed, I let him know we were on the way. Red flag #1. I told my husband I didn't want to feel rushed out the door if they were trying to close early and didn't really get the vibe they wanted our business. He suggested we just give them a try anyway. When we pulled up, we noticed maybe 3 cars in the parking lot of this very big property. Red flag #2. As we entered the hotel, the gentleman asked us if we called about the bar. We said yes and he directed us to the entrance doors. The entrance was essentially the exit... to the outdoors. HAHA It was approx 40 degrees outside. As my husband and I looked a little perplexed, a female approached where we were standing, never even looked at us or acknowledged us in ANY way and said to the gentleman, "WHAT DO THEY WANT?" He informed her we were there for the bar. We asked where the indoor seating was. Y'ALL... this man took us back in the hotel lobby and pointed at the lobby area. You want us to eat a late dinner and have drinks at this cool looking bar, but in actuality we sit where patrons eat their continental breakfast and are served by someone who has all but said "why are you here?" What?? So... my husband and I said no thank you and went to Cowboy Town which is a very short drive away. Please go there instead. Great food and drinks with a super cool small town vibe, live music, and barrel racing most weekends. Maybe when the weather is warm and the pool is open, The View would be a cool establishment. But it needs to be seasonal only and absolutely closed the remainder of the year. Bless it. I do believe the reviews you see are mostly BS. Please pay very close attention to the details of them.

Sara asked if I wanted it in a chilled glass and I'm so glad I said yes. It was so cold and tasty. To eat, my fiancé and I shared several things and ate every bite: Caesar salad, tortilla chips with beer cheese dip, margherita flatbread, and Mediterranean flatbread. The Caesar was decent--nothing to write home about, but it got the job done. The beer cheese dip with the chips was super yummy, especially paired with the beer I was drinking. Both flatbreads were pretty good! We both favored the Mediterranean! If you're looking for casual bar dining in Pine Mountain, GA, this is your place! Lots of activities!

The menu had more drink options than actual food options. It was very chicken, burger, and salad heavy so not too much variation. Literally your choices were either a burger or a sandwich. It is in the building with the golf shop right next to the place where you start your golfing adventure. It is just to the west of Mr Cason's Garden. This location is where you pick them up and return them so we decided to get a bite to eat. That is how we found Champion's Grille. It was a little space next to the pro shop. There are a few tables inside and some outside. The one person manning the counter was very nice. The menu is pretty basic but they have the essentials of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wings, wraps, burgers, fries and drinks. We ordered and got our burger and french fries very quickly. The burger was good although I was not a fan of the fries. The sandwiches and burgers were $15-$20 so it is a little more expensive than local but it was good. Overall, it is a nice place to get a bite in the middle of the gardens or before or after your golf game. Enjoy.

I started off with the Moon Over Madagascar, and let me tell you--if this drink had a fan club, I'd be president. The black tea and vanilla combo sounded like a weird dare at first, but it ended up being shockingly amazing. Whoever came up with that mix deserves a bonus and maybe a parade. Now, let's talk about the shrimp and grits, because these were not just "good." These were "call your mama and tell her you've tasted greatness" good. The chef is from South Carolina, and you can taste every bit of Lowcountry pride in that bowl. Perfectly cooked grits? Check. Pile of blackened shrimp? Double check. A sauce that made me rethink my entire life? Oh yeah. If they sold that sauce by the gallon, I'd be bankrupt but extremely happy. Erica, our waitress, was an absolute rockstar. Super helpful, incredibly informative, and somehow managed to keep the perfect balance of friendly and professional--even on the Sunday after the Iron Bowl, when half of Auburn is stress-eating. The place was spotless too, which is impressive considering the emotional damage that game causes every year. Bottom line: The Hound is a must-visit. Come hungry, order boldly, and thank me later.
