Not sure if this is bar associated with the Aiden Best Western. it does look like it. when I find out for sure I will give you my 1,000 reasons not to go there, hold a event there or be in any bit of a business arrangement with them. very unprofessional staff. bar either over charges or staff is ripping owner off
First staff at event dressed inappropriatel, tank top and short jean shirts. We were a jacketed wedding event. Bartender that served up under the pavilion at event had her boyfriend sitting with her the entire time. She was marking drinks down as she was pouring them, although the agreement between the bar owner and my daughter, the bride where we were paying by the bottle at two hours into the reception, they said we had gone through $3000 worth of liquor and they shut the bars down in the middle of my daughters wedding reception. Telling guest they had to pay that we had hit our limit, extremely embarrassing why they didn't reach out to one of, the mother or father of the bride is beyond me. At that point held me hostage as I had to give them a credit card for them to be able to continue bar services. I asked numerous times to see the bottles they had already poured, the empty bottles. They explained that they were in the dumpster. I offered to go to the dumpster with them and pull them out, and they all would just look at each other . Go back to my credit card and rang $2560 worth of drinks on it yet never gave me a list of what the drinks were and how much they charged per drink. The next morning, after hearing stories when the bar shut down, they saw them wheeling half used bottles and full bottles back into an employee only area. We began to snoop around the mother of the groom, did liquor back in the kitchen area that was up at our wedding that wasn't even used. Again remember, we were paying by the bottle and only had four brands of liquors we were using not by the drink, then proceeded out to the dumpster which had not been dumped. It was an early Sunday morning and only found three empty bottles, one of which was crown Royal that we did not serve up under the gazebo where the bartender was we did three bottles and that was it for the
Night. So $3000 for 5 bottles of liquor. I used to bartend and manage a bar and I've done the numbers. There is no way we could've drank what they are saying we drank. Check IDs, so I don't know whether they were serving to minors or not professionalism from the bartenders was atrocious. The one bartender at the bar became much friendlier after I started to talk to her, but still would not agree to go get the bottles out of the dumpster.
The owner of the hotel to ask her for the number because apparently this bar is run separate from the hotel. All I wanted was his phone number so that he could prove the bottles being empty to me and discuss this with him. No one from the hotel will answer my text messages or phone calls, do they know we will have an attorney onto this and the state liquor board will be called on this establishment also. It's a shame. It's such a beautiful time of a wedding and it's such a beautiful venue that they take advantage.
