So very nice to have such a quality venue on the south side of town. Having been an event planner for many years, I know what to look (or look out for) in a venue. I assisted my friend with her daughter's wedding at Alexander House last weekend. Aaron and Sheena were very flexible and professional. My friends were at ease with the process from the very beginning of the planning, thanks to Aaron's calming demeanor. Everything was delivered as promised...with a smile. The hard-working staff never stopped smiling and were very professional and easy to work with. This is not a cookie cutter, you must do it our way venue. Very refreshing for south of I-285! The facility is very clean and well organized. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The food was very good for a wedding buffet and there was plenty. They have a rustic charm that is very appealing to a Bride, or any client. I understand that they host many types of events and also cater all over the city, under The Grand Gourmet. One in my group ordered nachos with specific request and it took over 2 hrs and a visit by the manager- Enrique ( which was another absolute mess). When the nachos came out , after 2 hours ... the order was still incorrect and this was after reordering with the manager. Now back to the manager- Enrique, the gentleman lacks professionalism, courtesy and obviously intelligence. Instead of coming out and apologizing he decided to be rude and out of order. If this is acceptable , this club is closing soon. Other than that food was actually decent but pretty much trumped by the service and lack of professionalism by the club manager

Space was perfect, cleanliness was there. The helpers for serving and set up were amazing individuals all show they care about the job they were doing. Jessica, the manager was easy to work with. She wants to see your vision come to life and does what it takes to make it happen. It was an incredible afternoon, a great experience, and everyone that was part of it was very impressed. Parking: Parking is available in front of the building (limited) and down the street as well. They do not have a parking garage or designated parking area for this center. Exterior: The exterior is well maintained by the city of Stockbridge. There is a railroad track directly across the street from the center. Interior: Upon entering the two double doors the floor plan is pretty open. There are two sets of restrooms with approximately 3 stalls per restroom. There is a storage and a janitor closet. This beautiful Victorian style house is known to have been deeded to a descendant of Robert E. Lee in 1913 who was also one of the first Mayors of Stockbridge. Following him, one of his son's owned the home who also was one of Stockbridge's Mayors. This house stayed in the Lee family until Mrs. Mildred Lee passed away 1994. Charles and Lynda Dubbs, purchased the home in 1995. The house was in such poor condition when first purchased they immediately began an 18 month restoration of the home. They tried to retain as much of the original Victorian structure that they possibly could. In keeping with that intent, they furnished the house with graceful period antiques, beautiful chandeliers, original artwork, and lavish decorations. A 2,800 Sq. Ft. Ballroom with banquet buffet area was added in 2003. This Ballroom offers a large dance floor which gives this location room for up to 300 people totally inside the house and 400 using inside and outside decks and porches.
