This beautiful Victorian style house is known to have been deeded to a descendant of Robert E. Lee in 1913 who was also one of the first Mayors of Stockbridge. Following him, one of his son's owned the home who also was one of Stockbridge's Mayors. This house stayed in the Lee family until Mrs. Mildred Lee passed away 1994. Charles and Lynda Dubbs, purchased the home in 1995. The house was in such poor condition when first purchased they immediately began an 18 month restoration of the home. They tried to retain as much of the original Victorian structure that they possibly could. In keeping with that intent, they furnished the house with graceful period antiques, beautiful chandeliers, original artwork, and lavish decorations. A 2,800 Sq. Ft. Ballroom with banquet buffet area was added in 2003. This Ballroom offers a large dance floor which gives this location room for up to 300 people totally inside the house and 400 using inside and outside decks and porches. We contacted Affairs by Pinehurst Catering & Events and they were very accommodating. We were able to hold our event at their location and our guest were very impressed with the facility. We were concerned about finding a new location to hold our event, but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff at Pinehurst were very accommodating. thanks

She had gone to a similar painting event in the past and had a terrible experience, so I really had to push her to go this time. I was honestly shocked when she said, "I actually had fun." That alone made the night five stars for me. The artist was incredibly kind, sweet, and personable. While I do wish she had spent a little more time demonstrating brush techniques and offering help to beginners, she created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The music was a bit loud, but it added to the lively vibe. We also made candles during our visit -- a total five-star process. The instructions were clear, the scents were so fun to explore, and it felt like a creative, sensory adventure. Some of the candle label stickers were unavailable, which was a little disappointing, but probably beyond the business's control. This small business is absolutely worth supporting. You can feel how much love, creativity, and heart fills the space. As a nurse, I especially appreciated the painting on the wall honoring healthcare workers -- such a thoughtful touch. Best part? My mom actually wants to come back. And that means everything.
