So the place is good and the beer was a little above average, but my real problem comes with the service. My wife and I go up to the front counter to order some beer and my wife has some questions. My wife asked if a particular beer was more like an Octoberfest or like a Marzen, to which the girl replied, "yes". Huh??? These two very pretty girls who were obviously placed there because they were simply pretty, yet did not know anything about their beer at all. We then proceeded to ask what beer was more of a New englandee hazy style, to which they just were reading off any IPA that was on the menu. After our conversations with them, it was clear that they were hired for their looks and not for their knowledge of the product that they sell. They just kind of stood there as well instead of being welcoming and making us feel like they were happy to see us. It's those things that really make or break our interest in a brewery. Again the beer was good, although not anything standing out, yet it's not always the quality of the beer as much as the entire experience and the service of the staff and the knowledge and so forth that can make an overall five star experience. read more

Came here during off hours- weekend afternoon- so the place was fairly slow. Service was good, and food was decent (from their partners). Beers were decent, though they were out of many and only had 7 of their own beers on tap. Standouts are their basics- the pils, gose, and hazy IPA (helping hand) were their best beers. Great spot for good beer, I am not a beer drinker at all, but the cashier suggested a cider beer that I end up loving which surprised me. There is a nice big tv at Brick West if you want to watch sports and there are also games to play like Jenga and other options. There is also food options we order tacos and nachos which were good and a good choice if your not sure what to try. I would say Brick West Brewing is the perfect place if your looking to hangout with friends or go on a simple date, its not to loud so you can talk and will be able to hear fine. read more

Huge outdoor space with grass and tables. I think there needs to be a bit more shaded options though to make it enjoyable for summer. We were there at 5pm and it was still really hot. We snagged a shaded seat for our beer and food. The beers were really good and had options for everyone. You had to order beer at the bar, so sometimes the wait was long. They have some food options but you can also order from the Watts nextdoor for a larger menu. Dog friendly and right near the downtown dog park. read more

If you're looking for a sports bar brewery this is your place. The food we ordered was very good, but virtually NO vegetarian options. Even the salads and MacNCheese come with bacon. I always enjoy checking out this brewery when I visit Spokane. The beer is always great, especially the hazy IPAs, but I also appreciate that they offer mixed drinks, seltzers, and wine. Everyone can find a beverage of their choice. The outdoor seating is great on a nice sunny day. The kiddos can play on the lawn (adults can bring games too like spike ball). Service is great. I tried the Gose and it is good. A cool looking place that will have awesome outdoor space in the summer. Mid winter, the building is a bit cold and industrial feeling. Lots of staff busy with stuff but it took 3 employees walking by before anyone offered to serve us. Flights are expensive! I paid $13 for a 5-beer board. I only finished 2 of them. The stouts were not good. I enjoyed an entire 4-beer flight in Republic, WA, for only $6. This is a great place to enjoy a beer with friends or while "working from home". The best part is the staff. They remember my name and styles I like. They can even predict when to bring the next one, when to switch it up, and when its a water (mostly) day so I can get things done from home. The beer is just as great. They are unique, great tasting, that still fit perfectly into the style (i.e. lager, pilsner, etc.). I'll admit, when I came here to write this review...I was shock by the comments about the staff until I read them. BWB success is attracting more and more high-maintenance, neophytes who like attention. I don't know if I witnessed Princess "Bethany W." performance specifically (review below), but every evening you will run into someone who almost takes pride in her or his ability to tie up the line and inconvenience every other patron in the establishment. Trust me...I've coax laughter out of the servers to make sure their spirits stay up after situations like this. Bethany's review is her attempt to justify bad behavior by placing it on the staff...just me...its not the staff. As far as Ashley C (again see below), I am guessing the same thing. When I worked behind the bar 20 years ago, I took pride in refusing tips from people I never wanted to serve again. This just goes to show that the BWB team has more class than I...they found a way to refuse tips without being an ass about it...don't give the person the chance to tip. (and if the server really did tip themselves...tell BWB...they will fix the problem...but I don't thing that's really what happened). PS...their tip % are lower than I tip so they are saving me money! Just try it for yourself. I'm shooting myself in the foot cause I'll just end up running into more Bethany's and Ashley's over there...but BWB and Spokane deserve it an so I'm willing to put up with it. read more

Very Impressed! Downtown Spokane has become quite the spot for great venues Brick West being the newest. Brick West is helping the Brewery District and others have brought new life to our Neighborhood. Brick West is surrounded by some great places in short walking distance also. What's to complain about? I ate more hot dogs that Joey Chestnut at Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Competition. The best hangout spot especially in the summer when the patio is open. The open floor plan makes the space feel welcoming and begs you to stay a while with multiple screens throughout the brewery to watch the game and large communal tables for parties big or small. I'm not a huge beer person but my friends who are love the selection and there's always a cider on tap for me! I love hanging out at Brick West to get some easier work done too if I want to get out of the house for a bit. I'm told the food is mediocre but I've only been for the drinks and fun vibes and can't say I've tried their food. read more

I honestly never post bad reviews but I've tried this place twice now and it's worthy of a bad review. It's nice that they have outdoor seating and the building is gorgeous, but the food/service is absolutely horrible. I have never had nachos messed up but they managed to do it, and the service is worse. The first time I went it was younger bitchy men which can be par for the course with a brewery but the second time it was one woman all by herself with a giant crowd so it took forever and she was definitely overworked/crabby . The drinks were just drinks so aside from having outdoor seating I don't recommend it unless you want slow grumpy service and really gross food. Apparently she was annoyed by my asking multiple questions about what size pours they offered. This just shows lack of maturity, professionalism and appreciation for the craft & business. The beer may have been fine, but was totally unenjoyable and I left most of it on the table and walked out due to experience with the staff. I wouldn't feel comfortable returning, and hope the owners take these reviews seriously and make changes. Way too expensive. Went there for lunch. $10.00 for a sausage and a bag of chips. The beer was good but not worth $7.00 a pint.
