BUFFALO CHICKEN PIZZA with chicken bones!
    Corey B.

Visited on a Sunday , day after the fourth. Pretty slow, was told it would be about 20 minutes. (Would receive a text when ready) came back 30 minutes later to pizza sitting there. Heat wave was ok, asked to sub meatballs for pepperoni (was an up charge of 4.00) Buffalo pizza was extremely underwhelming, upon taking the second piece of box. Our party saw a deboned chicken wing baked into the pizza. Would not return plenty of other great options in the area.

My sister and I were meeting for lunch and picked this spot. She had a chicken salad sandwich with a side greens salad and I had a salad with goat cheese, beets and butternut squash. We both enjoyed our meals. I found it a tad pricy for my salad and avoided adding a protein as that would have really upped the cost. It's a great interior of beans and bricks but it was cold, like they had the heat off.

Walking into Brick Pizza Co., a former industrial space with towering stone walls and wooden beams overhead, it doesn't whisper to you about its past, it shouts it, proudly. This isn't just adaptive reuse; it's resurrection with a purpose. We sat at our table, sunlight pourimg through tall windows that once lit up the hands of laborers, now brightening the faces of customers. The garage doors at both ends open up, erasing the boundary between inside and out, making the warm, salty Bristol air as much an ingredient as anything coming from the kitchen. The four meatballs came first. No breadcrumbs here. These are unapologeticly all meat, with just enough spice to get your attention. Pan-fried. The sauce tastes like someone's mom might have had a hand in it rather than a corporate chef. They are bright, herbaceous, present. A cloud of ricotta melts slowly under everything. It's a simple appetizer done right, which is sometimes harder than it sounds. Then the pizza arrives, the real litmus test. The crust has the marks of Neapolitan tradition, leopard spots of char that come from serious heat. The back crust is beautifully developed, airy and substantial. There's a hint of semolina that adds a bit of texture and nutty flavor that lingers after each bite. But here's the issue - the center is so thin it immediately fails under the weight of its burden. And what a burden it is. The cheese isn't just generous; it borders on excessive. The sauce, which showed real promise with the meatballs, becomes a footnote, barely detectable beneath the dairy avalanche. Cup-and-char pepperoni curls into perfect little grease holders, but even their salty punch struggles against the cheese. It's as if two different philosophies are at war on the same plate. The crust wants to be Italian - light, dignified, eaten with cutlery. The toppings are bold, excessive, demanding to be folded and by hand or become evacuated. The result is a structural compromise - a pizza that can't bear the weight of its own ambition. And at 12 inches across, you'll need to order a couple for a group with any appetite. But the atmosphere, with the soaring ceilings, the brick and stone, the way the light changes as afternoon adjusts to evening - makes up for all of it. Service moves at a relaxed pace. Not rushed, not slow, but deliberate. Like they want you to stay awhile, which, given the setting, isn't a bad proposition at all. What's happening at Brick is part of a familiar narrative, where abandoned industrial spaces now find new purpose, and simple foods become elevated through attention to detail. They don't hit every mark, but there's something really cool in their attempt. If you find yourself in Bristol, Brick is worth your time. Go for the setting as much as the food. Don't skip the meatballs. And when the pizza arrives, enjoy it for what it is, imperfect but sincere, served in a place that honors its past while working on its future.

Came in for dinner and was seated quickly. Nice open room with plenty of seats yet still spaced out. Our waitress Brooke was super nice and attentive. Food was delicious- especially the bolognese! Definitely stop by for some good Italian food. :)

Couldn't stay away for too long so had to go back here this past weekend. I ordered some of the same things as last time but also tried some new and everything was delish. We also didn't have a reservation but regardless of how busy they were we were able to get seated within 10 minutes of waiting. Cesar salad- again, probably one of the best I have ever had. I LOVEEEE how large the lettuce is and it's so crispy and fresh. (10/10) Pepperoni pizza- sounds so simple but the pepperoni flavoring on this was so good. This is the type of pizza that you can eat cold a day later and it tastes even better. (9/10) Gnocchi a la vodka- this pasta was literally insane. it wasn't too filling so I literally felt like I could eat the entire bowl. It was so addicting. The only part I didn't love was the tiny bits of asparagus, felt like it was kind of random. (9/10)

We loved trying the crab Rangoon pizza! Such a creative and yummy twist! Ngl, the seats weren't as comfy but it was a large, spacious and the service was decently fast.

Brick Pizza, I really want to love you -- and honestly, I kind of do, just not in the head-over-heels way I hoped. The space is beautiful, and the mill plaza really lends itself to a nice evening out. For a date night every now and then, it's a great spot. The pizza is good, but for me, the prices are a bit high for the quality of the pie, which makes it tough to justify a casual visit, or take out. Still, I'm glad you're around, and that Crab Rangoon pizza will still get you five stars. I'm grateful to have you around, Brick, and I will be back for that Rangoon pizza. Struck gold there. A couple of suggestions, and this is just one person's opinion, but the red sauce could use a little something. Also, the meatball appetizer could be improved, or the price decreased in my opinion. Thanks again, we'll be back. With love, Neil

Wow!! Great all around! I had never been here before but came with a few friends after work for drinks. Passion fruit martini?? I HIGHLY recommend it. It was so good, I had two! We all opted for pizza, I got the ricotta with mushrooms (I don't remember the actual name of the pizza) and it was delicious. We also got a veggie pizza and a Margherita pizza, and both were delicious. The service was very good, very solicitous. I loved the ease of paying the bill - quick and efficient! When we first got in, there weren't a lot of people. We sat at a high top near the bar and it was great with the big tv screens on - great for watching the Olympics games! By the time we left it was definitely louder, but not like we were yelling to talk. Overall it was a great experience and I'll definitely be back!!

Same by myself and sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon. Service was quick and attentive. I ordered a cocktail and the Figgy Piggy pizza. The drink was refreshing and the pizza was incredible. Would definitely recommend!!

Not your regular pepperoni - thick cut Rosa Grande pepperoni!

We were introduced to Brick Pizza Co. through RI Food Fights #BestPizzaRI challenge. It is a large restaurant with private event space in a historic building in Bristol. We went at a weird time on a Sunday afternoon during a Patriots game so the restaurant was not very busy. Because we were using our Food Fights coupons, we were given the option of cheese or pepperoni. We both selected pepperoni. WOW! This pizza was perfect with its pillowy crust & super thick cut Rosa Grande pepperoni. I am a very picky crust eater so I may eat some of the crust on my first piece of pizza but I rarely eat the crust on additional pieces. I ATE ALL THE CRUST!!! It was soft, warm, yummi - kinda like a bread stick - but the pizza itself held up under all the delicious cheese & pepperoni yumminess! We would totally be regulars if we lived in the area.

Everyone who works there is friendly and inviting, and even gave us a cute little amuse to start the night and the buckwheat shortbread to end. Here's everything we ordered: Agnolotti stuffed with tofu ricotta, with English peas, bacon, and a savory broth (my entree, I loved this - the broth was quite salty but the peas added a lovely freshness) Fazzoletti e funghi: local blue oyster mushrooms in a white wine cream sauce ‍ (my Mom's entree, also delicious and so umami) "Ivy rose" mocktail with grapefruit, prickly pear, and limeade (delightful!) Appetizers: fried squash blossoms stuffed with tofu ricotta in pomodoro sauce, and housemade focaccia with a trio of whipped butters (thyme and shallot, Calabrian chili, and smoked sweet onion). The ratio of butter to focaccia was more than double what we could use (we ordered more focaccia to spread it on!) but both of these apps were perfect. Foglia burger: house burger patty, tomato jam, garlic aioli, lettuce, onions, pickles, onion ring, housemade focaccia, and spicy agave parsnip fries (my dad's entree and to my delight he really enjoyed it!) Dessert: a gigantic slice of tiramisu (my favorite cake!). This was a huge slab, enough to share and have some leftover for breakfast. A little on the dry side for tiramisu but still really nice. Foglia is such a gem and we had a great time in Bristol, it's a beautiful town. The restaurant is small and cozy but was not too busy when we went. I highly recommend Foglia for a special occasion!

The first thing they…read morebrought was almost comical: a nickel-sized square of focaccia with a bit of jam and cheese. I have never in my life been served what I'd consider half a bite of food. I'd almost rather they bring nothing at all than a comically small piece of bread. My food (basil pesto pasta) was good but the quantities are quite small, especially for the price. TLDR: Don't come hungry or on a budget. The real reason for the low rating was the $34 mushroom entree. "Potatoes" here just means two bites of potato, which is kind of crazy considering how cheap potatoes are. "Carrots" meant 4 (kind of sad) carrots, and the mushroom (the main part of the dish) was so small it was comical. My dad was disappointed (he also wanted to love it here) and when they asked how it was, he gave his honest feedback. The waitress took the info back and he repeated his thoughts to the manager about the disappointing portion. He said he only got like two bites of potato and she said "oh they weren't in pyramids?" (Like that resolves the quantity of food?) He repeated again that it was about the quantity and was told "No one has said that about this." I suppose people must only have thought it... Felt really dismissive to say to someone, especially because this plate was apparently new (they said today was the first day they had it). They didn't comp anything or even discount it after the manager came over, which I feel like is standard practice when folks are unhappy with their meal. Felt like she just wanted to shut down the complaint rather than resolve it. They brought us, at the end of the meal, a "thank you" which was 2 lemon candies... there were 3 of us (not that we really wanted them anyway, but weird to not give at least one per person). The atmosphere is relaxed, the place is quite small in a sweet way and it's tucked away from the street, but I will never return. Ridiculous pricing for tiny portions. It felt like a SNL skit.

When we first showed up, it wasn't super busy, but the place was starting to get full, and we DID have to get a reservation to ensure that we weren't waiting/to make sure we were at our next spot on time. A fun little addition to this restaurant is that they also double as an ice cream shop which would have been the PERFECT dessert for me if I wasn't so full after my dinner. The indoor seating we were put in was a high top, but it was just enough room to seat 5 people comortably. I ordered the Bayview Burger paired truffle fries (chose to upgrade from normal fries), and it was the absolute most perfect choice! I also tried the Brussel Sprouts, but I would say if you like them crispy all the way through, these were not. I also had a fun mocktail with a dragonfruit (unfortunately can't find the name of the drink, but the picture is below) to pair with my food--I will say that while it was tasty, it was pretty sweet but was the perfect pair with my Bayview Burger, which was a bit on the saltier side. The only downside to our experience is that once it did start getting pretty busy in the restaurant, the service was much much slower (which is a given with how busy it was) and we had to ask a different waiter to help us get our check and head out. Other than that, it was a wonderful choice for dinner and I would recommend this restaurant anytime!

A side of sweet potato fries is $7 but I couldn't justify that either without knowing the size. I ended up just getting s'mores ice cream (which you can get at the ice cream shop down the steps or order from the table) and it was maybe the most expensive ice cream I've bought! It also took forever to the ice cream we ordered table side to come-- I think it would've been faster to just order it myself. The s'mores ice cream was SO GOOD THOUGH. Best s'mores ice cream i've had, albeit quite melted by the time it got to us. Our waitress was nice and I'm sure it was an overwhelming day to be working. There's not AC inside but I think people come to sit outside and by the water so maybe that's fine. Personally I love AC so I was a little disappointed by how hot it was inside. They played religious music inside which also irked me a little but it might've just been for the 4th? Probably wouldn't come back to Beach House but glad we got to try it. Might come back to the sugar shack for their sundaes, which are $3 more for 3 scoops.

My husband, friends, and I ventured across Narragansett Bay to Bristol for lunch. We weren't sure…read morewhere we would end up but we found this legendary saloon and decided to give it a try. Our server Sonny cheerfully greeted us, made food and drink recommendations, listened and catered to our allergies, and took our orders quickly and accurately. She went above and beyond to make sure my shellfish allergy could be accommodated by speaking with the kitchen staff and calling the owner. I was happy to hear that the smash burger and French fries were safe for my to eat, and they did not disappoint!!! I ordered a painkiller that was insanely reminiscent of the painkillers at The Soggy Dollar in the BVI. Highly recommend it! This place has many cool historical features that contribute to its charm. If you're in the area, check them out!

At first I really liked this place and probably would've left a five stars-- before I explain more,…read moreI do still think it's worth popping by for a casual bite. The burger I ordered (bacon cheeseburger with no bacon) was delicious. No complaints there and I will probably reorder. The only problem here was that I asked for sweet potato fries instead of regular fries, to which the waiter simply said okay. Turns out it was an undisclosed upcharge. Not only did he not tell me it would be $2.75 (or something like that) more, but the fries are listed as the same price online. When I told him that, he said that their online menu is really old (this is to say, don't look at it! and also, not sure why they wouldn't update it if they know it's incorrect). Sure enough, the printed menu also said nothing about an upcharge for a different fry, so ultimately I was able to remove the charge, but it was a little awkward and frustrating. My only other complaint is not particularly the fault of the restaurant, but I suppose just a side effect of the laidback vibes. A group of 7 or 8 people came in like 20 minutes after us and was so loud that I almost suggested we leave. My guess is they were drunk, but it was a Wednesday night around 6:00, so I wouldn't have expected that. They were so loud that I was yelling to my friend who was within arm's length. Totally changed the vibe and enjoyment for me.

The pasta alla vodka was delicious, and the kid's ravioli was a reasonable portion. Garlic bread was also quite good! I'll be back :)

Our drinks were never brought out, and after waiting over 40 minutes we had to ask for them ourselves. After waiting an hour for our food, we asked about the delay because multiple tables that arrived after us were already eating. We were simply told it would be coming soon, and that was the last interaction we had with our waitress. Another employee eventually brought our food. Throughout the entire meal, no one checked to see if we needed refills, condiments, or if everything was satisfactory. When we finished, our waitress never returned with the check, forcing us to find another staff member to help us. Meanwhile, she had plenty of time to socialize with other tables and even chat with friends outside the restaurant. I've eaten at many restaurants and can honestly say this was some of the worst service I've ever experienced. Good food can sometimes make up for a delay, but complete neglect and arrogance from the wait staff cannot. Unfortunately, this experience left us with no desire to return.
