A small booth in North Market in downtown Columbus that serves freshly made pretzels. They offer a nice array of styles and flavors. We tried the smaller pretzel twists as the standard pretzels are huge! My choice was a jalapeño cheddar which had good flavor and a nice chew on the dough. My gf had a cinnamon sugar twist and loved it. Give them a try and enjoy walking around the North Market.

I would recommend trying the pretzels at Brezel and definitely getting a dip to go with it. They were freshly made, popular, and delicious. We got a garlic butter dip to go with the pretzel which was amazing. We ordered a normal pretzel but they had many flavors. The staff were very nice and fast with the orders as they had a line whenever we went by the booth. You can easily eat the pretzel walking around or going upstairs to sit down and look below.

Bretzel is amazing! We can't to know their delicious pretzels and their unbelievable beer cheese when the original location of North High Brewing used to serve them before they had their own kitchen. Thank goodness we figured out where they came from before they stopped serving them because they are the best pretzels and the most amazing beer cheese we have ever had! The cheddar jalapeño pretzels are delicious and they were out so this time I tried the cheddar and chive. Omg it was good. My husband always goes for the regular. It's a classic. Did I mention the beer cheese is the best??! It's thick and garlicky and amazing!!

Stopped by the location when I was at North Market while visiting Columbus. The pretzels were tasty! They have a nice selection of flavors and offer full size pretzels and pretzel sticks. I tried a garlic parm and cheese pretzel and jalapeño cheese stick. Both were good! Parking at the market is cheap if you get your parking ticket validated. Don't forget to ask, if they don't offer, when checking out at a vendor.

I've been found guilty of em-Brezel-ment. I've been em-Brezel-ing pretzels, from here and other places. I admit it. I accept the punishment. Just don't take my pretzels away. You'll have to pry them out of my cold, hungry hands. This is a very interesting and slightly generic Pretzel place located inside the Short North Market, which is one of the heartbeats of Columbus and is a place you should head directly to when exploring the foods and culture of this great old Ohio city. So if you're interested in pretzels than this might be a good stop for you. On the other hand they're not cheap and they're nothing like the Amish pretzels in places like Maryland and Pennsylvania, try Miller's Twist in the Reading Terminal Market in Philly for true Pretzel Perfection, or Sadie Anne's in the Upper Marlboro Farmers Market near DC. But overall I think they do a good job. Barbie liked it although she wasn't obsessed.

Brezel offers a large variety of giant soft pretzels and smaller pretzel twists. They also offer numerous dips, so there are numerous delightful combos to be had. Everything in the case looked absolutely amazing, but we decided to start with a couple of pretzel twists, in plain and cheddar jalapeno. They were really tasty, with a nice texture, and the cheddar jalapeno had a nice little kick. We definitely want to try some more flavors in the future! It is conveniently located in the North Market. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

When I was exploring North Market and stumbled across Brezel, my inner fatty pretzel-lover screamed and rushed directly to their stand. All the pretzels are HUGE and so delicious looking. The original pretzel is $4.50, and I was eyeing the specialty pretzels, which cost $5 and include: 1) Cinnamon Sugar 2) Cherry Rosemary 3) Garlic Lovers & Parmesan 4) Roasted Garlic Onion and Cheddar 5) French Onion and Asiago 6) Spinach Asiago Oh my goodness, it was just SO HARD to choose one! They had the assorted pretzel twist sticks option, but I really wanted a whole pretzel. Because I love spinach, I decided to go for the Spinach Asiago. It was warm, savory, delicious pretzel heaven! Mmm-mmmmm!!!!!!! I walked around North Market simply enjoying munching into the pretzel, and I'm so happy that I got a taste of delicious Bavarian pretzel.

I found myself hungry and randomly at the North Market, just past the busy lunchtime rush. It was like Christmas! I had dozens of delicious options at the tip of my fingers and the only question was which one to pick. I decided that for a snack, I was going to finally try Brezel. I've walked by it countless of times in the past and it always looked and smelled so good! Those looks and smells were not deceiving! After checking out what they had, I decided I was going to experiment. Instead of selecting one large pretzel I opted to get three different pretzels sticks. They were only about a dollar fifty a piece and I got the chance to try three! I choose the original (salt), everything bagel, and the cheddar and jalapeño. All three of them where absolutely amazing! They were just the right amount of soft and chewy... perfectly golden on the outside and very flavorful. You could easily tell which pretzel stick was which. They sure know what they're doing! Out of the three I tried I would say that the everything bagel was my number one pick and the original with salt came in a close second. The staff was amazing, a young bearded gentleman to be specific. He helped me pick the ones I got and also gave me recommendations for other great spots in the North Market. I'll definitely be back and I'm pumped to try new flavors and even some of their dips. Gosh, I'm sitting here drooling right now. Thanks Brezel!

They have the best pretzels. You can watch them make them as they do daily. They have several different flavors and dipping sauces. They also always have several vegan options so I am never disappointed

    Fig, jalapeño and mozzarella twist

I stopped by here two Saturday mornings ago with my wife. We happened to be at the North Market wandering around whenever we saw Brezel. Since my wife loves pretzels and we hadn't eaten yet I figured that we should get some. Since it's a food stand in the market there isn't too much to saw about it other than they have a display window with their pretzels in it and little signs showing the flavors of each. They have both full sized pretzels as well as twists which is nice if you want to try one without having a whole pretzel. For our snack on this day my wife and I decided to go with a full sized Gouda and garlic and then a twist of the Fig, jalapeño and mozzarella. We started off with the fig, jalapeño and mozzarella. While the pretzel itself was nice with a crusty exterior and soft interior, the only flavor I could taste when eating it was the mozzarella. The heat from the jalapeño did show itself a bit of the finish but I never did get any fig which is a shame since that is why we bought it. After that we tried the full sized pretzel and much like the twist the pretzel itself was good. It was the Gouda which was great on this pretzel though as it had a smoky flavor which my wife and I absolutely loved. That means that the garlic took a bit of a backseat but it was still there and helped add to the pretzel. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. At $5 for their specialty pretzels, it's not a bad price and I really did enjoy the garlic and Gouda.

I love Germany and I love fresh pretzels, so was very excited to spot this Bavarian-style brezeleria (is that a word?) while stopping into North Market this past weekend. They have a great selection here but I felt that the pretzels were a little tough. I've had pretzels in Philadelphia and Munich, Germany (two places well known for pretzels) and by comparison the pretzels at this shop could have been a bit softer. I like that they offer $1 twists, if you want to try different flavors without having to buy a giant $4.50-5 pretzel. I tried the dark chocolate chunk with salt and the cinnamon sugar which were pretty good, but preferred the basic salted pretzel. You can add a dip for $1, and I was disappointed by the beer cheese, which was highly recommended. The flavor was great, but it was refrigerated and stiff. I was expecting something warm to dip my pretzel. When I visited they had a bunch of flavors: "everything" (just the like the bagel), jalapeno cheddar and others. Just like at Wetzel's Pretzels, you can watch them rolling and folding the fresh pretzel dough. I really want to come back but hope that they can make their pretzels softer!

When you walk in you pull a number and wait for it to be called. Almost felt like I had walked into the DMV. lol We peeked at the display counters while we waited and tried to have our orders ready when it was our turn to expedite the wait for those after us. There were a few shelves that displayed various cookies, breads and things you could grab and go. The place was clean and the process was orderly. They seemed to keep things in the front stocked. We probably waited about 15 minutes. I pulled number 90 and the were calling the last of the 60's. We ordered several items to try including the packzis with three different fillings since we went at the right time of year for these. We grabbed a cheese, strawberry and lemon. We also chose a cheese danish, maple cream stick, apple fritter, cherry turnover and a donut stick. Once we told them what we wanted the girl helping us went to the back and started filling our box. A few moments later she returned, we paid and headed out the door with our sweets. My husband didn't want to wait so we opened up the box once we got to the car and each took one bite from each of our selections. We didn't find anything wrong with our choices. The one thing I was thrown off by is how they make their apple fritters. I almost missed ordering one bc they look nothing like the apple fritters I'm used to eating. It was just ok in my book. Not something I would get again. The donut stick on the other hand is something I wouldn't miss next time. In fact I'd be getting more than one. It was probably my favorite item of all we selected. The cream stick dough was soft. The cream wasn't too sweet. The only thing I would have changed was to have the maple icing be a bit more maple flavored. The turnover was nice and crispy flakey but the filling was just ok. Maybe a different flavor next time if I would get one. How can you go wrong with a cheese danish? Warm this slightly and you're hitting a home run. This was a nice stop and we learned the difference between what we liked and loved. We know just what to get next time. I will say they have a great social media presence and do a phenomenal job interacting with their customers and community.

Offer the option of traditional no-filling Chocolate and Vanilla frosted Long John donuts. -- market data supports this and shows .... Based on: * Sampling of 100+ independent bakery hours across U.S. cities * Regional bakery association listings * Yelp/Google Business hour patterns * Known bakery business models A realistic, data‑grounded estimate is: Only about 10-15% of neighborhood bakeries open at 8:00 a.m. or later. Further market data shows... Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are extremely uncommon. Why unfilled Long Johns almost always remain on the menu * They serve the "less sweet" customer segment. * They pair well with coffee (important for morning sales). * They are cheaper to produce and have fewer failure points. * They are the "default bar donut" in many regions. Even bakeries that push filled varieties keep unfilled bars because they sell steadily and require no additional labor. --- Bottom-line conclusion Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are very rare -- probably under 5% of all bakeries. The overwhelming majority offer both, with filled varieties outnumbering unfilled but not replacing them.
