    Large Americano

No laptops required. This place is like the community coffee table at the local diner. It is the epitome of a ma and pa coffee house. On my first visit I talked with Joyce the owner for an hour. This coffee shop is about community first and coffee second. The coffee is good and the prices are great but this is not the place to come for the latest "gastro-coffee shop" drink. Usually my primary rating is based on the food and beverage. If I was basing it that way the americano I had was a 3 star Americano. Breaking my rules, this place is 5 star. If you are looking for a good conversation and better than average coffee, this is your place. I am glad I visited and the next time I am looking for the community coffee table experience, I will come back to Brew Ha Ha.

When it comes to coffee I'm picky because I want quality. This establishment definitely has quality complete with warmed pastries. I've visited this place many times, but when I moved from the area I had to try something new. Coming back is kind of like coming home with coffee that is still good gift the soul:

Love this little coffee shop! Such friendly service and made my daughter feel extra special giving her a small cookie with her hot chocolate! I will definitely be visiting again!

All around pleasant joint. The lady who runs it is an absolute sweetheart, the interior is cute (if you do opt to walk in rather than drive through). I had a piping hot, flaky crusted quiche that was packed with veggies and Swiss cheese and one of their flavored coffees. That's a real strength here - in addition to whatever hot or iced espresso drinks you'd want, they have about 7 flavored bean coffees you won't get at Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts - maple, blueberry, toasted coconut, etc. Flavors that add a bit of sweetness without loading you full of sugar crash first thing in the morning.

The "Cheer's" of coffee! Brew Ha Ha is what a coffee shop should be! The drinks are perfect and fresh. The owner remembers you after just one visit, and what you drink. It's a must visit. My wife and I drive up from Elkhart to enjoy it. I highly recommend you visit soon. You will definitely keep coming back.

Always good. Raspberry and white chocolate scones were lacking both. I always get tea. Takes a minute to make it but worth the wait.

We went with a party of 5 and there is only one table that fit us but luckily it was open. I would suggest going early because they sell out fast. It was very busy when we went but it was worth it. I really liked the Ube cookie and the sandwich I got. They warmed the sandwich but not the cookie (I also didn't ask them to). The Ube cookie had coconut in it and I'm not a coconut lover but it was subtle enough that I like it!! Coffee was great too!

Located next to Brasserie 23 and some nice apartments, the exterior of this café immediately gave off European café vibes. Inside, we were greeted by the staff and looked at the menu for a bit before ordering. About 5 minutes after ordering, we received our drinks and food from a few kind, fast, and professional baristas. There is free wifi and the two unisex bathrooms are clean. There is also a lot of places to sit and we saw a few students working on homework while sipping on their matcha lattes. The prices for everything is overall decent but still a little high. Bakery goods are priced well while the drinks are maybe a dollar too expensive. They only use locally sourced whole milk in their drinks as well, just an FYI. All around the cafe are various things for sale, like local coffee beans, glass jars of that whole milk, and yummy loaves of sourdough and foccacia bread. I am from out of town so I didn't buy any bread or milk but I wish I could have! As for the food, everything was indulgent and delicious! We ordered a lot. I got a cinnamon churro latte with GORGEOUS sky design art. The taste was pretty basic - Like a cinnamon hot chocolate. Very milk forward. My bf got a chai latte. This had strong flavor. I should get a different drink next time as I only like to pay $7 for drinks that are unique! My bad! So after we each had an indulgent caffeine drink, we then had a breakfast sandwich. I got the turkey/bacon and my bf got the sausage one. Bacon was good and slightly fatty and the bun/brioche bread was really poofy! After an hour or so of conversation with my bf's family and friends, we then shared an almond fragipange cookie (thiccc and moist) and a blueberry coffee cake slice. Both were great! We had the coffee cake at his home and enjoyed the cookie at the cafe. The cookie was just like the cookies from the famous Levain cookie chain. These are the kind of cookies you can only have infrequently because they are so high calories, but boy, they are delish! I already followed Caffe Capriccio on Instagram so I can keep track of limited time drinks and desserts! I'll be moving to this area next year to be with my boyfriend and am happy to say that we will definitely be back!

I believe the workers work for tips, at least Ja'Lila does who served us. During our hour there we observed a mix of folks coming in. Some were obviously regulars chatting it up with Ja'Lila while they sipped their drink. Another couple on a road trip stopped in on their way to the east coast for some coffees and to use the WiFi. Some were in and out. Steady flow. Everyone treated with respect and dignity whether you made a donation or not. Donations are pay what you want. I'm not a coffee drinker but my sister said it's good! I got hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is homemade and I got fresh whipped cream which was also homemade. Delicious! Can you get that at Starbucks? Just asking I wouldn't know. I no longer lived in South Bend but if I did this would be my new spot. My sister does however and she's already been back before I had a chance to post my review. If you're a local and you remember the old VanBuren grocery store this is the spot! Unless it's busy the coffee sets and you can taste it. If I had to guess I would say they do not have a water filtration system that takes away the "added flavor" of city water. We have been wanting to tip them every day for the last 2 years I've lived here. We were very disappointed to find out that the employees would no longer be receiving the tips directly. From what I've seen + heard, this location pays comparably to a corporate starbucks but does not even offer the employees free drinks. The week they had the tip jar it was stashed full because this community values their hard work, great attitudes + skill. I've seen these ladies cut down a line in minutes, every drink correct and completed quickly. Shame on Spartan Nash for not allowing the employees to directly be tipped for their hard work like every other coffee shop. I hope this decision can be repealed, and quickly especially in these times- where excellent employees are hard to come by. With Love -Ana Marie
