stopped in today before my first meeting here in town and was so surprised. The shop looks small from the outside and even when you first walk in but there is a huge room in back with lots of working spaces. it was really busy at 11:00 on a Tuesday. Staff was really friendly and they offer a huge selection of drinks. Grabbed a Cappuccino and had the cutest bunny foam art on top. Espresso was really smooth and had a slight sweet taste making the drink very enjoyable. I will make sure I stop back by before heading out of town. read more

Staff is super nice. Like really kind. Got a super coffee shop vibe. The chicken pesto sandwich is really good. Get it if you come for lunch. Now, a coffee shop ought to have coffee, but often then don't and instead sell an Americano. Not the same thing guys. And 2 out of 3 times this is my option. I was visiting the area because I have family there. I wanted a coffee and I heard they had good sandwiches so I figured the name was cute, the photos were cute, so why not. Now parking.. not sure where I should park, but maybe it's behind the shop or possibly it's best to park on the street by the houses, who's to say lol. So after I figured out parking, my first experience was great. Service was nice. They didn't take too long and the pastries, coffee and sandwiches were so good I had to come back before my flight. But the second time, the service was sooooooooooo slow. They didn't care at all to help me and finally after making one drink I had to ask for the rest of my order to be made. Not to mention one of the baristas left to give someone a drink in the back and didn't come back for at least 5-10 mins - I don't know where this mystery person was but the sure must have been important because the barista knew damn well there was a line of people waiting to be served but apparently didn't give a damn. It felt very purposeful and quite frankly rude but I cant speak on their intentions. Great food. Great drinks. Good atmosphere. I had to take give 3 stars tho for service. A wonderful study spot during a very stressful time (final exam season... yikes!). Even though it was busy, there was a lot of seating, and my friend and I had a good spot to hunker down for a couple of hours. We both had speciality drinks (me the sugar cookie latte, her the plum matcha), and they were both very good. Everything was clean, and everyone was very friendly. This place is high key trash. The service was so rude. I ask them what syrups they had and i just said look at the board. They didn't have caramel or vanilla. I mean what coffee shop doesn't have basic flavors. The milk tasted spoiled and overall it was all ice no coffee probably for the best since the only thing that was good was the ice. Tried the banana bread too much frosting dry and really cold for some reason. They had pride flags all over the place and overall just looked disgusting. I highly do NOT recommend. The drink was six bucks with 2 ounces of actual fluid. This place was a huge disappointment. read more

I love this spot! I appreciate all of the inclusivity messaging around here as well as resources posted on the wall. My iced Matcha was very good. The ambience was lively, but not too too loud where I couldn't take work calls with my headset or lost concentration. The only thing I would like to note here is that it gets a bit too dark in here when it is overcast, so some sort of additional lighting would be appreciated! read more

Cloud Walking Coffee Shop is such a hidden gem, I almost don't want to tell anyone about it... but here we are. I got the Flora Latte -- basically a whole floral moment in a cup. Lavender, rose, jasmine, hibiscus, elderflower, rose water, orange blossom water, honey, butterfly pea flower powder, and topped with an edible flower garnish. I had it with oatmilk, and iced of course. It's giving botanical garden energy, and I was very here for it. Had to try one birthday cake macaron -- key word one, but honestly I could've walked out with a dozen. And because I can't resist a curveball on the menu, I got the Basically a suburb of Chicago dog... and yes, it absolutely slapped. Think a gourmet twist on a Chicago dog: Vander Farms Wagyu dog, mustard, pickle, house relish, onion, tomato, pickled peppers, celery seed, and dill. Cute vibes, solid flavors, and the kind of spot you accidentally spend an hour in without realizing it. Okay so we are new to the area and we're looking to find a good regular coffe shop, and we tried Cloud Walking first. Drinks - Were okay, but 12 Oz for $7+ per drink was a bit extreme. Service - Everyone was really friendly. Service was a little slow though. Food - Got there too early for food, and had to go elsewhere. Ambience - Nice little artists section, and over nice inside. Parking - 3 spots in front or down the street. Not optimal. Overall a cute place but the value just isn't there and the late food time start just doesn't work for us. This with the lack of parking makes this a 1 and done for us. read more

I will start by saying these were hands down the BEST, most creative, delicious drinks my partner and I have had all year. So incredibly tasty even after the hot drink got cold! But the wait in this establishment was nothing short of unacceptable- only because there was seemingly no effective communication or organizational cohesion between the baristas. After waiting the first 25 minutes post ordering, I watched as a woman who walked in about 10 minutes after we did get her drink. I made eye contact with the barista who took our order and somehow... our drinks came out within the next cycle of people getting their orders. There were also flies on the beautiful pastries attached... I was tempted to get back in line and order one to eat while waiting because they looked so tasty! I did not end up ordering them.... Overall, I waited over 30 minutes here to get the best drinks I've had in a while. Always fun to check out a new coffee shop went on the road. I was excited to see this option surface as we were making our drive back to Indianapolis better yet, that it's located just across the street from one of our other favorite South Bend stops -an Italian sandwich shop. This coffee shop is unique in the sense that under one roof they house, a Roastery, homemade chocolate bar, business, sourdough bread, bakery in variety of items made by local artisans. Always fun to see a hub of creativity, housing so many delicious treats in one spot. We opted for a traditional mocha, and a Mayen mocha based on what we read in the reviews. They use the in-house chocolate in both of these drinks. They are very subtle and mild mochas. Don't expect a super sweet drink. The spotless, bustling, and the back of the business features a lot of space for studying and coworking. I appreciate that they have windows with visibility into the coffee roasting process. Overall, a positive experience. My only regret is not getting to try one of the homemade marshmallows that I saw topping some of the mocha drinks. The service was straightforward. I wouldn't call it the most friendly and warm of coffee shops but not necessarily unfriendly either. read more

Cloud Walking has figured out their flow and it's great. They have fun seasonal beverages, but I still love their mocha. There's a little bit of seating in the front, but there's a bigger area to hang out or work in the back with tables, couches, and comfy chairs. I love treating myself to a macaron from Love & Macs or a baked good (or bread) from Elder Bread. The Violet Sky chocolate is available for purchase, along with other goods like ceramics, jewelry, jam, and coffee, of course. The baristas and staff are all great. This is arguably the best coffee shop in South Bend. Don't miss it if you're in the area. read more

I had a mocha from here and it was one of the best coffees I've ever had. The foam was really thick and good. I had this pizza bread that was also delicious. They have fresh herbs from their garden. The cashier didn't know what was on the bread which was odd but it wasn't too hard to figure out. The macaroons were super good especially the lavender one! Cloud Walking Cafe is the loveliest shop with something around every corner- literally. There's plenty of seating- in fact there's an entire back room with couches and communal tables for working on your laptop or collaborating with others. They also sell several goods from local artisans - earrings, mugs, tshirts, dream catchers, artwork, etc. it's a bit of a mishmash. Their coffee drinks are delicious. They only have ONE SIZE offering though! What the heck?! I ordered their lavender orange blossom latte and it came in the smallest cup! I wanted 5 of them! This is my biggest (and only) complaint! I always take time to look at the floor. And the plants, and the lights, and the paintings on the walls. They've got a painting there that I love, but I wouldn't want to buy it. It belongs there. They've got plenty of seating space to choose from--tables and chairs, or couches and armchairs. And lovely pink Morpheus is good company. They've also got books. Holy moly, the cake by Adare was the BEST. The frosting was delicious and the perfect amount of sweetness. The crumb of the cake was moist and flavorful. I ate the chocolate cake with banana in the filling and it was to die for. I'm still thinking about this cake! It got two thumbs up from my son as well. Bonus points for the beautiful icing work. Such a hidden gem in the south bend area!! I was in town visiting friends and we went here after our brunch at the farmers market. The place was so artistic! I cannot believe this little place doesn't have more reviews. We came into town from Valparaiso, IN to attend the farmer's market. We stopped at The Early Bird and had amazing sourdough bread. I found out that this bread is sold here. My husband and I went straight to Cloud Walking and bought two loaves and two bagels. We had toast this morning with this amazing bread. All I can say is that I have never had bread THIS good. It is worth the price- don't bother complaining. Just buy it. The shop is cute and comfortable. The staff is super friendly and we loved it. I can see that even though I am an hour away, this will be a regular stop for me. So amazed at the craftsmanship here. We need more bakers and foodies in the world today.
