This place smells so good just walking in. Every day, they have new speciality items offered but also have some permanent staples like their huge, delicious cinnamon rolls. Today's specials were brown sugar toffee chocolate chip cookies (sold out by the time I got there), oatmeal cream pies, and lemon rosemary sandwiches. I snagged an infamous cinnamon roll, oatmeal cream pie, and lemon rosemary sandwich and my husband will be lucky if any make it home for him to try. This is such a cute woman-owned bakery and she supports other woman-owned businesses - like Red Arrow Roasters, the coffee roaster she uses out of Michigan. read more

I have admittedly not been to The Ragamuffin's brick and mortar location, but I did get a chance to try their delicious cookies when a friend brought a few to sample to a picnic. First off, the cookies are ENORMOUS. Like, easily splittable - or at least I hope you're hungry! The chocolate chip cookie stole my heart, as well as an oatmeal-based cookie. If I need to pick up a baked good in South Bend, I'll be going to The Ragamuffin, hands down. read more

Ragamuffin makes amazing Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Oatmeal Gluten Free Cookies. My only issue was the size of the cookies was overwhelming. We didn't realize that their standard-size cookies were 4-5 small cookies combined into ONE Giant cookie. Next time I will order the mini-sizes - which are still a good size. read more

Such a great find! I used to find their pastries at the farmers market or the odd coffee shop, and I am so glad they opened up shop. The bakers are so nice, and it's great to support a local business. Everything is prepared and baked fresh, and I have never in my life tasted a cinnamon roll so incredible (and I'm not a cinnamon roll person typically). $5 but really big and so good. I've also had their gluten free choco chip peanut cookies (and I'm not gluten free), and they're delicious! read more

This is THEE bakery of South Bend. Damn! Wife and I dropped in to try some baked items out of curiosity (then grabbed a beer next door at South Bend Brew Works ). You can smell the baked goodies from the parking lot. Excellent advertising. We tried to the brown butter magic cookie bar, an everything crescent and, of course, a cinnamon roll. All items were delicious and I can't wait to return to try the biscuits that I've seen on their IG. read more

To be honest, it's good for my health that Ragamuffin isn't open on Sundays, or I'd visit every weekend. I've had their cold brew, but they just got an espresso machine, so you can get your pastry and coffee fix taken care of in one go. Their berry bars are a favorite daily staple (as is the everything croissant). My absolute favorite baked good is the magic bars. I don't know what's in them, but they are my favorite baked good ever! I literally make a special trip whenever they have them on Saturdays. There are always some seasonal specialties that are worth trying. We liked the pumpkin coffee cake. Some friends ordered Ragamuffin baked goods for their rehearsal dinner, which is a brilliant idea and something we would have done if they'd been in business when we got married. After weeks of my newsfeed showing me their dark chocolate chip cookies, I caved and got one today. It 100% did not disappoint. I would say it's almost more of a brownie than a cookie but it lived up to my very high expectations for it. We also got a salted caramel pecan pie slice. I placed a catering order for my organzation and we were absolutely blown away by the quality! We ordered cinnamon rolls, banana muffins, seasonal fruit turnovers, and almond crescent rolls. The sizes of the cinnamon rolls and crescent rolls was mind blowing and my staff gobbled them up in a heartbeat! It was a very easy process to order and pick up. Ragamuffin is an absolute treat. I've tried their pumpkin whoopie pie and chocolate chip cookie so far, and especially for not being a sweets person, these were absolutely drool-worthy. The pumpkin whoopie pie is the perfect level of sweetness and pumpkin-y-ness - oh and super soft too. The chocolate chip cookie had a dash of salt which made you keep going back for another bite. Just bought some cookies for an event, and they were a hit!! Abby (the owner) was an absolute pleasure to work with for figuring out the order, and was so so helpful with accommodating dietary concerns! We tried two of their gluten free options and the Valentine's Day special (all delicious!), and the lovely folks at Ragamuffin even made a special no-gluten/no-nut cookie on the side for someone with a ton of allergies that I was worried about. Very thoughtful. Plus, the cookies were pretty big, so they're a great sweet-spot size to chow down on alone or split with someone else. I highly recommend! read more
