Brew brew got me on chokehold! I was at another cafe today to try something new and boy I should have never tried it because all I can think about was why didn't I go to brew brew to begin with. With much regret, I left and headed to brew brew to finish the rest of wfh morning time. I should have just came here from the start! Spacious, chill & delicious.

We really liked our experience here! There were plenty of coffee and food options along with ample seating options. I also loved all the extra customization options available at the self-ordering kiosk (half-sweet, extra hot etc). We went the breakfast burrito and torta for food and the gingerbread latte and peppermint mocha to go with it. The ambiance was nice and cozy as if we were visiting someone's home and the the food and beverages were excellent and well made. We will be back!

We came here on a Saturday at 10am and the line was out the door. This place came highly recommended. We were able to sit outside, it was a little chilly. The entire inside was full of folks. I got the veggie breakfast panini, it comes with a side of salsa verde. And it had a sauce on it, probably a chipotle aioli. It was tasty, the bread was very crunchy, and the veggies were fresh tasting. I got a cold brew too, it was tasty. My kid got a plain bagel with cream cheese and an orange juice. My partner got the farmers panini, it comes with bacon and eggs and a chipotle aioli. It was well received. My partner also got a horchata latte. Overall this place had a great vibe, good food.

My favorite coffee shop of the moment! I'm so, so happy to have found Brew Brew. I love everything about it; the friendly staff, home-y vibes, and of course, the amazing coffee (and food!) I went with the iced coconut ube latte to drink and the farmers panini to eat. The latte is made with ube concentrate, coconut syrup, milk, and espresso. It is the best coffee I've bought in a long time! The perfect balance of creamy, nutty, and sweet. A must try!! The farmers panini was super yummy too! It was served with a salsa verde that tasted so fresh and had a nice amount of heat. Can't wait to come back here! Brew Brew, please open up another location closer to me :)

YUM. Brew Brew has great coffee and even better (and bigger- they're massive!) tortas.

I love me a good matcha latte but when you add ube to that? That's my personality in a drink. Lately I've been on a kick to find my fav matcha in the city and this one was pretty good. They locked down the ube flavor pretty well. My ube matcha latte was a nice balance of ube, matcha, and coconut flavors. And they offer pup cups so I got one for my dog! The place is cozy inside. It's located on a busy street but was able to find parking no problem. I also read they have pretty good food here.

The sandwich was really good and served warm. Had a good amount of seating as well. Latte was good but wish the coffee was a bit stronger, could've used an extra expresso shot. Will go back to try new flavors!

a hispanic owned coffee shop, with great drinks and good tasting food. what more can you ask for. The service is okay, the staff is friendly but super busy so of course they'd wanna get people in and out. the walk up window is amazing because of the pup cups! i recommend the uber coconut latte and their cold brew.

I came here on a weekday morning to work and try out their menu. I was pleased that they have free street parking, open wifi, and they have a bottomless coffee on their menu. I ordered one cup of coffee and a chipotle chicken torta. The torta was delicious! Each bite included the chopped bits of chicken and fresh pico de gallo. I wanted to try the specialty drinks but I was disappointed to learn they use a powder for the horchata. Overall it was a good sandwich and coffee and I'd go back.

Saw a TikTok and instantly had to make a trip. My best friend and I didn't have a hard time finding parking. Upon entering, super cute place. Witnessed a cute little fur baby getting a pup cup from the walk-up window. Spacious shop, plenty of drink and food options. Ordering was super easy and the cashier was more than happy to answer any questions or give suggestion. I wasn't necessarily hungry, so opted for the iced Oaxaca Horchata Drink with a shot of espresso and almond milk. My friend got the hot Cafe Miel Latte and an everything bagel, with cilantro jalapenos cream cheese. Let's just say, we for sure will be back. The first sip of the Oaxaca Horchata Drink was the perfect mix of sweet (not too sweet), cinnamon, creamy horchata goodness. This place had a very consistent flow of customers and even pickup orders. Thank you so much!

I've been a customer of almost 10 years and have been obsessed since they first opened their doors at a different location. I literally live an hour away without traffic and even longer with traffic, but I make sure to stop by or send someone else to get it for me at least once a month or more. I love the amazing cakes that are so delicious and unique but on top of that, it is Asian owned, LGBTQ supporting, etc. A lot has changed since their little storefront with no seating. The bakery is now a full on cafe and I'm so happy to see how much they've grown and how successful they are. And while it is glorious, I will say I miss the sweet neighborhood charm and great customer service it used to have. Getting in touch with the bakery through phone or text can be tough and to be honest, sometimes one of the people working there is kind of...very mean. It had me questioning if I should keep coming back. I just love this bakery so much though and being raised by parents that had a small food business, I can't help but want to support. I had a particularly difficult last minute request for the bakery a few weeks ago and I was reminded why this place is so great. It had been YEARS since I made this specific request, which was an order for a slice of cake for every flavor and a cupcake for every flavor. This is a BIG and time consuming request, especially if it's last minute. Unfortunately I come to the city whenever the traffic isn't atrocious, so it's always last minute. Dom absolutely pulled through though. Even though there were other employees there (I saw two others but one disappeared and then another male was kind of walking around the cafe and such), Dom took this giant request and fulfilled it himself. The other gentleman (not the mean person previously mentioned) was actually who I made the request to, but he told Dom to do it. I was kind of confused why they didn't do it together but idk, maybe the other guy isn't allowed to handle food? Who knows. Regardless, this request obviously took a long time and the line was getting longer; people were getting a little restless but Dom stayed calm but was swift. I swear he was moving faster than most people in the industry could with a cake knife like that. He was not impatient or rude to me at all. He was just there to do his job as fast and well as possible. It's so rare to see that type of work ethic. He is also so obviously proud of the bakery and the food they serve which makes you feel good about being a patron there. So although I continue to have an unpleasant experience with one particular employee there, Dom keeps my love for this bakery alive. He reminds me of what this bakery was like when they first opened their doors. I hope Dom is cherished there and I bet he is considering his work ethic. I will continue to support this bakery and I recommend everyone else to support as well. It may not be that small little shop anymore but Dom is a reminder of the heart of the place.

I initially wanted to get a dinner reservation, but wasn't able to snatch one up even a couple weeks in advance. Spontaneously, my friend and I decided to go for lunch a couple Sundays ago. The weather conditions weren't great as it was raining moderately. This probably deterred at least some people from lining up. I got there around 12 PM and waited for about an hour, which is still long, but not as horrific as I thought. I also ended up with the last breakfast sandwich ticket since the group in front of me decided it wasn't worth it to wait in line so they gave it to me. This basically was the sign for me to stay in line. The ordering process was pretty simple. We ordered at the counter and prayed that there would be seats opened. Initially, we made ourselves comfortable at the bar, but we were able to migrate to a table shortly after. Our drinks came out within a few minutes after ordering and our food came out within 10. 12 OZ OH, HOT YAM! - 6.85 Initially, this was the drink I ordered. However, I thought it was too sweet and didn't feel like the ube flavor was that strong. My friend liked it more than the drink she ordered, so we ended up swapping. ICED BLACK SESAME LATTE - 6.85 This was the drink I swapped for, and the iced version was perfectly refreshing and nutty. It also wasn't too sweet. I would prefer a roastier black sesame flavor, but this was good enough. LONGANISA, EGG, AND CHEESE SANDWICH - 12 The breakfast sandwich didn't love like it'd be anything special, but the bun was incredibly soft and fluffy, with a custard, soft egg. The longanisa was well-seasoned, with the sweet & savory flavors bursting after each bite. I can see why the breakfast sandwiches at Kasama are so popular. Would highly recommend if you're able to snatch one. PORK BELLY ADOBO - 19.50 This item is weekend only, so I had to try it! I also love a good adobo rice. Despite it being pork belly, it was surprisingly not too heavy or fatty. The poached egg mixed in made each bite creamier. The pickled vegetables and chopped scallions were a nice touch to add a bit of tang and aromatics. I did take home half of the rice bowl home to enjoy for breakfast the next day. While this was good, it was probably the weakest of the three food items we ordered. FILIPINO BREAKFAST - 19 +1 for combo (longanisa and tocino) My friend ordered this, which came with a serving each of longanisa and tocino, a bed of garlic rice, sunny side up egg, pickled vegetables, and garnish. I had a bit of both meats, and the tocino was definitely my favorite. It was juicy, a good mix of sweet and savory -- reminded me of the Cantonese BBQ pork belly. I would definitely order something with tocino upon future visit. This was a pricy lunch, but the food was good and tasted cleaner than I had expect. I had a great time trying brunch at Kasama and would love to visit for their dinner menu when I'm in Chicago again.

Excellent value, delicious pastries and excellent coffee…read more I especially liked the blueberry muffin since it's just the muffin too without the whole muffin. FINE DINING AT NIGHT: 5/10 rating. Considering Alinea is 2 stars and similarly priced, I felt like a few things were lacking. The first issue? I left very hungry. The whole meal lacks any actual meat except two pieces of bird, which are small. The other dishes were primarily seafood or vegetables. I left at 70% capacity of fullness. Regarding the actual food, the quality was solid and the ingredients were excellent. The caviar was delicious, although the design of the small bowl and big bowl made it very annoying if any of your caviar came out you'd have to lift the small bowl out to scrape it. The next seafood platter had fresh shrimp and the toast was excellent with the sour cream. Tasted like a potato chip! The spring roll was unique and required you to roll it up. It's small but packs a good punch. The cabbage with Wagyu barely had any meat, so it was just a bite. The soup was very delicious and hot in temperature. The mackerel is small but fresh. Very good soup. The pancake dish was very unique and enjoyable with the pork. My favorite was the crumb dish with mushrooms. The crumbs were delicious. There were a few small oysters in it. If there were a few chicken bites it would have been perfect. The ending bird dish was tiny. I expected the whole bird to be cooked and many more pieces, but it included two bites and one leg with mushrooms. I thought one or two additional protein dishes were needed. I was at 60% full at that point and it went straight to desserts. The croissant with truffle was delicious with honey. Could have eaten 6 of those. The banana pudding really felt like delicious street food. The frozen shaved ice was delicious with the chocolate underneath. The white chocolate dessert and cracker were light with guava. It felt like the meal heavily overindexed on dessert and not actual entrees. Overall, for 1 star and $200 range I would have given this 9.5/10. But for 2 stars and $325, with a comparison with Alinea and other 2 star restaurants I've been to, this fell short. Increase the food portions and decease the dessert volume. The staff are highly attentive and well trained. Dinner took 2.5 hours.

I went on a weekday and there was still a good selection of pastries left around 11am. The staff was super nice and helpful as I struggled to make a decision. They shared that the strawberry milk croissant was their bestseller, so I opted for that. It was filled with fresh strawberry mascarpone and fresh strawberry puree. Despite the croissant's decadent appearance, it was not at all too sweet. I'm not typically the biggest croissant fan (I know, I know, no one is perfect) but this pastry blew me away.
