Just got off the phone with this company. The hot water heater they installed in 2019 is leaking. They informed me that they have no record of the work while i am looking at the stickers they placed on it. I am sure if I dug around I will find the paperwork since I have been a customer for years but this left a bad taste so. So I went with Another company. I had Breezen install two HVAC units in my 130year old home. I told them that I did not want them to run ducts thru my plaster walls. They didn't , they install ductwork and vents from my third floor to the ceiling of my second floor and ductwork and vents from my basement to the first floor. Along the way the made recommendation for larger filters and UV light Due to unavailability of some equipment they upgraded some of the equipment without an up charge Both the heat and AC work great. I highly recommend Breezin HVAC. Their technicians are knowledgeable and friendly, and the office is helpful and quick to reply. They installed a new central A/C system for me in my brownstone last year and did an excellent job. The condensers had to go on the roof 6 flights up, be carried up the stairs, and then pulled onto the roof; the old units had to go down the same way. They came with the manpower to get it done. They told me if they had to disassemble the units, they would do that as well and rebuild them; luckily, that was not needed. Other companies would have told me a crane would be required adding to the cost. They also work on my radiant heating system. When the ignition part broke on the boiler and I needed help quickly, they were there for me and came Saturday morning to fix the boiler. They made an appointment with me from 12 to 4 PM. I waited until 4:30 pm to get a phone call that the rep was still working on a previous project, after my appointment was scheduled. Then they asked me if I could wait for them to arrive at 7:30pm. They could've had the courtesy to call me during the time that they made me wait. I wasted half the day waiting for them and that is why they lost my business. Breezin is no longer family owned. Called Breezin and discovered they have just merged with Guaranteed Service in NJ. Received a quote for a new Hot water tank. Asked for a breakdown and parts and labor on the estimate and was told they don't provide that but would have a manager call me back. No one called back. Did the work, but will rethink using either company in the future. read more

I did get a response but never an actual quote. I had Breezin place an powered attic fan in my attic nearly 20 years ago, they gave me the best price back then. I was looking to get a quote like the last time for a gas furnace exhaust cap. I did some pricing and the flue cap cost between $25-35 my cost. Three screws into the cap and flue and your done, how much should this have cost? $150 TOPS is my guess. But I never got a quote, which is sad. I did get a quote from another shop for $300! That's shameful and excessive,so I bought a cap at Home Depot and asked to borrow my neighbors extension ladder and did the job with my neighbor for $60! I gave him 30 for the ladder use. It is true, I did get an initial response to my original question. and I was asked to call the office but honestly, if I'm getting responses here, why couldn't I have gotten a quote here? Again, I used Breezin many years ago before the internet, when people USED to make phone calls for quotes. I trusted you to make a hole in my roof back then and all these years later happy to say I don't have or had any leaks, eventhough I have had to replace the motor on that power fan once myself. Called and left a message. Got a return call in under 5 minutes and not even a half hour later the tech came with a follow up call while he was here. He thoroughly inspected my furnace and diagnosed the issue. The charge for the service was reasonable as well. read more

However, I literally called three times and spoke with Glenn and the receptionist to try and set up a time for them to come out and do the job and they would promise to get back to me and never did. WARNING!! This company had to come three times in order to accurately diagnose the problem with my HVAC unit. I paid $125 service fee for the first visit when I was told that I would need to replace the coil in the unit since there was no heat coming up. I called the company a week later when I discovered that not only was I getting heat but I couldn't turn it off. During the second visit the repairman honestly admitted that he did not know what the problem with the unit was. I had my building manager take a look after the second visit. He concluded that it was probably the motorized valve. During the third visit the same repairman agreed and called his boss Sean to get a replacement part. I was then informed that I would be charged for another service call I immediately called the company and spoke with Sean who then informed me that he would not charge me but would not be working for me at all. What kind of company operates like this. I get charged for a service call and then the company refuses to do the work because it took 3 visits to diagnose it correctly and even then it took someone outside the company to guide them. Not only are they unprofessional, rude & they told us we needed a part that we didn't need. Then called us the next day and told us we needed another part changed, which was literally replaced the day before! But more importantly they are liars! I requested a refund, my husband requested a refund (both were denied) then I made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau requesting a refund. They responded to the Better Business Bureau by saying they offered us a refund twice and we denied it! We wouldn't be here if they would have given us our money back..... thieves! read more

Breezin are listed on the Goodman Dealer & Service site as the company that services New York city - Staten Island, Manhattan etc. Yet when i call them they say, "oh no, we don't cover Harlem - that's too far up". I'm like, "lady, its only at 131 Street - just above Central Park. Its Manhattan and you say on your website you service Manhattan." "Oh no, we're in Staten Island and we don't do that area." We've been a Breezin customers since the early 90's when we first moved to Staten island, they installed our AC and heating system in our first home, they lasted almost 20 years when they started to break down I called they responded were fair about the prices for both the AC and heating system which by the way added value when we sold our home.. Everyone.PLEASE take my comments seriously.I know way too many people who are victim of this company.This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL company ever.Please choose a different company because they are there to RIP YOU OFF.When I say,RIP OFF,thousands of dollars. My boiler broke a few yrs ago,and since my bldg has some kind of connection with Breezin,I contacted them as well.It took me A MONTH to really get the boiler fixed in the middle of winter.They made like 5 trips to do a shitty job of repairing my boiler,and they never fixed it 100%.Each time they came to fix something,they were playing guessing games like "oh,maybe this,maybe that..." and they also charged me hundreds of dollars each time they came.I spent $2000 just trying to repair.So they finally told me to buy a new one. I spent $6000 to purchase a new boiler and guess what? These people had NO IDEA how to install it.They were in my house all day long,cursing with 4 letter words for the whole time.I had to take off from work that day.To cap it all,this is what they said ,"Hey,I can't install this unless you let me smoke a cigarette in your apt.can I smoke in your apt.?" I was like??????? I snapped right back saying "No,you need to go outside and smoke! You may NOT smoke in my apt.!" Then they snapped "Oh,c'mon,just say yes! Just let me smoke!!" After they have smoked cigarette outside,they FINALLY installed my boiler.Guess what this is what they said. "You see,I told you,I needed a cigarete.It's all fixed.But I need to you to call me every hr to let me know that the boiler is working properly." I need to call them EVERY HR? Obviously they are not confident with their work. And of course,my BRAND NEW boiler broke again in the middle of the night like at 2 AM.Breezin is a 24 hr svc,so I called them up,and of course,NO ONE picks up the phone so I left them a message. Like an hr later this lady calls me up and she told me that they are gonna come and fix it tomorrow morning she is gonna have her boss call me.Tomorrow morning?? This is an emergency on the middle of the winter when it was -7 degree outside.Plus,I am entitled to get a swift svc after spending so much money.So the boss calls me like 20 minutes later,and he yelled at me saying " You have no right to call us this late!! I have a baby here!" I snapped right back saying "You have a baby there? Well,I have a broken BRAND NEW EXPENSIVE boiler that stopped working and I have NO HEAT NOR hot water.Please come and fix right now.Breezin is a 24 hr svc.!" Then this boss SHAWN goes " we are not 24 hr svc.Who told you that we are 24 hr svc?" I told him "Your catalogue says you are a 24 hr svc company and there is a sticker on the boiler that says you are a 24 hr svc.!" Then he shouted "we are not on call 24/7! Remove the sticker!!!" Next morning,when they came,I shrieked at them at the top of my lungs,using all the 4 letter words I have learned from them for the entire month. Now this time,this guy Danny went contacted the manufacturer via phone to install this properly.This is something he should have done the VERY FIRST DAY he came to INSTALL IT.He was just lazy to do so and therefore,I had to go through the problem for the ENTIRE MONTH. Saturday morning I woke up to no heat,I called Breezin, The office was open(even though on line it said closed),I think the phone number might be to a cell phone that is always answered,it was not a phone service. Breezin HVAC is an extremely unethical vendor. They were hired by our equally unethical coop management company, Esquire Management. We have been asking this management company for months to fix our unit ventilation, which we complained about to the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. An environmental investigation was opened. Esquire finally said they happened to have an HVAC vendor (Breezin) in the bldg for another issue and asked if Breezin could stop by our unit. We said yes as long as my engineer boyfriend could be there and an appt was premade in advance. No appt was ever made by Esquire or Breezin yet Breezin showed up unannounced. and harassed my daughter while in home school, and then per the request of the Esquire management company, wrote a letter to NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene the stating we didn't allow them access and that the occupant said "the occupant at this address told my technician as well as the super that all were in perfect order." I never even talked to them that day as I was sick in bed and never said such a thing. Breezin outright lied to a NYC building authority. When Breezin came back to clean the vents eventually (only due to the complaint) we asked them to examine the overall ventilation as cleaning would never resolve the whole issue. No response and they seemed to only care about cleaning the vents and getting their $300. A completely unethical vendor who can be bought by coop boards and management companies. Beware read more

I would definitely recommend these guys. They installed a hood in my kitchen and installed a Mitsubishi central heat and a/c system in my basement. Very reliable and they know what they doing. We have had a service contract with Breezin HVAC, Inc since approximately 2008 when they solved an annoying AC insulation problem that was caused by the AC installer and seemingly unsolvable by the other company with which we had a service contract. After seeing a Breezin truck near my office, I called and spoke to the owner, Shawn. After describing the problem (AC dripping from vents inside the house), he told me what was needed (insulation for rooftop AC) and how much it would cost. Shawn sent out a crew and thankfully the dripping problem was solved! I subsequently entered into a service contract with Breezin and I've never been disappointed. Shawn's crew comes twice a year (AC startup and heat startup) and they are always polite, efficient and reliable. read more

Glen and Mike were a blessing for us on this frigid day. We were without heat all day with a 3 month old baby. We contacted Sears to get our furnace checked and Breezin came to the rescue. We were their last call, but they were patient with us and figured out the problem fairly quickly. The issue came when Sears kept transferring us to different departments when we were trying to confirm whether the insurance would cover the cost of their labor. Glen noticed that we were not getting anywhere and spoke with the Sears representative for over an hour in an attempt to get through all the logistical work faster so he could get the thermostat switched out and get our heat on. He did not have to do that, but did! Sears essentially said that they would only cover a certain amount, which after taking into consideration the various components that comprise the total cost of the service was not enough. The Sears representative even had the audacity to say to Glen that they were trying to rob them, a multi-billion dollar company. We decided to move forward with the claim because we were desperate for heat and we were expecting to pay the balance that wasn't covered by our protection policy out-of-pocket. Our thermostat was faulty and was installed as part of a program that Con-Edison was running to install touch-screen thermostats. Glen and Mike fixed the problem and were extremely kind as we were making small talk waiting for Sears. We just wanted to say how much we appreciated the extra mile that Glen and Mike took to make sure that we, but especially our baby, were warm tonight and for the new year. On top of all the extra work they did, they only asked for the equivalent of the deductible, which was a blessing with the holidays keeping our family on a tight budget and these type of unexpected costs can be extremely stressful.
