Ice Age Mechanical just finished another installation for me. This time it was 3x 3 head units…read more It was part of the Con Ed rebate program for heat pumps. Ice Age filed the paperwork and I was approved almost immediately which reduced my cost my almost 40%. As mentioned previously, their work is impeccable. They did the job in the time they estimated. They had to work around tenants, so they needed to work smart and neatly and clean up each day. Their electrician, Carlos, routed the power with little disruption of another apartment both in time and how he ran the line. Victor does the finish work which was included in the price and I can't tell where the lines were run. I obtained three bids on this project. Ice Age was the only one that was all-inclusive so I did not need to find an electrician or someone to do the patching. I would (and did) use them again.

However, now two units are not functioning properly and they do not respond to messages to set up a service call. Concerned that they do not seem to stand by their work. So keep this in mind if you are looking to have a system installed!

A couple of years ago, I purchased two A/C units from Scaran. It took several visits to complete…read morethe job due to issues like wrong filters and a noisy compressor. Every time I changed the filters, they would get caught on something, so I finally decided to take a closer look. Besides the screws sticking out where the filter sits, I found a huge gap between the unit and the duct. Essentially, the system has been cooling the attic as well. I called Scaran, and they told me the installation is out of warranty. This is the last time I'll be dealing with this company.

I moved into a new condo that had an improperly installed system. Three AC techs over the course of…read morethe year failed to give proper advice to fix it. It wasn't until I had a major freon leak that I started to get better advice from various AC repairmen, but I ended up choosing this company for three reasons: 1. Quality advice - I called on Friday right before Memorial Day and no one would take any jobs. Also I knew that I needed a new part and that this would take time to identify and order. Supreme M worked with me and guided me to order the right part myself to speed up the installation schedule. 2. Speed - because I overnighted the part in advance, they were able to install and repair on Wednesday right before a very hot week. One more day and I would have been baking. 3. Price - these guys do not nickel and dime you. Their price for a refrigerant recharge and pipe repair was fair, and it was really a no haggle experience. The owner is a young and honest guy, is very thorough, and does all the work personally. I'm glad I've found my new HVAC goto guy.

I hired HVAC Hunters for a refrigerant recharge. The technician told me, based on his professional…read moreexperience, that this recharge would get my system through the summer. I took him at his professional word and approved the work on that basis. It did not last 12 hours. The system stopped working the same day. Only afterward did I read the fine print on the invoice, which says the opposite of what I was told in person: that a recharge carries no guarantee of operation for any period of time and that the refrigerant may keep leaking. So I was sold a "summer" fix verbally, handed a disclaimer in writing, and left with a system that quit before the next morning. To make it worse, no one had the courtesy to call me and let me know the outcome of the conversation with their technician. Having managed large operations for years, I know there's a right way and a wrong way to do business: set honest expectations, stand behind what your technician promises, and communicate directly. None of that happened here. My advice, get every promise in writing before you approve any work, or better yet, call someone else.

I have been dealing with Royal Mechanical for 5 uears now and have been extremely satisfied with…read moretheir service. It all started one very hot Saturday at the height of summer my ac went out and couldnt find a contractor to come and help us out. I was given Anthonys name and number by my son so i gave it a try and to my suprise he answered my call and arrived at my house within hours. He got us up and running within a couple of hours and diverted a very uncomfortable situation. Since i have retained his company to do a complete new HVAC system to my home and the one concern i had was hiring his outfit and having them not standing by their work if anything were to happen to the new unit and my concerns were soon put to rest. Anthony was even more attentive to my needs when i needed them. So it is my pleasure to recommend Royal Mechanical to anyone who has the need for HVAC services i am sure you will be a satisfied customer.
