I recently had the pleasure of working with Chris, an HVAC contractor I found on Yelp, and I honestly couldn't be more satisfied. For context, I've been using a well-known plumbing/HVAC company in East Brunswick call Rick's since 2022. They have some solid technicians, but as an engineer, I value clear diagnostics and honest recommendations--especially since I understand the system myself. This year, I noticed high pressure in my old-school baseboard heater boiler. The expansion tank felt full, and since these typically need replacing every 6-8 years, I assumed that was the issue. The company sent out a tech who, without testing or even touching anything, quoted me $1,175 to replace the expansion tank, the relief valve, and the pressure release valve--all of which had already been replaced last year. When I asked why they needed replacing again, he couldn't explain and told me there was no warranty on the parts which i didn't ask for. I just wanted to know the reason, but he had no answer. Also the was he was communicating and responding to my question... Huge red flag...I passed. Enter Chris. I called him on a Friday, and even though he was fully booked, he offered to come by the next morning--on his day off--because he understood the urgency. He spent over an hour carefully inspecting the system and ultimately fixed the issue without replacing a single part. He did recommend upgrading to a larger expansion tank in the future, which made sense, so I asked him to go ahead and do it. Since we had to drain the system anyway, I also had him replace the relief valve, just to be safe. And here's the kicker: he charged under $400 total for parts and labor across two visits. I even told him to charge more and handed him my card he wouldn't take it. Seriously, wow. Beyond that, Chris has a mechanical engineering background and tons of hands-on experience. He listens, explains everything clearly, and only recommends what's actually needed. He also showed great respect for the space wore booties without being asked, cleaned up after himself, and left everything spotless. Great job, Chris, and best of luck! I'll definitely be calling him again when I'm ready to install a ductless AC system. Knowledgeable, honest, professional. what more could you ask for? read more

Team at FloPro was great. Called for something, they were prompt on call back and quickly scheduled service. Service went well, was fast, easy, and priced fairly. They were on time, clean, communicative, and friendly. Had a minor hiccup with something on hot water, team came right back out to rectify the small issue we were facing. It was tertiary issue related to service. No big deal, and they were all over it. I would recommend and plan to utilize this team in the future. I had four problems. 1 change the shower head. That was easy. 2. Change the shower cartilage. It took more time than anticipated. At the end he had to cut open the nozzle and replace. 3. Change the toilet tank and bowl. 4. Loosen the sink faucet, which he could not because it was old. Chris was very patient and dedicated. Took him a few hours and had to come back morning to adjust. Considering, some of the people just like to bill without much effort. Chris was a bit expensive, but worth every penny. read more

He came that day and worked 3 hours. he did a WONDERFUL job. - Changed all the pipes, which were done wrong by previous install - changed all the shut off valves - Gas line was a mess, Chris cleaned it up and took out unnecessary pipe - Put in an expansion tank - cleaned up after job complete - pleasant and efficient - called after install and took time to resolve issue not to do with his install. read more

FlowPros provided a very rapid response to a dire situation in the peak of the summer heat. After doing the due diligence and shopping around. we found that their offer was the best that we had been served. He was able to set up a stopgap on the old failing unit while we waited for our new hardware. When it finally arrived, Chris did great work, was efficient, and got us out of our heat induced mania fast. We were FINALLY able to replace our system. I just had the pleasure of working with Chris from Flow Pros. I put a request in for a different company late at night. Yelp sent the request to a few other choices and Flow Pros was one of them. I mentioned I didn't need an immediate response because I had major water damage from an unrelated problem but I needed a pro because my furnace filter got sucked into the blower motor. Within minutes I received a reply from Chris. As I said, a handful of vendors were contacted by Yelp through my one request. There were vendors with more reviews and even one with a 20 percent off offer but here's why I chose Chris': 1) He was licensed 2) The reviews he had mentioned qualities important to me 3) His business existed on more than just Yelp. 4) The area code/town he responded from wasn't too far 5) Chris was the first to respond 6) Most important to me was Chris' response. He first sympathized with the mess I had going on and then responded to the request pertaining to Flow Pros. Chris was the only one who related to me and my situation before he got down to business. After a week of being treated like I was an inconvenience to a bunch of water mitigation people paid directly by the insurance company, Chris said a few words to tell me he could identify with my situation. I had a gut feeling I could trust Chris. I am glad I trusted my gut feeling. Chris didn't just tell me why he had to change parts. He showed me on each questionable part why it was ok or why it would work but it wouldn't work well enough. Chris was excellent in assisting us in replacing our central AC (condenser, coil, the works). He was patient and deliberate in ensuring everything was functioning properly, and even took the time to speak to our home warranty company to help us get some rebates squared away. He also took great care in making sure he "left no trace behind", which may seem small but is a major nuisance that happens more often than you would think. He laid a tarp down to protect our floors, as the conditions were rather muddy outdoors, and disposed of all trash and old equipment without trying to tack on extra fees.
