If you're going to go to a salon with a $60 haircut at least include a hair wash. Good lord. This salon has a more upscale feel but without the quality in haircuts. You got some really sweet lady's here but others have such a cocky attitude. Wouldn't recommend this place. I started out with hair an inch and half below my shoulder. I came asking for a very simple trim. Usually asking for a trim is straightforward. I ended up getting three inches cut off, and it's way above my shoulder. This is after I specifically said I do not want my hair that short. I have never in my life gotten such a bad hair cut. I also got highlights and specifically said I just want them to cover my grays and showed that my grays were around my ears. When I got home I pulled my hair back into a bun, and all of my grays by my ears are still there. Such sloppy and inattentive work. It was a complete hack job. I won't be back. read more

I had my eyebrows microbladed by Yuko! Yuko is EXCEPTIONAL, truly! She is a perfectionist and a true artist. Her work is meticulous and thorough. She is very gracious, and asks to see if you are comfortable the whole time you are with her. The service took three hours from start to finish. Yuko's eye to the smallest detail is just superb. She listened to me, and gave me exactly what I wanted. She patiently took her time mapping my eyebrows to the perfect shape, and asked for my input every step of the way. She's very sweet and courteous, and extremely professional. She certainly is an asset to Breathe Salon and if you're thinking of getting your eyebrows microbladded, Yuko is the one to go see. Be careful! I made an appointment for a microblading retouch. The receptionist confirmed the price after I told her that Olivia did not do my original microblading. When I went in for the retouch Olivia raised the price from $150 to $450! Typical bait and switch. After posting my review the owner is saying there was "confusion". No confusion. I made an appointment for a $150 service as confirmed by the receptionist. Went to my appointment and Olivia told me that the receptionist "made a mistake" and I should have been quoted $450 not $150. Big difference! As I said, bait and switch. Notified the BBB. read more

Phenomenal service! I'm new to the area and trying to find a new stylist is always a scary adventure. I truly lucked out with Breathe. I went in with hair that was embarrassingly overdue for a cut and color and I was (as usual) unsure with what I wanted. The stylist (Cassy) really took the time with me to make a decision that would be healthiest for my over processed hair. Between her, the owner Deb and a gentleman by the name of Donn, whom I believe was there on consult, they came up with the perfect color for me. It feels fresh and healthy again! I'm one of those people who can never quite articulate what I want for my hair, so to have them get it right on so many levels speak volumes to me. Casey did a fantastic job cutting mine and my daughters hair. She was super friendly, listened to what we wanted, and made sure she we very happy with the results. My daughter went from a medium length hairstyle to a shaved hairstyle that resembles ruby rose. I had layers cut into my long hair. We both have super thick naturally curly/frizzy hair. I had the WORST experience at Breathe Salon yesterday!! I had scheduled a waxing at 11am. I got there 10 minutes early since I was new and they told me that the girl would get me in a few minutes. So, I sat there, 4 feet from the front desk for the next 20 minutes!! Finally, at 11:20 I went up to the desk and asked if I had my appt time wrong and they said "No, it was at 11...shes just running a little late" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? She wasn't even IN the building and I had already waited half an hour so I said that I was leaving and they didn't apologize or anything. The lady at the desk just asked if I wanted to come back later... Uhhh NO! I'll take my business somewhere else, thank you!! read more

After reading the review of fellow Yelper Valarie, below, I decided to give Breathe Salon a try. I am way overdue for a cut and color, not very articulate about what I want (but very adamant about what I don't), have bern through several local stylists (only to have them move or not meet expectations) and was desperate for a cut/color hours before leaving for a bucket-list European vacation. Although I don't recommend walking in and begging for the moon (and that's really what I did), I could not have been more grateful to the staff at Breathe Salon. The receptionist, Sherry, was super sweet and sympathetic, explaining there were no openings for a three hours. I then asked if I could just get a cut (grey roots are in, right?) and she fit me in for an hour later. Sherry then walked over to another stylist, Debbie, and asked if she would do my color before my haircut appointment. Well, Debbie did just that, squeezing me in between 2 of her regulars. I tell ya, my eyes clouded just a wee bit at the kindness of these women. Leyla came on for her shift and was happy to cut my hair. She listened to what I thought I wanted, listened to what I didn't want, and gave me the perfect, no-fuss cut. The length is perfect, the color vibrant and healthy looking, and I am excited to take my fiery self to Ireland! I am excited to have found a new stylist at a local salon. Being in Breathe was a breath of fresh air! I felt like I was walking into a crowd of long lost friends. Truly, it was like watching a movie where the salon was an integral part of the show. The staff were like family; everyone was friendly, and I felt part of all that. I am more grateful the they could ever know. My fallback plan was to take hair color with me so my hubby could dye it, get a cut in Ireland and hope I didn't get the Sinead O'Connor special, and hope for the best. Instead, four people showed what a little flexibility and a mountain of kindness could do. I would have starred them anyway just for taking the time to fit me in but I LOVE my cut and color too! I'm new in the area, and visited Breathe on a recommendation from a friend. I went for a trim to my naturally curly hair and highlights. The cut was okay. But I was not pleased with the professionalism of the atmosphere, the stylist's knowledge of her products, or the highlights. I won't make another appointment here. My stylist was fairly young, and did an okay consultation, but rarely spoke to me after that. She chatted with other stylists and their clients and didn't try to engage with me. This made the salon feel super relaxed and very small-town. Especially as a new client, I like the stylist to focus on me, and this seemed unprofessional. She did a good cut. She added layers to my shoulder length hair to make the curl behave better. And it looked nice curly. Although, when I straightened it later at home, some of the layers weren't quite even. I asked for very natural blended highlights, and got 5 distinct blond stripes (granted, narrow ones) down my part line. They have not softened much or grown out well with time. I didn't want my finished cut blown out straight, and asked her to style it curly, so I could see how the cut would behave. She had no idea what products to use, or how to handle naturally curly hair. So she brought over every curly hair product the salon carries, lined it up in front of me, and asked me which ones I wanted her to try. I expect my stylist to be an expert on their product line and was unhappy to be guessing and testing just like I do by myself in the beauty aisle at Meijer. Although I have certainly had worse salon experiences, the staff's behavior, skill, and knowledge fell short of what I am looking for in a salon. read more

My waxing experience with Trisha was great. She was so friendly and professional. She was also very thorough and efficient and you can tell she cares about doing a great job. The room is very calming and relaxing. I was very pleased with how everything turned out and I couldn't recommend her more! You get 50% off of your first service if you are a first time customer.
