Top of the line. I've been getting my nails done for a long time. It's hard to find a consistently great manicure along with professionalism among the staff. The staff communicates well with customers. Customers all seem satisfied to be receiving the services they're receiving, and it a peaceful/cheerful atmosphere. M Nails does nice work. There are plenty of booths for both manicures and pedicures. The salon is very clean. The staff have a level of professionalism that you don't really see very often. I have going to this salon for years. I appreciate the fact that they willingly take walk-ins, and I am usually able to get an eyebrow wax w/o an appointment, which works great w my schedule. Regarding manicure and pedicures, they are always open to mimicking pictures I collect from Pinterest, and I never feel pressured to upgrade to higher-level services. Monique knows her regulars by name, and many of the employees that have been there for years know me and remember my daughter, who often accompanied me there before she unexpectedly passed. when i showed them my inspo photo, they said they could match the colors and they did not. My acrylics are thick, messy, and see through. They are also very expensive! The place has good decor and nice staff but the quality of my nails are not nearly matching the price. Pedicures are good there. I immediately walked in and picked out a set of premade nails that would be $100 plus. I knew that. She discouraged me and told me they were too expensive for me. I picked a cheaper set and she still told me that those were too expensive for me... I walked in there with pretty much a $500 budget for whatever I wanted and I walked out with horrible plain black nails because she wouldn't let me get what I wanted. My service was decent I made an appointment a week ahead still had to wait around 10 minutes before my service. The person who did my nails (full set French tips) was kind, but they did absolutely no nail prep. No filing, no push cuticles back, honestly just a sloppy job. I got my nails done a week an ago and they look about 3 weeks grown out the acrylic is basically chipping towards my cuticles and after I had nail glue or something all over my fingers. They also did not clean off the area before applying acrylic, so I have file dust stuck in my nail polish. Last week, my mom and I got pedicures with Tai and Moon. My nails still look good, and they did an amazing job with the polish. We both got the deluxe so we got a hot stone massage too and it was such a pleasant experience. They use mostly single use tools, and keep everything separated and organized. The foot tubs have bags to help keep them clean. They do exceptionally well at keeping the place clean for/between customers. Today, I went in for a manicure for a wedding tomorrow. I have been going here for years. I have given them great reviews in the past. I took a picture in of the nail design. I was charged $75 for the service. I tipped very well too. I could not see the design at all when I left, but had somewhere to be so I called them. made an appointment to get them fixed. I was put with the same nail tech who was visibly not happy, then she was not willing to redo them, offered to put a different color on. By now I'm just very uncomfortable and agreed. Okay I've stewed over this for hours... I went to this salon because my normal nail tech retired and I'm searching for a new one and trying not to travel too far from home. The building was beautiful and there was plenty of selection with the colors and designs and for that I give two stars but my nails are another story... I asked for something VERY simple and VERY hard to mess up a glitter to NUDE ombre nail I even showed this picture... Instead I ended up with Barbie barf pink sparkly quinceanera nails... I would have greatly preferred and appreciated if the tech was upfront about his lack of ability with my request and told me to just wait for another tech that wouldn't have been a problem I was just a walk in any way. My wedding is in less than a week and I don't even know where I can go to not only fix the ugly color but also the length and shape( which I wasn't even asked about I was just given this ugly extremely outdated extended but still quite short square shape that does no favors for my already short fingers). I'm not sure if it was just the tech didn't know the colors( as I picked a darker nude base he initially asked about this gross pink one and I said no and pointed out what I wanted) or to ask before they start cutting at nails( he didn't ask about the length or shape just cut away to his liking). Also for these hardly long unflattering nails I was told the price was $65! I usually pay that for nails twice as long in a more pleasing shape... I tried to go local and unfortunately it didn't work out so never again no thank you. Update: it's been two days since I had my nails done and one already broke... I had dip powder done on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. My appointment was with Tang, because my usual tech, Sheloz, had gone back to Vietnem for 2 months. I left yesterday morning for a cruise and will not be returning until January 20th. I noticed yesterday evening, that the tips of my nails were showing wearing. I called this morning and sent pictures and explained I am not in town. The owner said I could come in and have a new over coating done., because that's what is wrong. I explained again that I am on vacation and I can't come in to be fixed until the 22nd. In the mean time, one of my nails actually chipped. I sent her a picture and she said be would be$5 to repair it. I again told her I was on vacation and can't come in until the 22nd, she said the best she can do is give me 30% off because I would be coming in when I was due. I paid $45 plus a tip. Started going to this salon for pedicures in 2020 after they reopened from the shutdown. Decided to start getting my nails done here in 2021 as well since it's closer to home and my pedi's were well done. The salon is always clean and I really like how my nails look when I leave. My polish is always perfect. Prices are very reasonable and everyone is always friendly. They are busy no matter what day and time I go and there is a reason for that: they're simply that good. Frustrated! My daughter came in today for a fill on acrylics that you put on two weeks ago. At the last appointment we were charged $45 each for getting a full set. Today the same fee was charged for just a fill and polish. None were broken. Just a fill and polish. They are beautiful BUT she was charged $45!!! I couldn't bring her as I was home sick but truly I believe she was significantly over charged! I plan to call when my voice returns and discuss this with the manager. My friend was cut by a nail tech, and was bleeding and used the dip powder on her and put it back in the container- after she was cut which is unsafe and unsanitary. I'm concerned for anyone who ever would come here due to health concerns.it also looks like my nails are growing out and I JUST got them done, plus they're crooked. Definitely would not recommend coming here unless you can make an appointment with the owner. Their upgraded pedicure is so relaxing, however if you're just walking in, it's a gamble on who you're going to get, and some of the techs here are the worst I've had. EVER! I've gotten the same man twice over the last year or so, and both times I've been cut on my cuticles in multiple places. He was even irritated with me as I wouldn't let him use the weird blue gel stuff that makes you stop bleeding (what even is that?!) so we just had to wait it out and apparently that was taking too much of his time. My gel manicure also lifted and peeled the next day, and when I went in to get it fixed, they were so rude about it. They ended up fixing the one that chipped, but all of the others did the same thing the next day anyway. Definitely would NOT recommend. read more

Nice salon, but nail technicians are not trained well. I went in for a shellac and the nail technician cut me while filing my nails with an electric filer. I'm unsure why he opted to use an electric filer considering I had no prior shellac on my nails. My finger bled for 10 mins straight and he offered me no bandaid and was not really remorseful for it. When I went to pay he charged me $35. I questioned this because every other time I've came in for shellac I paid $28. I got no special design or color and considering he cut me I was pissed he charged me so much . I told him I've never paid 35 but he kept saying that was the price. Needless to say $35 is not worth it for a crappy shellac. I won't be visiting again, I'll stick with my nail salons in Ann Arbor. read more

Purposefully deceiving on price. Told my daughter she had to get gel polish on her acrylic nails which greatly increased price. Afterwards, the lady who told my daughter she had to get gel polish, said she could have gotten regular polish but gels were "more popular". I regret refusing to pay the gel polish price. Her friend did NOT GET GEL POLISH but I was charged for it anyway. It was only after we left did she tell me that the nail tech asked and she requested, and received, normal nail polish.
