I was passing by during a Yelp Event and decided to drop by? I just ordered a Classic Boba Milk tea at 15% sugar. Taste wise it's actually fairly better than most with a floral smell? You don't often find places where the scent is noticeable from a distance? The prices are around 8 USD each, a little higher than my usual yet it can be tolerated since this is higher quality.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Breaking Tea is a cozy boba shop located in DT Campbell close to Manresa Bakery, Aqui Restaurant, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think it's mostly street parking around. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is simply decorated with long tables and chairs to sit at. They do have a long bench near the front door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Kiosk and/cashier to order from. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One unisex restroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have house music playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Additional tea and juice drinks are currently being added to the menu. Stay tuned. I went with the Classic Milk Tea (+$ boba). The tea was good and the boba was soft and chewy. Support your local business.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A cute little spot in downtown Campbell off Campbell Avenue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A pretty good selection of milk and fresh teas to choose from. Self-serve on their kiosk, so no one greets you or asks if you need anything. And for a Saturday afternoon, they were already out of their Egg Waffles? Never heard of a place of running out of something that's pretty simple to make since you only need to make the batter. Popcorn chicken was good. The mild is already pretty spicy enough for me. And able to select to Almond milk in my hot Taro Latte with an extra cost - I think $0.75 more). [[HIGHLIGHT]]But, a lively place with music playing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Okinawa Milk Tea

I tried the Okinawa milk tea with bubbles. The tea was yummy, it had a rich, black tea flavor. The bubbles were fantastic soft yet chewy. I wished the amount of added bubbles was a bit more. I also ordered the spicy popcorn chicken, which was just as tasty. It came with a side of sweet chili sauce. I would like there to be slightly more chicken and less breading, but overall, it was a great. I ordered online and picked it up in-store, and the service was quite quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have tables and music playing inside, and they also had the same small sweet bites upfront.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Mozzarella sticks, popcorn chicken.

Since my last review, I've tried a few different milk teas (lots of after school meetings require pick me up drinks) and have found one that is more to my speed. This particular time, I came with my bf on a weekend as we were looking for a late afternoon snack and decided milk tea sounded good. We were around the area for something else, so we came here. Ordering was easy at the kiosk - okinawa milk tea for me, some coffee drink for the bf and popcorn chicken and mozzarella sticks to share. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was still the same - relaxed and calm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We sat in a corner and had good conversation about random topics. I liked my okinawa milk tea much more than the regular milk tea - it's similar to the brown sugar milk tea with a stronger flavor. My bf gulped down his drink, so I assume he liked his as well. The snacks were decent - I preferred the popcorn chicken over the mozzarella sticks. The chicken was nicely fried, but still tender. The sticks were a little too dry for me.

While downtown at the Campbell farmers market I decided I wanted boba. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First thing in noticed when walking in was the decor and the mood lighting. The space is relatively small with just a handful of tables but clean and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was greeted with a smile when I walked in, even with a couple in front of me. They have a relatively simple menu that was easy to read. I ordered a mango green milk tea with honey boba and mango stars, along with some sweet potato fries. The milk tea was great, with just the right amount of sweetness and I throughly enjoyed my toppings. The sweet potato fries, while hot, left something to be desired. They seemed almost not cooked enough and could use a bit of salt. Over all though, I enjoyed myself and wouldn't mind going back to try out some other teas. I need to add because I just noticed! I love the cup that I received my drink in. It looks reusable.

Roasted Oolong Milk Tea & Passion Fruit Green Tea

Visited at 9pm on a Saturday night and there were a few people hanging out here. I'm a frequent visitor of the SJ location, but this was my first time in the Campbell location. It was a lot cleaner and quieter than the SJ location and I liked the interior decor and Christmas decorations they put up as well. I ordered a passionfruit green tea (50% sweet) and the barista made it on the spot. Parking is difficult to find in downtown Campbell, but there is a free parking garage right behind this building. Definitely a cute place to check out if you're craving boba.

The chicken with that sweet chilli sauce, very great combination. This was a very tasty drink, we will be back for some real milk tea.

Everyone is always so attentive. They can usually have my call in order ready between 5-10 minutes. Love their Thai iced teas.

It was ok, the tea is overly sweet and weak. But if that's what you're into then it's good, but I like a stronger tea

Ask the Community - Breaktime Tea

Do you accept cash?

Yes we do

Hey, I asked this same question at another location of Breaktime Tea and wasn't sure if it varies from site to site, but do they accept cash as payment?

Yes. Car is accepted. Thanks

Do you guys still have rain drop cake on the menu anymore?

Sorry we stopped making raindrop jelly cakes :(

What do you guys use for sweetness in your drinks? I hope not bad stuff like high fructose corn syrup...

Yup they use Fructose Corn Syrup for additional flavors. You be lucky if they use dollar store honey

Is there non dairy milk?

Yes. Most of our milk teas are non dairy by default. We also have soy milk and almond milk as other non dairy options.

Do they serve food yet?

Hot snacks are coming soon, but we’ll be adding delicious desserts as soon as this weekend and more to come.

We got the banana matcha and honeydew latte. The banana matcha was really good and not overly sweet and I like how they put the muddled banana at the bottom it gives it a good texture. The honeydew coffee was really good and gives it a good sweet honeydew flavor coffee. We both got the breakfast sandwich and got a frie and soup on the side. All of the foods were really good. Ask for sauces when you order as they do charge but the sauces are really good too!

Unfortunately…read moreit did not meet my expectations :( I ordered a banana matcha latte with no muddled bananas (texture would have really thrown me off). They use a syrup that was not mixed it, it was settled about half a centimeter at the bottom. The flavor of the banana tasted like a medicinal/chemically banana similar to that of a vintage banana laffy taffy. Matcha quality was decent but for $8, there are much better quality options in the South Bay for the same high price. I also ordered the house margherita pizza, more emphasis on the house rather than the margherita since it was very much their own rendition with arugula, diced tomatoes, and would looked to be shredded cheese. It wasnt bad but also wasn't special. It's moreso caprese pizza sans vinegar, which honestly might be a good addition. The inside is also very cold, and I know it wasn't just me because I heard a couple other tables around me noting the same thing. If you're coming here to work for a while, bring a jacket. Overall, decent but not great for the price you pay.

As a longtime Philz customer, I'm pretty boring and always get the Mint Mojito, light-sweet & creamy with oat milk + a plant powered sandwich. I ordered two drinks, a burrito and a jalapeño bagel. There was 1 person in front of me in line. Waited 20 minutes for my order to be ready. The order was all correct except they gave me an everything bagel instead. Maybe this is my bad for phrasing it this way but I said " I meant to order a jalapeño bagel ". I should have said "this is wrong, I ordered a different bagel." Regardless the woman on the food station looked at me and argumentatively said "well I'll have to talk to my manager about that".... Like okay sure? She proceeds to have (what felt like a 5 min) whisper convo with her manager and when I went over to where they were, they stopped talking. She walked me back over to the register and said "you'll have to order a new bagel and then we'll have to refund you the old one" as if it was a huge ordeal. I complete that with who I assume is the manager who didn't say much to me and then the initial woman puts the bagel on the counter without even looking at me. I said "thank you!" And was completely ignored. 2 things. 1, I worked as a barista in multiple locations including Starbucks. We were always trained to be on the lookout if someone is unsatisfied or an order was wrong. We were trained to remake it and make that situation right. Definitely not make the customer feel like they bothered you in some way. 2, an "I'm so sorry about that!" Or "Thank you for your patience" or "thanks, have a wonderful day!" Goes a long way!! I'd understand if it was crazy busy. Honestly I get it, pleasantries take a back seat when in a rush. However, there was only 1 person in front of me and no one behind. Can't say how the food or drinks are cus I've been too busy writing this down to try it! The 2 stars are for a clean cafe and the folks making the drinks WERE kind. Let's do better Philz.

I've been here a few times, and I honestly don't know why I haven't reviewed this place yet…read more The moment you walk into Manresa Bread, you're greeted right away. The space has a modern yet warm feel with beautiful natural wood finishes, fresh loaves of sourdough lining the shelves, pastries displayed in the case, and a mix of large communal wood tables, regular seating, and high-top tables. It's the kind of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. The staff was friendly and helped us choose both a pastry and our toast. They were also happy to customize our order--we asked for the levain sourdough toast with butter instead of the usual olive oil. That toast was absolutely divine. The sourdough had the perfect balance: chewy without being too sour, with a crust that was crisp but not so hard that it fought back. Easily the best sourdough toast I've had in the Bay Area. If you come here, this is the one thing you have to order. The only disappointment was the butter. They serve French butter, but for an extra $2, the portion was tiny and honestly nothing special. I've had better butter from Whole Foods. It didn't take away from how incredible the bread was, but it wasn't worth the upcharge. Their Kouign-amann is also one of the best I've ever had. Instead of the typical flat, flaky style, theirs is taller with countless buttery layers that create an amazing texture. The cappuccino was another highlight. It had subtle notes of orange peel, whiskey, and cardamom, making it unique. The latte art was beautiful too. Overall, Manresa Bread is one of those cafés that makes you want to sit down with a laptop or a book and spend a few hours there. The only downside is there are no power outlets, so come with a full battery if you're planning to work. Must orders: Levain sourdough toast with butter and the Kouign-amann. Both are worth the trip.
