I found Breaktime Tea on DoorDash and I've ordered from them a few times now. The teas and coffees are tasty, always made quickly and arrive timely, and there's a solid variety of toppings to choose from (the mango stars - yum!). I've tried their potstickers and lobster balls as well. The food always arrives warm and fresh. I didn't much care for the lobster balls due to personal preference in regards to the texture, but the spicy sauce that comes with the "snacks" is amazing and I loved the potstickers! My husband and I used to own a boba shop near SF a couple of years ago. That being said, I'd say my husband is a bit of a boba tea snob. I suppose a nicer way to say it is that he's particular about his boba tea and quite the connoisseur. ;-) He loves the teas and boba from Breaktime (I do too) and we order from there quite often (more than once a week for sure!). My husband loves the black milk tea with boba. I enjoy the earl grey iced tea with bits of fresh fruit (no added sugar-yay!). It's a very cute and clean shop in downtown Campbell. There's lots of street parking. They have a great selection or drinks, savory snacks and other sweet treats. The employees are well trained and are friendly. Stopped by during their soft opening weekend for the Buy 1 Get 1 Free drinks deal and got myself an Oreo Frap and my partner got a Thai Milk tea! The Thai Milk tea was good. The Oreo Frap was lacking a lot of Oreo flavor, it mostly just tasted like chocolate milk (still enjoyed it but the different notes weren't really there) Prices seem average for a place like this and it was good. They are also going to have some snacks on the menu which is still coming soon. I usually don't drink teas or go to places like this, but if they had another deal that's similar I would be back. The tea isn't that great, but the customer service was absolutely terrible. My friend came from out of town to visit, and we really wanted a picture together. Breaktime has been a wonderful, much-needed addition to a downtown area greatly lacking in boba spots (the nearest is Teaspoon at the Pruneyard). Pre-Covid the interior was super cute, so I can see this being a great study spot post-shelter-in-place, especially since there's been a lot more traffic (that I know of) since quarantine started. It used to be pretty empty all the time tbh. Service can be off and on - sometimes the people know exactly what they're doing and sometimes it's a little spotty, but that's not a huge deal, especially in this climate. The drinks are pretty good for the area, but a little pricey (which is understandable considering it's in Downtown Campbell). The boba is usually pretty good. The tea, however, is often a little too bitter for my taste and definitely gives me deep caffeine withdrawals (I'm generally pretty sensitive to caffeine anyway, though - my fam and friends are all fine with the tea here). I do wish there were more options for caffeine-free drinks. I think they have one, but I might be mistaken, which is the Grapefruit Sunrise, and the last time I tried to order it, they were out :/ I haven't tried any of the food options yet! I've been meaning to try the egg waffles, but it definitely seems more like a pair-with-ice cream thing and I prefer them alone. Alone, though, they would be pretty pricey. At the end of the day, this is a solid place I'll probably go to often just out of convenience, since I'm in the area. However, I do think they have room to grow. read more

It's really hard to find a place that makes a good Thai Tea. I know it's a kind of basic drink, and some might roll their eyes at it but if a place can't make a great basic drink what are the odds that they can consistently make great complex drinks? Which is why I always order basic drinks from a place to judge their baseline quality and grasp on flavor. This place has one of the best Thai teas I've had in long long time. Most places seem to over steep or burn their teas resulting in a very bad flavor all around. That wasn't a problem here and my tastebuds were wholeheartedly thankful. The milk tea aspect was fantastic but the toppings, the toppings have been superb so far. Admittedly I've only tried the egg pudding, but it was so fresh and flavorful in a way I haven't really experienced anywhere else. Again the attention to quality and flavor was outstanding. Can I just say how happy I am that there's a boba place in Downtown Campbell now! Breaktime Tea is a clean, aesthetically pleasing spot to catchup with your friends at. I have to give 2 thumbs up to the 2 employees working the counter today. While sitting here, I noticed a lot of customers coming in wanting to get a drink but they weren't too familiar with boba or milk tea. The staff here were patient and kind to educate new customers and offer recommendations. They're also willing to change your drink to make it to your liking if you don't like your first few sips. This review is solely on their blended drinks and popcorn chicken. We decided to stop by since we were in the area and they were still open. Spent a little over $20 including a tip for two blended drinks and the chicken. I ordered the mango peach strawberry blended drink and it was so disappointing. I couldn't taste any of the flavors and is tasted like they used no real fruit. It just tasted like ice, evaporated milk, and minimal syrup. My friend got the pina colada and it tasted like milk. The chicken was rubbery not sure if it was over fried or if it was just the quality of meat. Safe to say I won't be back.
