We stopped by for breakfast and were welcomed by two lovely women. I've rarely felt this welcomed. It was warm and genuine. The coffee was really good! We do not drink our coffees with syrups but the lady mentioned that their syrups are all homemade, which sounded pretty cool! I asked for recommendations on the breakfast sandwiches and was recommended the pesto one, it had ham in it but when I mentioned I didn't eat meat they adapted and substituted it for me. The sandwich was delicious, flavorful, and fresh! We also had a regular egg and cheese on an english muffin and thought it was great! The inside of the coffee shop is super cute and clean. I also thought that it was priced really well! Felt like it was worth every penny which is really rare these days. We will definitely be back when in the area. read more

Came here for a quiet place to study. There are parking lots located nearby with free two parking. I ordered a flat bread from the friendly owner of the café. She hand-delivered it to my table which was very nice of her. The flatbread was served with fresh mozzarella cheese, slices of tomato and bacon bits on top. The pesto and cheese made the bread a little oily/wet as it had seeped through to the bottom of the box. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and was a fair price of $10 for essentially a personal sized pizza. Overall, good food, fair prices, and friendly staff. Will come again. read more

Stopped by this cute shop needing a dose of caffeine after a long flight and fighting jet lag. The service was amazing and being from out of town the baristas were so kind to tell me what was in every beverage. Ended up ordering the Nutty Bee after they told me they make all their syrups in house. The beverage wasn't too sweet and really enjoyed the nutty flavor that came through What really impressed me was how friendly the shop owner was with all the customers and how she treats her employees. The food and coffee here is so fresh and reasonably priced. I came in to get some work done on their WiFi and got a wrap and iced coffee. Service is outstanding, and very friendly. I'm a sucker for a good little cafe so, having the day off from work, I set out to find my new favorite and Breaking Grounds is definitely a contender. The person who helped me was so friendly and happy to make suggestions and provide more info. I ultimately decided on an iced nutty bee, their signature drink. It's a little bit on the sweet side but I love the tasty almond flavor and could definitely cozy up with a hot cup once it gets cooler out. They also have a pretty solid breakfast and lunch menu with classic faves for everyone. You can even call ahead if you're on the run. It looks like they also host events, from private parties to art shows, which I'm excited about. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out to attend. If you're just looking to hang out with friends, they also have a number of game boards and comfy seating. Overall, it's a pretty casual spot with a lot to offer. read more

Came here on the way out of Massachusetts and was not disappointed. Lattes are beyond good, best one i've ever had. The burrito special is heavenly and the caprese* sandwich was also so yum. I was excited to see that they had Vietnamese coffee and not only that, but they spelt it in vietnamese, so it must be good and taste authentic, right? Wrong. Nothing like viet coffee, the description is correct. But it didn't taste like condense milk, or the type of coffee they used wasn't bold enough. Well, the coffee didn't taste that great overrall. Chose this coffee shop on a whim while leaving Salem for the weekend. It was the best meal we had while in MA. The pumpkin latte was fresh, homemade, and tasted just like pumpkin pie which is what I always want pumpkin coffee to taste like. Stopped in Saturday morning for the first time. Great selection and we both got a Nutty Bee. Ordered mine with almond milk. He asked if it was preference or dietary. Didn't charge extra since I'm lactase intolerant. How nice is that. Steady stream of customers. Nice little café in my neighborhood. The shop is colorful, staff pleasant, and has a artistic/comfortable feel with the basic handmade stools, benches, and tables. This place has board games, and feels like a hangout. It was nice to get a real macchiato, bold and delicious. I cracked up when the guy started explaining it to me, that it wasn't the same that you get at Dunkin Donuts. I can see why he needs to explain that though. I had such an enjoyable first experience here! My first time ever in a coffee shop believe it or not! But now all the kiddos are in daycare/school so I said why not? Was a little nervous about parking because it is on main st and I hate parallel meter parking. But surprisingly ample spots available at 9am! I was greeted by Michael who was very helpful and although they dont carry caramel flavor, opted I try Nutty Bee. Almond flavor with honey. So that was my hot latte with a pumpkin scone. DELICIOUS! Cute small cafe with off street parking. We have ordered the two lattes recommended by the staff and it was pretty good and unique (nutty bee- almond honey latte, funky monkey- banana mocha latte). Every single one of the staffs were super friendly with a smile on their face at all times. The staff also check in with us once in a while to see if we need anything. Stayed for 2 hours and one of the staff was constantly mopping the floor, cleaning the tables, and utensils to keep the place nice and clean. read more

A friend and I were looking for an afternoon pick me up in the area and consulted Yelp. Reviews led us here for coffee and something sweet. My friend ordered a regular hot americano and me, a decaf coffee. I was asked if a decaf americano would suffice and not knowing how it would be different or the same, I said "yes". The barista happily offered to replace it if I didn't like it. You add condiments on your own. My decaf americano was excellent! I usually take it with half and half or cream and always with some sugar to take the bitterness out but I didn't need any sugar at all as it was so smooth. We shared an oatmeal cookie and my friend asked if it could be microwaved and the barista kindly offered to put it in the oven. The americano's were quick to be made and served and the cookie was delivered to our table outside. My friend commented that the cookie didn't really taste like an oatmeal cookie and I concurred. Good but expected more based on the vibe of the coffee shop. 5 stars for the coffee 5 stars for friendliness 3 stars for the cookie 3 stars for the ambiance Would stop in again for the coffee if we're in the area again! read more

Courtney was also so friendly and sweet and made sure to check in and see how we were doing, as well as ask for our names and make us feel at home.
