We went on a recommendation, I was craving Menudo and they did not disappoint!! It was absolutely perfect, Husband got the Chorizo Burro, (he's picky about Chorizo) he loved it!! Staff was really friendly. We will definitely be back, there is more things on the menu I want to try!! read more

Best breakfast in town. I have never left this establishment without a smile on my face. The food is great. The coffee is good. Your cup is never less than half full. The manager Kim knows what the hell she is doing. Please go to The Breakfast Stop. You will be more than satisfied. read more

Breakfast stop is a good place to grab a decent breakfast. We were satisfied on what we had. The only thing I can critic is that they need to upgrade their tortillas. The tortillas became cold and hard where we couldn't use them anymore with our meal. Other then that I would go back to this place in the future. read more

Hashbrowns were amazing! Everything else was a little blah and the large open room resonated quite a bit of noise. Might be back if the mood strikes. read more

I stopped in this morning because it is super close to my house, and the reviews were mostly good. On the minus side - no one acknowledged me when I walked in and was just standing there. There wasn't a "seat yourself" sign. I would have just gone to a table bit the empty ones hadn't been cleared. About 7 empty tables waiting to be cleaned. When I was able to get the attention of a waitress, she was super nice and told me to sit anywhere and they'd get it cleaned. Sure enough, I did and they did. The waiter was prompt, the coffee was very good for me (I'm picky and don't appreciate super strong, this was just right for me!). I had a double spinach and mushroom omelette with cheddar and biscuits and gravy (I could have had a meat choice but declined). Very delicious! Not fancy or frivolous, but tasted good! I was there about 9:45, and they were busy. Not slammed, but things were moving. I was just about to have to ask for more coffee when the waiter came over with fresh. Perfect timing :-). My bill was $11 plus tax and I was out by 10:30-ish. Had someone made eye contact with me and not left me standing awkwardly for as long as I did, I would have been happier. It is a breakfast joint - you can tell there are regulars, and I'll definitely plan to come back. As others have said - it is a good place for fast, normal and easy breakfast. They serve lunch until 2... Will have to check lunch out later. I didn't use the restroom, which is how I judge a lot of places for cleanliness... The dining area was reasonably clean. My table wasn't sticky and my cutlery, water glass and coffee mug were clean. read more

Food is good and reasonably priced. Can eat breakfast for under $6. I do have a concern for anyone who is in a wheelchair that needs to use the ramp. There is only one and if there are cars parked on both sides, you will probably be unable to utilize it. Not sure who came up with the way this is built, but was not thought thru thoroughly!!! Might even be reportable to the disability department. read more

We started coming to the Breakfast Stop shortly after it first opened in 2015. We continue to make this a priority every time we are in Tucson. The staff is amazing, the food is always great, the prices are great, and the place is always clean. If you want a great, filling meal at a great price, come to the Breakfast Stop. read more

22nd Street just West of Wilmot is the actual location. They are now open for dinner. There are specials on white boards, breakfast on the West wall and lunch on the East wall. The food and service were good, I'll be back. read more

Great new find for breakfast! I had the steak ranchero and my husband ordered eggs la Mexicana. Both were delicious with generous portions. Cheerful fast service too. My only complaint I wish they offered a lil more Mexican with the American . Example carnitas with breakfast or enchiladas. The tortillas were dynamite!! read more

Place really doesn't have any decor and feels very empty. The staff was somewhat nice hut very hurried. My daughter got the French toast and liked it. The hash browns were good though you had to buy them separate, no combo offered. The bathrooms are outside behind the restaurant, kinda sketchy feel. My fried fish was okay but I would not eat it again. All and all, I don't think we'll return. The prices were good if you are looking for a cheaper place to eat. Maybe if we had ordered different items we would have liked it better. read more

Friendly staff and propmt service. My coffee was never empty. The food was great, servings were generous, price were also reasonable. We ordered egg benidects with the side of gritts; also got biscuit and gravy with sausages and a side of two pancakes. The dining area was dark and untidy and for that I gave it 3 stars. read more

Love the food and service here. The prices are great, large portions, and everything is absolutely delicious!!! My husband and I had breakfast here yesterday and each got 2 specials, and coffee. The bill was still under $20! When you go, make sure to try their cinnamon rolls! They are huge and amazing!!! read more

Just a little hole in the wall for an inexpensive breakfast. It's hard to make bad eggs! The pancakes did not meet my expectations but the rest was fine. This is not gourmet! Reasonably priced and speedy service. If you're on the go and need a quick bite to eat, stop here. read more

Great food. Found the Breakfast Stop on Yelp and I'm glad I did. This is exactly the hole-in-the-wall place that I'm always looking for. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Ate here for the first time this morning. Food is clean, fast and solid. Atmosphere is clean, fast and friendly. Prices are cheap, cheap and cheap. I had 2 eggs, toast, hash browns, bacon and OJ for just over $5 before tip. All in, it was cheaper than greasy Burger King breakfast down the street. read more

It's not much to look at from the outside with your standard kind of breakfast plates: eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns with a few Mexican twists thrown in. My chorizo and eggs came with a side of salsa (I do appreciate not being charged extra for this) and a tortilla. I asked if I could substitute the beans with hash-browns... no problem8. My wife's sausage and eggs with hash-browns was your standard stuff. I am mystified by breakfast places that are chintzy with potatoes. They're cheaper than most other breakfast ingredients and fill you up. That, however, is not the case here. There's no empty spaces on the plate when it's set in front of you. Portions are generous. I saw someone order the biscuits and gravy and the portion size scared me away from ordering it. Service was a little scattered, but the place was busy, so I guess I can give them a pass on that. I would love to be able to rate them higher, but it simply met my expectations for breakfast and nothing really blew me away. Everything was well-priced, plain, simple, bland breakfast food that required use of the salt shaker at the table. That's what I expect from this kind of place and that's exactly what I got. read more

Food was fine, and our server was excellent. The portions were plentiful. The ambiance was average. The place was packed. read more

Good place for a quick breakfast, with plenty of options for a more "mexican style" breakfast. I ordered a very simple eggs, hash browns, bacon, toast, and biscuit and gravy. I really enjoyed the food and quick service. It was clean as well. The reason it isn't 5 stars is because the basic breakfast was fresh tasting, but not too much unique flavor. I would recommend and return in the future. read more

Breakfast Stop in Tucson, AZ on 22nd Street has been one of our favorites for a year and a half for breakfast and lunch, but now it is our favorite restaurant for delicious Mexican food at dinner (4-9 pm M-Sat). Stop by and see for yourself....from the frijoles to the carne asada to the fresh salsa and tortillas it is yummy and very reasonably priced!!! You won't be disappointed. The green corn tamales are some of the best we have ever eaten and we were born and raised in Tucson. All the waitresses/waiters go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It is truly a pleasure to eat at The Breakfast Stop. read more

I'm not saying this place is bad by any means, but it is definitely a surprise to me that this was on the "hot list" when I bookmarked it as a place I needed to come to. The burrito I had was good enough but was seemingly priced to meet a market price point and not the true worth of the food I ordered or of the dining experience one would expect. Perhaps there are some better priced or better tasting options, but I'm finding it hard to justify returning when I know there are better places out there that aren't as far away from me. read more

Staff were awesome. They were all smiling and having great interactions with all the customers in the store. Food was delicious and CHEAP! I'm use to paying close to if not more than $20 (not including tip) for just my son and I to eat at IHOP, Denny's, etc. My bill was under $15 and that's with tipping 20%. If you have a chance I would definitely STOP by. I will definitely be coming back. read more

Breakfast Stop - Simple pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hash browns..........deliciousness! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Looks like a regular breakfast restaurant however it was so much more greatness than the food! I really like eating here because the food is good, the people, service and definitely conversations I had with the people there! I would recommend this place to my friends and family but you have to be quick because it does get busy there. It is all worth they wait and it's my regular place I love going to! read more

Get the biscuits and gravy deluxe! I've had it with both bacon and sausage, I think the sausage just barely beats out the bacon version. Nice family run place with great food and portions read more

One of the best breakfast spots we've eaten at here in Tucson. In our opinion, definitely better than Jerry Bob's and Bread and butter. This spot is nice, clean, and the food is affordable. Ok! I don't even know where to begin. For one thing, this is Tucson, AZ. NEWLY recognized as one of the go to cities for food in the entire country! We also boast a bounty of fantastic brunch/breakfast spots! I've now found a new favorite. Breakfast Stop is located on 22nd just west of Wilmot. There are at least five top notch breakfast restaurants within a mile of this place. I went for my first time today and was absolutely blown away! It is the day after Christmas and we kind of assumed places might be a little busy today, but this place was PACKED! It's a rather small lil joint and it was running like a well-oiled machine. Lots of very happy regulars and everything looked great. What had drawn me here was the fact that they offer a full breakfast menu, but with some Mexican influences. My wife had a traditional eggs, sausage, potato n toast meal and I opted with the Chilaquiles. Hers was great....mine was amazing!!!! What really took the whole experience waaaay over the top was our server, Kim. She not only had her game together...but she did all sorts of extra lil things to make us feel like we had been coming there for years. Most importantly, when I was ordering my meal, she noticed I was interested in the Mexican side of the menu, she bragged about their menudo and birria. I am a huge soup fan and had already planned to order some birria to take home when she comes out to our table with some for us to sample!!! I mean who does that???!! And it was incredibly tasty! For those not familiar w Birria, it's basically a shredded beef soup in a chili broth. Even our sample came with a side of onions, cilantro, lime, and two little cups of different chili sauces! So freakin fantastic I can't even explain! Even if it weren't just a couple blocks down the road from our home, I'd make the trip to return here on a regular basis. But since it IS right down the street...I will most likely go there more than once a week! Thanks Breakfast Stop and a huge thank you to KIM!!! WE WILL SEE YOU SOON! read more

First and last time here. I guess u have to sit at the table to be provided with acceptable service. I had to search out some one out to place my order. I had to get out my seat at the counter to have my coffee cup refilled. I should've have gone to the Bread and Butter restaurant a couple of miles west on 22nd street where the service is always great and and the food and prices much better, which was my original destination before seeing this place. Live and learn. read more

Today I was very dissatisfied with the service my friend and I have been comming here for about 7 month now and eating here once a week order the same thing and today was told the piece of ham that was put on my plate was a large one I didn't order a large was told they would have to charge us for coffee to change the difference so when ordering off the stop menu make sure the waitress no's what she is doing I all so have a family so don't feed you costumers that crap. other wise food good but this one waitress should find another job . Thanks read more

We found this place while looking for a good breakfast place. Servers very nice and cheerful. Our food was served quickly and was very good. I had an omellete and my brother had the Mex eggs with rice and beans. The portions were generous and the price very reasonable. I'm glad I found this little spot and I will definitely come again. I recommend it if your looking for hole-in-the-wall place to relax and have a quick bite to eat. read more

I pretty much eat here every week and love the American breakfast. The Mexican food is amazing too! Looking forward to trying more dishes.

This place is really good. Fast service and good price. Mexican and American options which is nice to have the option. I'm hesitant to try anything on this side of town but I was pleasantly surprised. read more

Been here for both breakfast and dinner. Large breakfast menu, everything we've tried has been good so far. Nothing exotic, just your basic breakfast meats, eggs, spuds and pancakes. Diner has a little more variety - sandwiches and fries plus a surprisingly large Mexican menu. Pepsi products, no bar on site. Medium sized dining room with both tables and booths. Wait staff is cheerful. read more

Love this place. It is absolutely my consistently favorite place to have breakfast in Tucson. I usually have the more traditional American breakfasts here (which are the best in Tucson), but their Mexican breakfasts are amazing as well. Try the huevos rancheros. The entire staff has been together for years, and everyone is amazing. read more

I'd heard a lot of nice things about this place, so hubs and I decided to give it a try. The only word that comes to mind is boring. No problems with cleanliness or service (our server visited with the regulars, but not to the point of ignoring other guests, so we found her attentive and nice) and nothing was "wrong" with anything, so I have no actual "complaints" per se. Maybe it was an off day, or we happened to order the things they don't do well, but my omelette was nothing special, and hubs' chicken-fried steak had bland gravy. As we left, we said to each other, "Well, at least now we know." read more

The owner is not friendly and definitely needs a lesson in customer service. A dining experience is complete with friendly wait staff and good food. I will say the food I have tried has been very good. Everyone else seems friendly but if you are unlucky enough to get the owner who is a shorter Hispanic girl-be prepared for poor service, unpleasant attitude, and having to ask for refills, parts of your meal, etc. If you are ok with that then have it a go. read more

This is my favorite breakfast restaurant to go to food always delicious staff always friendly and attentive.nice family friendly environment

This a great place to take the family for a well rounded traditional Mexican or American breakfast. The wait staff was friendly and flexible if you wanted to lift your order. It's not fancy but it's homey, quaint and locally owned. We sat at the breakfast bar and watched the orders come out. We had chorizo and egg and chilaquiles which were very good. They gave a great portion size and most of the meals were under $10. Someone next to us had the steak and eggs which looked great. I would definitely go back again. read more

I love this place been here half a million times. Great food ,prices, and service. If your a whiny little girl like the few people that did bad reviews then go to your expensive breakfast place. Its a family owned restaurant so its not an incredible building but its very cozy and fun. I Love it. read more
