After shopping for some baked goods At San Remo, we decided to check out this cute breakfast place few doors. Inside the decor is fresh, contemporary and clean. The service is exceptionally friendly and efficient. In terms of food, they've got a variety of breakfast choices, whether it be a classic eggs, waffles or eggs Benedict, they've got it all and priced reasonably. I hate leaving a bad review. I really wanted to like this place, and unlike some of the other reviewers, I gave them a fair shot and ate here several times before giving up on them. It's a nice enough place, clean and cheery. When it opened I had high hopes of becoming a regular, and having the the waitstaff know our order and give us a friendly "Norm!" kinda greeting! That was not in the cards. The food is sub-par, and I can even forgive that for the most part, but it's breakfast...and they're called The Breakfast Room...you should be able to make an egg. I too had also wanted to go there for a school day, birthday breakfast (like another reviewer), and got waylaid by their loose schedule. They really don't care what time they open. I've happened upon closed doors more than once, when they should have been open. Today was the final straw. I only went in because I was picking up some items next door. I knew the food was not great, so I ordered the simplest thing I could think of, thinking "how could they screw it up?". The scrambled eggs came out like a greasy over-fried egg pancake they had chopped into bite size pieces to look "scrambled". They were inedible. When the waitress picked up my plate, with all but a mouthful of egg still on it, she made no comment nor asked if there was a problem. I took a photo to show my hubby because I was in disbelief. Tried the room special omelette with rye and it was fantastic! I'm not a huge egg person so breakfast joints are not my fav but this one just had such a good mix of veg n turkey bacon I couldn't help. It was a solid 4/5. My partner got standard 3 egg n bacon and loved it. They'll let you sub toast for tomatoe slices so that was a bonus for him ( not a fan of toast.. weirdo) Also want to mention the interior is super bright n cute ! read more

They waited about 40 minutes before accepting our order and the lady who answered the phone said it was already accepted and it was just a technology issue on our end (after we heard her telling the kitchen to accept our order and start on it immediately in the background). Upon our food arriving over an hour later, the bread was soggy and nothing was edible except for the bacon and sausage. Eggs and home fries tasted like dish washing detergent and nothing was salted. We did get our money refunded, but it was definitely not worth the wait and the food was terrible. We paid $6.50 for a side of bacon with 6 strips... We had to chase the waitress to get our drinks refilled. The eggs on the eggs benedict were disappointingly poached firm. All the poached eggs in our group came out with firm yolk - I don't know if this is intentional, but if this is they'd do well to put a note in their menu. The presentation of the homefries scattered across the remainder of the plate left something to be desired. I also beg to differ with the reviewer who said that the portion sizes were good. My friend enjoyed the salmon na'an, but commented that it fell apart far too easily. It can be difficult to find a parking spot on the main street in front. This place looks non inviting from outside but you step in and you're transformed. It's clean and reminds me of a family diner. A nice place to have brunch on a Sunday. It was not too busy on a Saturday morning. The waitress seated us immediately. The price is good for a classic breakfast. The classic breakfast was exactly what I had. Two well down eggs and toast. Have dined here before and the food is fine, but they have made it clear to me that they do not care about their customers, so I won't be going back. Tried to bring my daughter here for a birthday breakfast before school. Checked their website for their hours, and arrived at 7am when they said they opened. I waited until 7:10 - still no one was inside. We couldn't wait any longer, so we had to scramble to make other arrangements and as a result of the time, we had to cut our breakfast short. Restaurants should open when they say they will, but not the end of the world, assuming they would listen to feedback. They didn't. I emailed the restaurant to express my disappointment, and when I didn't hear back in a week, I emailed again. I still don't have a response. It's pretty clear to me that the owners of this establishment aren't interested in their customers, so I'm done. Won't be going back. read more

A new find for me, been here twice in a week. The service is great, prices are reasonable, and this place just has such a great vibe. Also good bottomless coffee! I live for that. It's always got people inside but never packed. It's super clean and I dig the interior, Not sure how to describe it, except Trendy, comfortable, and chill. OK. So I was super excited to see a new breakfast place open in my hood. Went to the Breakfast Room with my partner this past Saturday for the first time. The place is super cute on the interior...and that is where the good ends. No one came to seat us at the front, someone just waved from the back kitchen area at the front table. (They were NOT busy) The waitress when she finally showed up and acted extremely disinterested, and had to come back to ask about our order again. Got our beverages.....and then waited approximately 30 minutes to get the food, which would not have been so bad if the food had been cooked properly. When someone asks for over-easy eggs you expect over-easy, which mine were not. my partner asked for scrambled soft but instead got eggs that were cooked so long that it just crumbled on his plate. The homefries were not really grilled, but rather boiled and bland.Got a single cup of coffee and the waitress never came back until the end of our meal to ask if I needed another. No butter was served with my pancakes....and she never came back for me to ask for it. So, to sum this up: Sub-par service,and sub-par food quality equals a no-go for me. read more

Going forward, the owners need to remove the word "fast" from the restaurant name if they are going to continue to use food delivery services, because service has plummeted since we first started going here. I really used to like this place - the food was always good and the service just fine, even when busy. On a recent visit, the place was busy as usual, and while I understand that this can cause some delays, a table of two should not have to wait for 50 minutes to receive breakfast, especially when the entire time, breakfast delivery drivers were coming and going with great speed and frequency while the restaurant patrons had to sit and wait.... and wait... and wait.... for their orders to be made. If this is how the owners want to run their business going forward, it's highly doubtful that we will ever return. read more

We had the worst experience here. Our server completely neglected us. (We were her third table and last table to leave.) She was extremly rude when we politely told her our order was wrong. As we were still eating it, she grabbed my partner's food from under his fork and left for about 19 minutes no check in or to tell us the status on why she took his food so abruptly. The she comes back with a tiny plate of half my partners breakfast on it (I am long done mine by now) and says to him the potatoes will be a awhile. Then buzzes off again. When we asked for the check and for our food to be packed up as we had to leave. She packs o ly the eggs and bacon up. Not his potatoes which we had been waiting from. Drips our change on the table then runs behind the counter and hides. I've tried to contact these people on three occasions about out service and they keep ignoring me. They obviously dont care about their service or reputation. They made us pay full price for half a breakfast. I do not recommend this place to anyone who wants fair service. read more

DO NOT order online here. It has been more than two hours since we placed our order. We have a confirmation number for our order and were told by JustEat that we would be receiving our food in five minutes from calling and it has been another 40 since then. BreakFast Room claims they did not receive our order and that it didn't go through to them from JustEat. We have a confirmation number as mentioned and a supposed delivery time. Rather then offering to help or offering us anything, they told us to call JustEat. Once again, do not online order here. read more

I was glad to see a clean looking restaurant finally open a few blocks from our house. We've been twice now. Both times I've had a sandwich, not a breakfast meal. Was there on Friday service is lacking. The server is argumentative and they are over priced for the quality of food they serve. I payed 50 dollars for two breakfasts because apparently you have to pay extra for whip cream and something the called strawberry compote. When really it was frozen strawberries boiled in sugar water that soaked the waffle and turned it to mush. The scrambled eggs where so over over cooked they were like eating rubber. When my friend questioned why the waffles didn't come with whip cream and strawberries like they do with almost every other breakfast place. The waitress argued and said it was a meat waffle if she wanted that she should have ordered the regular waffle. Pointing rudely at the menu. 13 dollars ? For two strips of bacon one waffle and overcooked eggs. Then another 2.50 for whip cram and 2,50 for the strawberry water. When I looked at the menu it would have been cheaper to order these things a la carte since the normal waffle comes with these extra items. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Tried this place out for the first time for brunch on a Sunday, and was a fan of the food and the environment. It was very clean and trendy, and the food was delicious. However the service made the experience terrible. When we first walked in it was not busy at all, and instead of coming over to seat us, the waitresses (who were standing behind the counter at the and not doing anything) yelled from the back of the restaurant for us to seat ourselves. After a few minutes she walked over to take our orders. There was only two other people in the restaurant, and it was only after 30 minutes that the waitress came back over to check on our food, when she realized that we still did not have any. At that point she went back to talk to the cooks and it seemed that only then did they start making our food. When our food was finally brought to us it was hot and tasted good, however not once did anyone check on us and if we needed anything. In order to ask for a glass of water I had to shout at the waitress as she walked past ignoring us. The waitresses were sitting in the booths behind us on their phones, talking, laughing, eating and completely ignoring us, as at this point we were the only patrons in the restaurant.
