    Chilaquiles
    Garen A.

Eclectic, and cool! The ketchup-style sauce (their words, not mine) was popular with my family. I really liked the chilaquiles... still crunchy when it came out annnnnnd very good sauce on it. Overall a good breakfast stop with nice portions for a decent price! Would recommend! Stay Cheerful

Great place to have brunch with friends from the friendly service and it easy to find , a tip on parking if you are not there early you will have to park further on the other side for parking but it shared with a shopping center so you get what you get . Food A nice size portions . my favorite is the processco mimosa with guava . Or yeah food huh, duh . If you like to try things this lovely skillet meal was the shrimp frittata.. that's just me being greedy and coffee cake is a twist but delightful ... Eat up peeps

We've been to almost all of the Breakfast republics and this one did not disappoint. Great location with ample parking which, if you've been to any Breakfast Republic you know can be challenging. It was clean, staff was so welcoming and friendly. The food and drinks were amazing. I tried the breakfast republic latte and it was amazing. My upgraded potatoes were so yummy as well as everything else. Great spot and we will be back for sure

The flight and the BR Sammie

This has become one of my new favorite spots. I was the first time and didn't know what to order so I decided to do the flight so I could pick three different pancakes or French toast. They did not have waffles. I then decided to get something more than the sweets and decided to go with the BR Sammy. From first glance, even with the hole over the egg was such a delight, but when i took that first bite i was in heaven !!

    Start the day after Labcorp!

Our first back breakfast back in Carlsbad or Encinitas, we were hungry because we had to fast all morning before LabCorp. Jose was a very good server, the only reason for the four stars was, I thought that all the food was just a tad undercooked. My wife had eggs Benedict and I thought the English muffins were as soft as I've ever felt. My pancakes, acceptable pretty nice taste but the sausage that I ordered on the side was truly uneditable. Jose was nice enough to take it off the bill and to take it back. Latte and coffee just what we needed. Parking, easy and a nice big lot, interior lots of tables maybe just because it was a Thursday after breakfast. Good place to try if you haven't gone I just wouldn't order the maple sausage.

Perfect place for a quick brunch date. The vibe is easy and the service was fast and friendly. Is the food out of this world? No, but it's good food at a semi affordable price and there is something for everyone! Went here with my teen son and he was very happy!

One of my most enjoyed breakfasts EVER! Food expertly prepared, hot and delicious. We had shrimp&grits with eggs and breakfast jambalaya. Definitely recommend. Elizabeth was enjoyable, professional and kept the coffee de olla flowing it was a fun new coffee experience, also a must try. 5 star environment, food and service all the way.

Food: My husband and I came for breakfast on 11/27/2025, yes, open on a Holiday! My husband ordered an omelet dish with sausage and an espresso drink. I ordered a spicy blood Mary (so good!, plus coffee,) and the jurassic Benedict breakfast with upgraded potatoes with Brussels & bacon, which is one of my favorite. Very flavorful. Service: It was Ok, Laura was very professional and friendly. She did come over to see if things tasted good but I had just taken a drink and my husband said everything was good. Ambiance: Fun and modern. Noteworthy: My husband's hot espresso drink was cold, like it had been sitting around for an hour, we flagged Laura over for a new one. My breakfast was lukewarm, the upgraded potatoes and eggs, I HATE when it's lukewarm & its not the first time, I keep forgetting to tell them I want it hot, I dont think I should have to say it but I do like coming here. I want to see steam rising from my food, lol I didn't want to complain after the cold espresso, so I ate some and saved some to heat up at home because it is flavorful. My husband's food was hot, so I imagine mine was ready first and his was freshly served hot while mine cooled off.

Great brunch spot but busy. Definitely recommend a reservation if you can. Lattes are really good.

Everything was good! I got the Portuguese Linguisa Sausage scramble, it was really delicious with the potatoes & brussel sprouts. My bf got the American breakfast and he devoured it in 5 minutes. What really stood out for me was the orange juice that was freshly squeezed. It was really good and sweet! Even the jam for the bread was to die for. Overall, it was a nice breakfast. Good price, good service, and high quality food.

Ughh... I wish I liked this place, only came back because a friend picked it. I only ate the food because I was so so hungry, The California breakfast burrito on their menu lists "skirt steak" as the first ingredient and maybe every 5 bites I got a piece of steak. Some of the potatoes were raw inside. The rice still had a bay leaf in it and the rice was day old rice that held together cause it was in a container of some sort. It was not good I wish it was good but things here seem to just miss the mark for me, I still ate the food because I hate to complain and my friend invited me out to breakfast so I didn't want to be rude. People I know seem to love it but my experiences here have been just okay unfortunately. The coffee machine needs to be cleaned because the coffee was so bitter My first California breakfast burrito ever and it wasn't flavorful all that, nothing has any depth of flavor here. It just is what it is. Rice takes 30 minutes to make just make it fresh and don't serve people the bay leaf and not break up the rice. It was lazy, and the service is lack luster Ambiance is the only okay thing about this spot and the bathrooms are dirty, and the serving plates' paint was chipping so I don't think that's a good thing for consumption I know I said I wouldn't come back last time but this time I really mean it. Sorry

I noticed that their ketchup has corn syrup. Do their menu items have corn syrup?

Their ketchup might have been homemade before, but I doubt it is anymore. We were there just last week and noticed the long list of ingredients on the back of the bottle. Corn syrup is definitely in there now. I don't know if their other menu items…

Do they have a kids menu?

We do not have a specified kids menu, however we do offer side. We also off single pancakes or single slice of french toast. Hope this answers your question,

When does the Carlsbad location open ? Been waiting ... and waiting.. and waiting ...

I asked last weekend and they let us know that construction has been halted for now. There were several issues with permits since the building is under construction. They're potentially looking for another location, but for now everything is on…

Is it closed for good already or? I've recently noticed boarded up windows.

No. They are getting new windows put in and are open during construction.

Do they allow dogs on the patio?

I've def seen dogs on the patio yes!!!

    Do they take reservations?

Unfortunately we're on a first come first serve basis and don't accept reservations.

It mixes industrial and classic touches with cozy leather booths, stylish décor, and an open, lively energy that still feels relaxed. It's polished enough for a special occasion but comfortable enough to linger over one more coffee, think business casual vibes. If the weather's nice, the patio is a great option too. The real MVP was our server, Katelynn. She handled all 8 of us by herself the entire time and never missed a beat. Our drinks were always fresh, and she stayed a step ahead of the table. Great solo performance. I split two entrées with my bro, which I highly recommend if you can't decide: California Burrito: Very savory, with creative sauces that set it apart from the usual breakfast burrito. Eggs Benedict: Well put together with quality ingredients. It's a classic done right. Potatoes: Fresh and delicious. I don't normally care for breakfast potatoes, and these still won me over. We left full, happy, and already planning a return trip. Bonus: The Forum Carlsbad shops are right nearby if you want to walk it off afterward, which we did. Cheers!

Fun Fact: "Manna" means an unexpected blessing, especially in a time of need! Atelier Manna was…read morecreated by Michelin-rated Chef Andrew Bachelier and his wife Larah as a creative workshop where food, art, wellness and community all come together. - Located in Leucadia, Atelier Manna is definitely not your typical brunch spot. It feels part restaurant, part art studio, part wellness experiment, and I mean that in the best way. The space is intimate and eclectic, with cookbooks, ceramics, artwork, salvaged materials and little pieces collected from the owners' travels throughout the space. You can tell there was a lot of thought put into making it feel personal rather than overly polished. Parking is do-able across the street by train , or on the street or surrounding neighborhoods. Best time to come when its not busy is W or TH morning! And then there's the food. We started with the Turkish eggs, soft poached eggs sitting over herbed yogurt, chili garlic butter and herbs with toast. The combination of the cool, tangy yogurt with the garlicky, slightly spicy butter was SO good. The toast is basically mandatory because you're going to want to swipe up every last bit of that sauce. P.S. dish comes with two eggs but you can order an extra egg if you have more people. The steak & tortilla was another standout. Snake River Farms zabuton steak with Spanish tortilla, black garlic romesco and Jimmy Nardello peppers. The steak was tender and cooked beautifully, but what really made the dish for me was the black garlic romesco. Rich, savory and slightly sweet, it tied everything together. And then came the torrija, Spanish-style French toast. This is not your basic brunch French toast. It's made with thick-cut sourdough, saffron vanilla, peach leaf oil, stone fruit and whipped labneh. The outside had that delicious caramelized/crispy texture while the inside was soft and custardy. The labneh was also such a good addition because it gave the dish a little tang to balance out the sweetness. Definitely a dish I'd order again. But we can't forget the drinks because Atelier Manna takes their non-alcoholic beverage program VERY seriously. Their "vitality tonics" are basically zero-proof cocktails with a wellness twist, and they are way more interesting than your standard juice or mocktail. I got the Mentawai: coconut, cold-infused green tea, lime leaf, pandan and astragalus, force carbonated. Light, refreshing and slightly tropical with enough acidity to keep it from tasting like straight coconut water. My friend got the Goldenrod, made with clarified cucumber, turmeric, honey and long pepper. Very refreshing and earthy with a little sweetness. Another friend went with the cold brew, which was smooth and fruity with a creamy body. I really appreciated that the drinks weren't just an afterthought. They actually felt like part of the experience. Overall, Atelier Manna is one of those places where you can tell the people behind it genuinely care about the details. The menu is creative without feeling like it's trying too hard, the space is unique and inviting, and the food manages to be indulgent while still incorporating a lot of fresh, thoughtful ingredients. Definitely a brunch spot worth the drive up to Leucadia, especially if you want something a little different from the usual eggs + mimosa situation.

We ordered the southern fried chicken benny, short rib benny, smoked brisket hash, breakfast sammy, and the Skinny Jane (my order since I was attempting to be healthy). I got the Skinny Jane with scrambled eggs, sausage, and fruit. So delicious and filling! My friends thoroughly enjoyed their meals and we had no leftovers at all. It sounds like Toasted gets mixed reviews, but I liked it and recommend others try it out for themselves!

As usual, Toasted Del Mar gets the fundamentals right. The atmosphere and ambience are excellent,…read morethe waitstaff is professional and personable, and the kitchen is consistently quick and efficient. This is a place I've visited several times, and normally I leave extremely impressed. Unfortunately, this visit was slightly different. We ordered the Crispy Chicken & Waffles and the Classic French Omelet. Everything was cooked properly and presented well, but both dishes were surprisingly bland. There simply wasn't enough seasoning or flavor to make either dish particularly memorable. For a restaurant that usually delivers much more, this felt unusually flat. I was also surprised by the portion sizes. I've previously been very happy with the generous portions at Toasted, but both of these dishes felt noticeably smaller than expected. To be clear, nothing was poorly cooked. The problem was execution from a flavor and value perspective. When you have good ingredients and everything is technically cooked correctly, but the finished plate still tastes under-seasoned and leaves you wanting more, something has been missed. This was easily our least impressive visit to Toasted. Every other time has been excellent, so I'm inclined to chalk this one up to these particular menu items rather than the restaurant as a whole.

Its a very cute and charming patio and seating areas inside and out, and was lively. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the ambience as we found it very bland, re-heated type. Service was good, but couldn't figure out why food was so off and tasteless. The Birria Eggrolls sounded divine but had that reheated vibe and texture. Was very underwhelming in terms of taste and crispness. Meat and cheese looked like it was faded/left out after cooked or reheated. We then split a seafood enchilada plate and it was completely devoid of any taste; barely any seafood in it, just 2 heavy thick smelly corn tortillas, the rubbery kind that's served at Rubios locations (are they still in business?) I love me some corn tortillas, but not these rubber mat-thick ones, the light fluffy corn ones. $40 hefty price tag wasn't close to delivering on any point value or taste wise. We asked for the beans on the side, and I have to say odd as it is, it was the best refried beans Ive ever tasted in my life. Asked for some house chips (I guess they dont bring unless you ask here and zero accompanying salsa I mean really?) got a small portion to dip in the bean spread; it was the best part of the meal, and it shouldnt have been. Basically, blew a C-note just to find out Sharkey's has much better tasting food. A one and easy done for us, too bad.
