I have been eating lunch and breakfast here for some time now. I guess the only reason is, it's the only place around town close. I'm officially Done with this restaurant now as the food is never consistent. Breakfast yesterday I ordered a pork roll and cheese on rye toast. The sandwich came out with one slice or pork roll with what looked to be a slice of cheese on each side of it. Toast slightly brunt. Lunches are hit and miss also. One day you get a nicely put together sandwich the next time ordered it looks like it was put together with the last bit they had left in the kitchen. Waitresses are nice and friendly along with the customers but that doesn't satisfy the appetite not to mention having to pay for the skimpy meals. Save your money and drive a little further. Also, I would like to add, when I go out to eat, I don't want to see the scroungy looking cook go out for a smoke and come in without washing his hands, or come hang out at the counter talking to the customers with a dirty towel slung over his shoulders and while talking to the customers takes his glasses off to clean again returning to the kitchen w/o washing his hands. read more

o The food is usually good , if you eat in and I'll give them 3 stars for that alone , But when you call for pick up YOU MUST CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE !!!! because they either forget to pack a food item or they give you a half of serving. Its like who ever does take out orders is in a rush or does not care about Presentation .the food looks put together in A ver sloppy way. Example) my homefries look like burnt crumbs that you scoop into the garbage after you get to the end of the pan , my sandwich's where all stuck to the foil they use to wrap it. What really bother me was that if you dine in it's one thing to leave a tip which I'm all for , BUT when you pick up food why do I have to tip , and maybe I would if they wouldn't get so upset because I didn't .. example) hello I'm here to pick up an order " server ok ". It'll be $19.05 would you like to leave a tip on the card , "me" no thank you .. then you get the dirtiest look from all the people behind the counter I've not felt so embarrassed . Do you tip the fast food worker, the wawa deli worker or pizza guy when you go pick up order NO !!!! So if they would take the time to properly prepare to go orders and stop asking for tips $ and let the customer offer it , this place would be a 5 star place read more

We just moved here a few months ago. The Breakfast Nook is across the street so it's convenient. However, the first time we went there, our waitress was so rude. She gave me a hard time about ordering what I wanted to order. I wanted to substitute one thing for another and was willing to pay whatever extra it would have been, but she told me it wasn't possible because that's not how the meal was in the menu. Then, the food wasn't even that good. I chalked the whole thing up to maybe the waitress was just having a bad day. We went back again this morning. Different waitress, same attitude. I feel like everyone in there looks at you like you have nerve walking in. This waitress let me substitute (which I was told the first time was never possible) but I couldn't help but feel like I was getting attitude for wanting what I wanted. All in all the food is pretty horrible and apparently every waitress has a nasty attitude. We will never go back there and will never suggest it to any of our friends in the area. read more

Have been here twice. Should have learned the first time. Finally had to get up after 20 min to get our own menus. 45 min till someone came over and asked about our drinks. We said never mind and left. Cook was dirty and never washed his hands. look like he has not had a bath in days. Just not a good place. Stopped in here for breakfast with my daughter. To say the least, the nook needs to hire 3 to 4 more waitresses for breakfast. Waitresses' skirts should only be just above the knee for a professional appearance, not the appearance of hoping to hook up with somebody. We sat down and waited, waited, waited, Pam. Finally the waitress came to our table. She was out of breath. She took our order and Pam, we waited, waited, and waited. When we were finished we were hoping to see the waitress to request the check. Our waitress was nowhere to be found. We wasted so much time in there. Never again for me. After reading some of the other reviews on dinner experiences, will not be there for dinner either, ever. Very very unprofessional. I can only imagine what goes on in the kitchen. read more

So very annoyed! This place sucked. No service what so ever, no order. If your not a regular, forget about it. We paid for our drinks and walked out! I don't know how they make any money with crappy service like this! Nobody acknowledged us for 15-20 minutes. The bus boy brought us our drinks. I could even drink my tea since my cup was dirty. This was my 2nd experience with the waitress/part owner. She will not take 3 seconds to listen to what you want and both visits resulted in her misinterpreting what was said and delivering the wrong order. Today I ordered an omelet with the pre-cooked vegetables placed in the center. I received a wrap with the veggies mixed into the egg mixture. She had quite an attitude Zander my second meal was eggs with huge chunks of veggies again mixed in. When I told her it still wasn't what I ordered she arrogantly told me the cool was too busy and he refused to cook my eggs to order! While I know my business won't matter to them, word of mouth can kill a business. It's interesting that they just expanded their facility. To me it's a case of one being too arrogant and big for their britches. read more

I sat at the counter and waited for 5 minutes before server approached. When she heard me utter "take-out" she excused herself and disappeared. While pondering my abandonment, a young server with the thickest greasiest longest hair I have ever seen stood next to the "server pick-up" counter and commenced combing her huge mane with her fingers for about 10 seconds. Then put a band around her hair and immediately grabbed someone's order with her fingers touching the food. I have eaten in some greasy spoons but I HAVE NEVER SEEN something so gross. As stated in several prior reviews the place is off the beaten path but located next to the Cinnaminson state on the Riverline. I have eaten there several times for breakfast and lunch. They just added a dinner menu a couple of months ago and are open now to 9 pm most nights. They have expanded their space and can accommodate more people with the extra space. The wait staff is friendly and helpful and the food is prepared fresh; which means a lot to me. The prices are good and the portions are nice sized. I've never had an issue there and I have been there several times. Great place for a breakfast treat on the weekends or a good lunch during the week. read more

"Not just breakfast NOOK" delicious lunch wraps and now serving dinner. Long time customer thrilled with new management. Delicious food, good service (not sure why others have listed some trouble-but, nobody's perfect) EXPANDED dining room, now takes cards. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious AND very reasonable! Ok I have to update my prior review which was a 4 star. Since its close to home my family and I go here about once a month for our Sunday morning breakfast. Don't get me wrong the food is good. Just what you would expect from a Jersey luncheonette but the wait staff...Yikes. Here are a few of our experiences-Up till now its been little things, bringing the wrong drink, asking for sometime like additional cream or a glass of water then and the waitress never bringing them etc. 2 mos ago we went in, placed our order and waited for our food. We were sitting at the counter so could see when food is placed on the counter for pick up. We were there early so the restaurant was less then half full. I saw our order be put under the hot lamp for pick up. And it sat there, and sat there and sat there. Our waitress had disappeared. Finally about 15 min later she resurfaced and still didn't bring us our order. Meanwhile other waitresses were picking up up their orders. Finally we got our food which by then was cold. Cold eggs over easy are gross to say the least. So we waited a few months and decided to give it a try again. Today we sat down, ordered our food and she brougnt our drinks. Then nothing. Never came back. People came in after us, ordered, ate and still nothing. The waitress never came back to our table. The people next to us even commented on it. We got up and walked out 25 min after we got our drinks. I think it safe to say the Nook is off our list of eateries. read more
