One winter, my parents needed to shop at the Korean grocery store in Coquitlam, and there happened to be a boong-uh-bbang (taiyaki) cart outside. Unfortunately I didn't appreciate red bean at that time, and I knew that pretty much all boong-uh-bbang were filled with red bean paste only. To my delight, I discovered that this cart sold vegetable filled boong-uh-bbang! I prompted scarfed down at least three, and loved every bite of it. For years, I remembered this little cart as a childhood memory. But now that I live here, I can get vegetable-filled boong-uh-bbang more often! The lady who runs the cart is always so nice, and I always wish I could buy more than I do. So make sure to drop by whenever you're in the area and get your veggies!

I was hungry enough for a snack so I ordered a Kobe terimayo hot dog ($9.45) and upgraded the hot dog to a meal ($2.83). The price is a bit expensive for a hot dog. However, once in awhile is okay. This stall does not take cash so make sure you have a credit or debit card to pay.

The Dirty Dog had smoked meat piled on along with cheese. I added banana peppers for a little extra kick. My daughter had mustard and loaded her dog with pickles. Lully definitely appreciates his customers, he had a soft spot for organ donars and kids as long as you don't put ketchup on your dog. The hours can be random so check the lullys facebook or call ahead. Theres "indoor" and outdoor seating. Lully has music playing which drowns out the car noise from the lot and road. We'll definitely be back as my daughter has higher standards for hot dogs the ones I grill won't live up to lullys

Put simply, this is among the best fish and chips I've ever had. I got the one piece halibut and the bisque. The bisque has a chipotle coconut base, and it's unique and delicious. The fish was fried to perfection, and the halibut inside was a steamy triumph. I added some chipotle lime mayo for the chips. The tartar was lemony and crisp. Knowing that Lebanese food is my favorite of all this was one of our first stops in my two weeks stay. This is a family owned place with the owners behind the counter and working in the kitchen, they appear to be husband and wife, and they couldn't be more friendly or kind. They were so very nice to us and answered all of our silly questions. The food here is magnificent! I had never had tabouli fries before, that was the first. My buddy said their fries were excellent and they are, they are double fried and very crunchy. That is my favorite kind of fry. Pillowy soft on the inside too. The beef-lamb shawarma was special. We got the one with the hot sauce and added more. We are both also chilli heads. I will absolutely be bringing my wife here when we return to the island in the fall. Yalla is 5 stars all the way. Lots of locals in and out while we dined. They know this place is special.
