Also the different textures are appealing as well - soft sweet bread converging with crunchy walnuts. It is so good! Upper Crust Bakery is my "go to" bakery when I am hosting a party that has associated dessert. My favorite cakes at Upper Crust is the Chocolate Italian Cream and the Gato Marissa cakes. They also have an assortment of cookies, pastries, muffins and other sweet treats. It is not unusual to find a line to get to your heavenly pastries and coffee, however, the line goes rather quickly. Many customers are at the bakery only for pickup...revolving pickup counter. Others linger in the bakery enjoying their bakery treats. They also serve soup, sandwiches and quiche as well. Generally, everything I have purchased here has been delicious. Cool environment...

I had just read on Reddit a couple days prior that this was recommended as an alternative to another Austin bakery. When I walked in I was surprised to find many older individuals sitting and chatting, so I thought there might be some kind of event. But it's probably just the demographics of the neighborhood! Based on the decor I can tell they're not trying to be a "trendy" bakery and remain true to their identity as a neighborhood business. They still had a good number of pastries available but I did get the last strawberry danish of the day (pictured). I also got the almond croissant. Their pre-made bread loaves all looked appetizing as well. I thought both pastries had good texture but could have used more filling/flavoring.

They have a walk up window setup which gives it a casual neighborhood vibe. Their focus is on high quality treats. Their chocolate chip cookies are soft, rich, and without a doubt their top seller. The pastries and ice cream are also in high demand. It is not uncommon to find long, windy lines in front of Tiny's Milk & Cookies. The menu pairs classic favorites with seasonal offerings. I purchased a Caribbean flavored ice cream and bought my hubby chocolate chip cookies. The cool ice cream was soothing to my throat.

Don't get me wrong, the chocolate chip cookies were very good (soft, buttery, generous on the chocolate chips), but the lemon crinkle cookies were just out of this world. The lemon cut the sweetness without tasting like artificial lemon and the texture was perfect, slightly crunchy exterior soft interior. The mint ice cream was incredible because they used fresh mint, not mint extract or mint flavor so it tastes different than the regular mint chocolate chip ice cream we are all used to. I really liked it. They have a small window to order and the staff are very friendly. Definitely worth stopping by if you want a cookie or ice cream. The line moves fast.

As soon as we got out of the car in the parking lot, I knew we were in the right place because holy wow the smells coming from the building were crazy delicious. What I bought: Heirloom Masa Sugar Cookie (v)(gf) × 4 $16.00 ($4.00 ea.) Red Berry Concha × 2 $12.00 ($6.00 ea.) Pink Cake (gf) **contains coconut** × 3 $21.00 ($7.00 ea.) Vanilla Concha $6.00 As someone who can't have gluten, I was so so happy that they had gluten free options! The heirloom masa sugar cookie tastes like your grandmas cornbread in cookie form. It's perfectly soft and practically melts in your mouth, slightly savory with just a touch of sweetness, so freaking good. My kids ate the Conchas so fast I couldn't even get a bite in but the kids all said they were super yummy and we have to go back for more. Had a small line when we arrived so we got to watch everyone baking in the kitchen for a few minutes, which was fun to see. Highly recommend!

We will definitely go back and try more items.
