i can't believe this is how the bacon egg and cheeses look like a few steps away from billionaires row. this and a oj was $20. mind you the employees had to restart the sandwich over bc they couldn't understand each other in their own language smh luckily taking spanish for 4 yrs in hs helped cause when i asked whats the problem with the back and forth of the makings of the sandwich they played it cool then the cook asked me to specify what me and my friend ordered. if you work in the nearby area do not eat here. every bite was crumbling and moist. then you can still see the silhouette of the slice of cheese like come onn

One of the last "cheap" lunch places in Midtown. Two bottles of freshly squeeze juices for $10. Around $10 for lunch sandwiches, noodles, salads. There's a huge variety of foods to choose from, a buffet, and snacks.

The food in the picture presented looks delicious right? This was the realest example of false advertising I've ever seen. Not only was most of the food cold and unseasoned but we were also given inaccurate information when asking about the price prior to buying the food. We were told each container was 7.99 and came with a complimentary drink, as many buffets do. When we got to the counter, however, both servings totaled nearly 40 dollars including the drinks. Not only was I bamboozled at the overall unappetizing food, I had half a mind to request it be made over again. It was a shame though, the restaurant looked very welcoming and flavorsome from its exterior.

It's the best option in the area if you want to grab a quick bite, but don't want to go to a restaurant. I usually get the soup ($5.49 + tax). From what I have seen, they have other dishes (Korean + American) for around $8.99 so it suits everyone's needs. I usually get a little portion of each soup and it fills me up. I like how it is hot and focuses on the classics: chicken noodle, barley soup, and a cream soup.

If you urgently need Asian groceries / snacks but can't make it down to ktown or chinatown - this is the place. You won't find everything you need but all the essentials are here. Definitely pricier but will probs satisfy your needs. I remember picking up sesame oil a couple years ago and discovering the Korean barbecue flavored Kettle chips here. The deli and hot food bar seem pretty solid. I've only picked up a chicken vegetable soup when I was feeling a little under the weather one time. I just picked up some veggies at the salad bar yesterday.

Buffets in New York City are not like buffets in Silicon Valley, where you pay a fixed price, and eat all you can. New York City buffets are where you pay by the pound -weight of the food not of your self! We were staying at our timeshare on 200 West 56th near Central Park, and we had already tried Morton Williams buffet on 57th street, at $8 a pound for prepared food in their salad bar. We went into Bread and Honey on 8th ave, just to check out the place. Huge boofay, as Brian S of Warwick, CT would say. $8.09 per pound for a cold buffet, $8.29 per pound for a hot prepared foods buffet, and $8.49 per pound for raw food to be stir fried on the spot. I got the usual beef stew -mainly potatoes and carrots after earlier customers had cherry picked the beef - some white fish, beef, shrimp with noodles, from the hot prepared food area. Very few places serve shrimp in their buffets in New York City. Wife got noodles, shrimp, raw beef, and vegetables put into a bowl, covered with a layer of sauce. The bowl is emptied onto a very large cooking surface, where an employee uses the largest pair of chopsticks I have ever seen to stir fry the food. Both of us got a good portion of vegetables and starches to go with our meats and seafood, and didn't cherry pick the shrimp, like my opportunist ex-wife from Hong Kong would have done! We go out the door for about $20 after tax, for two very hearty dishes of food. Yes, they do have a place for you to eat the food on premises. Place we will have to try next time is Whole Foods Market on Columbus Circle, but twice the distance walking from our timeshare -hey we need the exercise!. Bread & Honey open 6am to midnight, and the 24/7 buffets cater to the millions of workers who commute by subway and train to their workplaces in Manhattan. It such an expensive place to live that both spouses work, and with the lengthy commutes, nobody has time to cook dinners. So they bring home their cooked food from these buffets. This was the last time we tried dinner buffets. Wife got tired of being treated like a commuter, and wanted to be treated like a hot date when we first met 15 years ago. After all, you wouldn't treat a hot date to a New York City buffet? Yes, will it might be your last date!

I know what you're thinking: "Ugh, Bread & Honey? Sounds like a load of carbs." But trust me on this--especially you, clean-eaters. This one's for you. The outdoor exterior is the most deceiving but who's judging? The name is a real killer for those trying to be low on carbs--this place isn't full of carbs and sugar as you think. It's actually quite the opposite. It offers one of the best lunch options you could ever ask for--it's healthy, it's delicious and the Mongolian BBQ is what makes this place amazing. If you're searching for actual hot, healthy food, this is the place. Pretty much everything at the BBQ bar is clean and healthy--the complete opposite of American BBQ. Blech. Now I can't look at BBQ ribs the same way ever again. Mongolian BBQ is seriously one of the most amazing things known to mankind. Those gigantic chopsticks scream out the very best of Asian culture and shame American BBQ. It is a little tricky on how much food to get if you're a first-timer; I'd say fill up 75% of the bowl because chances are, if you only fill up half of it, your plate will only be like 25% full and $7.99/lb is not cheap at all, especially when most of it is water weight. They have great food options like bean sprouts, sweet peas, string beans, baby corn, lots of leaves and proteins like salmon, cod fish, beef, lamb and shrimp.

They've got a lot of fresh produce.

Bread & Honey caught my eyes as I sifted through the streets for a quick meal. It's interestingly multicultural in the selection of fresh food they provide in a buffet type setting slash convince store; an all in one. There's really is a variety of healthy food to eat with plastic to-go plates atop the buffet station. Once you've selected the food proceed to the register and have it weighed than pay. Aside from the food being tasty there are plenty of other snacks, produce, and beverages you can also purchase. The vicinity is decently clean with the door propped open for a natural breeze. Bread & Honey is a worthy place to stop by for an inexpensive meal, as well as to restock on items for your hotel or the walk around NY.

The staff have always been friendly and extremely knowledgeable; it is really handy when you can say you live in San Francisco, what do you have that I can only get out here? You can tell it is a good place in Hell's Kitchen/Times Square when stage hands and actors actually come by after (definitely not between) their shows. They also have whiskeys available here as a sidecar; definitely do not try and order any other liquors, the back of their staff shirt makes that clear. For food, I've only ever had the cheese curds because I obviously have a problem and can't get them at many places in SF. The portions are large and the prices reasonable. My only feedback to them is maybe offer some large format bottle pours on busy nights so people can try some of the more obscure options.

Got a nice dose of dive bar and it was exactly what I was looking for. The place is small, it is loud, there is a good selection of beers on tap and some more on bottles/cans from the fridge. Bartenders are just the right amount of "if you're not a regular you're fine but you're not special" and chatty friendly. What you'd expect from a hole in the wall with decently cheap beer (compared to just a block or two over).
