I've been going to Bravo since they first opened (6 or 7 years ago I think). In fact, I followed my colorist here because she's the best in the biz. I've been coloring my hair since the 90s - I know what I'm talking about. I have my hair cut/colored/styled here as well as various waxing services. I love this place and will not go anywhere else. All the girls are super nice and friendly, totally knowledgeable in their area of expertise and don't push products on you. Monique makes sure that Bravo is a relaxed and fun environment yet still professional. Perfect high end salon, minus the snootiness. read more

Waxing is great with Stella (if I'm not mistaken). She's german and could do a Brazilian just like one. - I'm experienced getting Brazilians 'cause I'm one. Bad thing: reception sucks as well as tge price. Brazilian was almost 100$ read more

I do love this spa and salon, and I would have given it 5 stars, but for what happened today. I had to cancel, and yes, it was at the last minute due to a major transportation conflict. I have gone to Bravo on and off for 3-5 years, and really like the results. It's too expensive, but I was willing to pay for the great look I was getting. Due to a transportation glitch, I had to cancel at the last minute. I hadn't had to do this before, this was the only time it had happened. I was told by the receptionist (snippy little pill of a girl) that the next time I came, not only would I have to pay the price for the hair (color - about $90-110), but also $50 extra since I had cancelled at the last minute, They put my name in their system, so whenever I come (sometime next year), I'll have to pay that extra $50! I understand in a way, since I also have clients cancel at the last minute (I often give them a one time break). But in the end, all that will happens is I can no longer afford to go there. I was willing to reschedule, but whether it's my fault or not, I can't and don't want to afford about $150-170 for a one time coloring!!! Ye Gods! read more

My bridesmaids and I went to Bravo to get our hair done for my wedding and we all couldn't be happier with their work! We were not able to do consultations because all of my bridesmaids were coming from out of town so we all just brought in pictures as ideas for what we wanted. Even with this limitation Bravo's staff was amazing! I couldn't be happier with how my hair turned out and how it stayed the entire night and it looked beautiful, natural and romantic. Not only was Bravo's staff excellent at doing hair but they were also very accommodating, friendly and put us all at ease on what could have been a crazy day. We were all finished on time and agreed that going with Bravo was worth every penny! :) read more

I have been going to Bravo for almost 2 years now and I have my hair cut by Shannon. She has ALWAYS done an amazing cut. Besides a great cut, Shannon makes your experience comfortable and relaxing. The staff is friendly and the girls at the front are sweet and efficient! They might be busy at times..so I think people need to give them a little room here..because they try their best. Thanks Bravo!!!! One more thing, I love that Monique encourages her staff to continue growing in their profession!! read more

Beautiful salon staffed with beautiful and wonderful staff! You get pampered the minute you step in , highly recommended !

Monique the owner, is an expert at cutting short, fine hair. I brought my mom in to see her. My mom is a breast cancer survivor and before cancer she had thick, gorgeous silver hair and after the cancer her hair had become very thin. Monique created the perfect cut for my mom! And now she's back to loving her hair again. It was once my mom's statement piece and it is, once again, thanks to Monique! Katie colored my hair about 6 months ago. The ladies in the salon joke that it's "the color that keeps on giving" and that is a 100% true statement! Although I'm due for a touch up, I get a TON of compliments on my perfectly "honey" colored hair. Katie is a master at color! Sarah is a very talented make up artist. She has done everything from dark and sexy to light and natural for me and I've loved my make up every single time. She is a true artist at her craft and always has a bubbly happy smile to boot. Not to mention the salon has the cutest high end gifts - candles, cards and little gift items. I always manage to leave with a bag of gifts for my friends ..(or myself!) The salon is bright, upbeat and all the ladies are professional. Oh and I hear all the "local celebrities" are all the rage at Bravo, so on a Saturday morning, you might get lucky (or star struck!!) read more

Julie is a brow goddess! She did such an amazing job on my brows! Trying to grow my brows out before my wedding in June and she gave me lots of great advice! Going to make an appointment to have them tinted next time I go in. She also gave me advice on brow makeup and did a quick test run to show me how they would look once my brows grow in a bit more. Thanks Julie!!! read more

This last Saturday I spent 4 hours and $255 plus tip (although granted I left a pretty small one) and came out of this salon looking like a Texas cheerleader from the 80s. Gina did my color and I actually think my hair looked better before she started. I have a big full flap of blonde in the front with dark roots and dark hair underneath. For this I paid $170. Then I had my hair cut by Jordan, who told me half way into the cut that he had only just started at the salon. I was still charged $85 - which is the standard rate for a cut at the salon from anyone. Before he started blow drying a piece of his dryer broke, which he proceeded to just hold in place. Then he said he wanted to give me a little extra styling for "Victoria's Secret hair." This consisted of having me sit under the dryer with large rollers followed by about half a can of hairspray. Once he finished he couldn't find a mirror to show me the back, so he said, "trust me it looks good." I walked out of the salon looking completely ridiculous. My hair was stiff and sticky with hairspray - plus fluffed and teased and set like a bad beauty queen contestant. The first thing I did was race home and wash my hair. I'm a single mom on a budget and this was a "splurge" for me. What a complete waste of money. I basically paid people to make my hair look bad. UPDATE: The owner of the Salon, Monique, had her staff call me several times after reading this review to discuss my experience. Because I was not available to talk while at work, Monique called herself and left a lengthy voice mail regarding the changes that would be made as a result of my review and experience. She also credited back the cost of my haircut ($85). I was called yet again at work today and asked by another staff member to remove this review. I told her I would update it, not remove it and further requested that the salon stop calling me. read more

My girlfriend recommended this salon to me for a wash and blow dry and my experience was less than great from the beginning. When I first called in to make my appointment I felt rushed. I was quickly spoken to and then hung up on when I was about to ask one last question. I brushed it off because my friend said she enjoyed her experience here. When I arrived to the Salon I waited quite a bit to be tended to, no one was at the front desk. Then when the receptionist Devon (made sure to get her name) arrived she had an awful attitude and was very rude. I figured she was the one to book my appointment as well. She was stuck up and had gave off a very unwelcoming feeling. I waited for my stylist to greet me and was offered a glass of water by another girl walking by. They do offer refreshments which I thought was a nice touch. After I was greeted by my stylist i was walked over to the wash bowls. When I was sitting at the bowls all I could hear were girls gossiping as they stood around the wash station. To me this seems very unprofessional. It made me feel uncomfortable and almost judged as they watch the clients in the chairs. The wash and blow dry was okay. At that point it wasn't even an enjoyable experience for me. When I was done I was greeted by the same unapproachable receptionist. I quickly paid and left. I will not be coming back to this salon again. The whole vibe and feel of this place was not good and definitely did not appreciate the way I was spoken to. read more

I've been going to Bravo since December of 2006. So, it's been a while. Pam is great! She always cuts my hair and is always open to new things. She's great at helping me change my hair style without being too dramatic or having the ability to have one hair cut, but different ways of styling it. The staff is very friendly and the ambience/environment is very relaxing. I highly recommend Bravo to anyone willing to try something new. Trust me you won't leave this place! read more

I always feel fabulous walking out of Bravo. Had a fantastic hair cut with Monique this morning - when she cuts it, it's perfect for weeks after...not just that day, but growing out. I'm also the kind of person who tries to always go to the same stylist - however, I also do not always plan ahead! A number of times, I've called same day out of desperation - big work meetings, events, etc. I've ALWAYS been thrilled with the result, regardless of who cuts my hair. Julie does my brows on a regular basis and does a fantastic job. The environment is exactly what a salon should be - bright, happy, and relaxing. Could not recommend Bravo more highly. read more

I went here a while back because I thought it was neat and trendy. I got a hair dye (my first time--which was a decent experience with the hair stylist) and a facial (pretty decent as well) on another occasion. But, now that I think of it, this place is kinda small.. and the receptionists are really snotty. Every time I went, they do this thing where they ask you how much gratuity you want to leave after charging your card. NOT considering HEY, maybe I don't want to leave ANYTHING cause I had a bad experience, OR even why are you figuring out the tip for me? Give me my signature receipt so I can do it myself. So dumb.. just a way to make sure you leave tip.. Which, I did (I wasn't as assertive back then hhaha). The facial I had was short and snappy. For the price, it wasn't worth it. Hope they've improved their services/hired new non-snotty receptionists. read more

Alexis is the absolute B E S T ! I have very curly kinky hair and every time I leave I look like I have a new head of hair! She is so sweet and takes her time never makes you feel rushed. I have gone to her quite a few times now and I refuse to go anywhere else as she has set the bar very high! She is so bubbly and sweet I definitely recommend her for a blowout or any other styles. If I could I would give her 100 stars ! read more

Be aware ladies. The full face wax for $65 DOES NOT INCLUDE eyebrows! This is way to expensive not to include.

I've been getting my haircut by Tasia for over a year now and she is amazing. She pays attention to what you want done and executes it fantastically. I have very wavy, unruly hair that is very thick and hard to manage. Tasia cuts it in a way that makes it easier to manage. She's great with hair, very friendly and funny! read more

Bravo, to Monique & Bravo! Monique has cut my hair for many years now. Her passion for her work is matchless. I don't consider just her training, which is of the utmost, I can tell she really cares about her work. This is rare and unique these days. Monique is a coach, player leader. She owns the place and still plays on the team too! The atmosphere that is created as you enter Bravo is comfortable and yet swanky. Well done Monique! read more

Nora Luna!!! Love love love the new do!!! I've been following Nora for a few years now and she just landed at Bravo a few weeks ago. Beautiful salon with easy parking, stylish decor and a huge range of products and gifts in their lounge. I would follow Nora anywhere, but I am truly happy she landed here. My cut is always perfect, when I color it's rich and amazing, and of course I have that fabulous feeling when walking out all refreshed and new. Thanks dearest Nora and welcome to Bravo!! I'll be back soon! read more

I absolutely love this salon! Visually the salon is fantastic and clean. Located conveniently on lake, the entrance is across from Macy's and coffee bean. Parking is easy as it's next to the structure. I get weekly blow outs from Alexis- she is the best! Always punctual and is truly talented. I always get compliments on my hair, Alexis does an amazing job. Overall this place provides amazing services and isn't stuffy, but rather friendly and welcoming. Such a professional establishment with great staff. read more

I have been going here since it opened... and I have been seeing the colorist (Renee) and stylist (Monique) even longer! I LOVE Bravo... they are always professional and greet me when I come in. I have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes for my appointment. Renee has dyed my hair dark brown, light brown, platinum blonde...highlights, solid color... you name it, she has done it! And my hair always is left shiny with no damage. Monique cuts and styles my often unruly, curly hair beautifully. She can always replicate any style i am looking for. I see Sarah for waxing and she takes her time and is amazing at shaping my brows! The receptionists are always friendly and offer me water, tea, etc. I have spent hours and hours at Bravo and never had a bad experience!! I drive almost 40 minutes just to go to this salon...that is how much I love it! read more

Julie is the best! She is amazing at doing eyebrows, I had finally gotten tired of all the crappy wax jobs I had gotten that I decided to let them grow out and I went to Bravo. Julie took her time to figure out just what would look best on me and she succeeded! This is my new place to get my eyebrows done all the time. The rest of the staff is really friendly and professional too. read more

I have a hair stylist snd snoyhrt salon I love, but they don't do facials or massage. For that I come here. Melissa has been my masseuse for a while now and I always feel so much more alive and energized when I leave. She takes excellent care of me and everything is clean and sanitary. Sara takes care of my face and she is a gem as well. I have even had people ask me out of the blue who does my eyebrows and I always pass on her name and number. The receptionists are lovely. They remember who you are, are always upbest and friendly and they even remember that you want a glass of water when you come in and it shows up so quickly you wonder how they do it. See either of these ladies and you will be happy you did. read more

I LOVE LOVE Julie! She is god's gift to eyebrows! I am very picky about the shaping of my eyebrows and she exceeded my expectations! I first started seeing Julie when I worked with her at her old spa about 4 years ago and even after I stopped working there I still continued to see her. Not only is she amazing at waxing, but her facials will have you asleep in a minute! I have never been to Bravo for services, only products, but I will definitely be following Julie on her new journey here at Bravo! read more

Just went to bravo to get my brows waxed, Julie did a great job. She was speedy, personable and as gentle as one can be when waxing.

Moved here from Chicago 2 months ago and haven't had my hair done since- decided to get a cut here on a whim (after I realized that I look like a Sasquatch and won't make it another month before I go home to see my regular stylist) and I am so glad I did! My stylist Tasia was amazing and I am so glad I found her. I definitely just became a regular. The salon staff is very friendly and the salon itself is beautiful and clean. I totally recommend. read more

I love, love, LOVE Julie for brow waxes! I have finicky brows which I often have problems where the ends are over waxed by estheticians. I am bushy in the middle and thin at the edges. I have had them done at Brau Haus, Burke Williams, and many lower end facilities. There is no one as amazing as Julie! She has been been doing my brows exclusively for the past 3 years. My brows are picture perfect! Perfectly trimmed, even, not overwaxed. She is highly skilled and such a sweetheart, I love my 30 minutes a month of brow time. I keep meaning to schedule more services with her. Highly recommend Julie at Bravo! read more

Great cut, personable service. Monique has been cutting my hair for about five years now. She listens to what you want, and turns you into the best version of yourself. Some may call the cuts pricey (I don't, not by west LA standards), but they last and last. They grow out great because for her, precision is everything. (I like that in a person.) This means she is not only fantastic at cutting hair, she's also great at mentoring the younger stylists in the shop. They're learning from the best. And there's no snooty attitude. Everyone is friendly and forthcoming. Highly recommended. Wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

All I can say is Kymmie is all that and a bag of cheetos!! I've been searching for a good color and stylist since moving back to Cali 8 years ago and I'm so glad I have found her! read more

As I walked down Lake Ave on a lazy afternoon, I spotted a sign that said something about a new me waiting for me around the corner. Since I wasn't particularly fond of the old me's hair, I thought I'd make an appointment. I chose Monique, since she seems to be the one to see in this salon, but, as luck would have it, Monique is on maternity leave for 3 months. So I was going to have to pick someone else. I made an appointment with Kaytee, and I'm really glad I did. I think she might be a magician. My hair actually looks like healthy hair again- not like the bus driver's hair on South Park- and let me tell you, that is nothing short of a miracle. The salon itself has a minimal modern decor, minus the uptight, snooty attitude. I'm so psyched to have found this place- and I can walk there! One more thing- everyone that works here looks awesome- so well put together! Walking in there with a black t-shirt and a pair of jeans, I almost wish I had dressed better (but let's face it- 10am on a Saturday- it's not going to happen). It sure made me want to go shopping though..... read more

Nora Luna is AMAZING!! I have been following her for a few years now and she does great work! When you sit in her chair she makes you feel comfortable and has a great artistic ability. She takes care that I don't damage my hair to much. She is easy to talk to and I can easily say she has listened to me ramble on and on. Great hairstylist and you could say therapist. love her! read more

Bravo Spa and Salon is by far the best place to escape the daily hustle and bustle. I have been coming to Bravo since 2007 and it is truly my sacred place where I go to get pampered and primed. Sarah, Monique and Mia know exactly what I want, what I need and I always leave the salon with extra confidence and a huge smile on my face. It is necessary to mention that my friends, colleagues and strangers stop to ask me about my haircuts and color, which is the testament to the level of talent and precision of the Bravo team. I feel so lucky to have found this place and I am never leaving! read more

Breanna and Bravo should be ashamed of themselves!! It is 1:15pm on Sunday and Bravo just called to cancel my 4pm appt with Breanna because Breanna wants to fit in an UNSCHEDULED client. I informed the front desk and Breanna directly that Breanna knows I've been put out of work for months due to Covid-19 so I've been interviewing and that today's hair appointment is for an interview that I have in the morning for a job. I thought surely Breanna would follow through on her commitment to ME being reminded of the situation. It was actually shocking to hear her tell me that she does not plan to change her mind and follow through with my appointment scheduled a week ago. I told her I'd come in later and she said she'd be too tired. WOW. Unprofessional, complete lack of reliability and follow through. How cold hearted!! Where is the INTEGRITY????? I've never experienced anything like this with an appointment. To cancel on me for an unscheduled appointment and not even try to do anything to adjust to accommodate me. Unbelievable. Not to mention no empathy. I asked to speak to the manager and she refused to put me in touch with her to help me deal with the situation immediately. So It is Sunday afternoon, I have a interview in the morning, and how likely is it that I will find someone to do my hair right now? All I can say is WOW, unbelievable that this salon supports this behavior. UNPROFESSIONAL, UNRELIABLE, SAD. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. read more

I got a cut and color here last Saturday. The salon's front desk receptionist was friendly. The salon itself was buzzin and full of people. My colorist was Gina. The color came out great. So this review is well overdue, but.... I have been going to the owner Monique before she opened this salon. I travel down from Castaic to Pasadena for my hair cut and color, does that tell you anything? Monique has worked really hard to create a fabulous spa that has talented staff with trendy yet relaxing atmosphere. She nailed it!! No matter the service, all her stylists will be able to work with you to give you the look you desire. I have had several do my color, all winners! My personal fave is Renee. I go to Monique for my cut, she is the best. I have not experienced any of the spa services but I can tell you it is fabulously decorated. You can also look forward to excellent customer service. Book your appointment today, you won't be disappointed! read more

I LOVED my MASSAGE! Rasheeda (I hope I gave the spelling of your name justice)your fingers are magic! I will definitely be coming back. I found my therapist, newly moved to the Pasadena area and I had been missing getting my massages and couldn't find any therapist worth the buck, but boy have I now, thank you so much perfect pressure so strong to be so little, much appreciated bravo, you'll be seeing me often. read more

I get facials done with Jessica and she is fabulous! I have been doing one a month for a couple of months and my skin looks and feels great. She is super friendly and very professional. What can I say about the amazing Kymee! I can have to worst day ever and when I come in she just makes me feel amazing! My hair has never looked or felt better ... And let me tell you I have the curliest, thickest head of hair ever and have it straightened all the time - no hot iron needed and did I mention it lasts for a week. She has the best color sense if you areooking to change your look or to just spice up your old one. Just let her know what you wAnt and poof its there. One of the best parts of my appointments are her awesome shampoos and head messages. I wish they would put that on the menu! Any how Kymee is Gods gift to the salon world. Bravo, with its team of talented and fun girls, is simply amazing! Great ambiance and fun vibe - Pasadena chic, but not pretentious. Have known the girls since their Amadeus days and have not stopped seeing them(this review is clearly way overdue). Bravo founder, Monique, does my cuts and she is a true master of her craft...not to mention, she continues to educate and challenge herself (as well as her team), to continually be better and ensures that Bravo's clients are being serviced by a dedicated and knowledgeable staff. She is also equally awesome with special occasion dos! Renee, has been my colorist for ages and she is a perfectionist to a fault. Her loyal clientele is a true reflection of her work and customer service. Truly incredible! And she has an awesome personality, to boot. I've received services with several other technicians as well and Bravo really does have a great team. Everyone places such an importance on service and they are all very personable. They do it all - hair, makeup, waxing, updos, etc. Oh and their new jet set blowout lounge is super cute. A blowout can't get any more affordable than that but make no mistake - they still go through great lengths to make sure your hair is rockin'! And FYI, there's a Coffee Bean right nearby. Now do yourself a favor. Make an appointment. Thank me later. read more
