I'm really loving my new loose waves perm and bangs done by a stylist named Doris or Diane...starts with a D. I didn't quite catch her name but she's super good at what she does. She's attentive and makes sure the curls are the kind I want. I asked for loose waves but she told me the waves she gave me (more than a beachy wave but not a full on curl) will last longer. I'm so glad I took her suggestion and I'm left with gorgeous waves!! I'm not a talker at salons, so I'm glad my stylist didn't try to engage me in conversation. After the perm, she fixed my awkward bangs and transformed them into ones that will grow out into a side part, which is exactly what I want. I'm so glad she fulfilled all my wishes!! The whole process took a little less than 2 hours - my appointment was at 1 and I left the salon at around 2:50, so the quickness of it all was good. Beautiful salon and very cute decor. Everybody in there is so friendly and makes sure you're well taken care of. Definitely make an appointment if you want to perm or drastically change your hair style. I got the perm and a bangs trim for $142, which isn't bad for the services they offer and the atmosphere. One thing that I didn't do is tip her, since I was trying to calculate the tip on my phone but it was being weird so I ended up not giving her any. I feel bad, but I will definitely do so next time. Hence, I'm willing to come here again!! Super close to where I live now, so distance-wise, it's a plus!! Super convenient! P.S. It's usually hard for me to immediately like the end-result, but today was an exception! I love my new hair. :)) And I'm sure all the stylists there are professional and super good at what they do. No wonder this salon is rated City's Best Salon. :P Will recommend!! read more

i just zoned out at the office after a long thought about how to handle all my biz cause I was feeling a little overwhelmed and then it dawned on me...SHIT, my eyebrows look really good - thanks desktop mirror and adult ADD! I instantly felt better and empowered to conquer my work :) GO TO Julie - quite possibly the best eyebrow shaper in Pasadena, hold it - Im gonna push it a step further and say all of LA!!! She made the sisters, look like twins again, which i thought was impossible since I over-tweezed my eyebrows in high school - back then it was cool. I paid $37 for brow shaping and a upper lip wax - next time, Ill leave the upper lip wax to my DIY Sally Hanson strips since it doesnt need any real pruning - just take it down like a weed at home! read more

I still love Bravo. So much. I have been a regular since the beginning of Bravo. My eyebrows are now simply beautiful-- always thanks to Sarah. I was fortunate enough to have my hair done by owner Monique. She did an incredible cut and style. Most recently I visited for the Kerastase free condition/style day. My hair was fabulous! Thank you Alicia! I just wanted to say, thank you again, ladies, i still love you, and I still honor you with 5 stars, I'd give 6 if I were able! read more

I have been going to Bravo for years and it has been amazing. Renee does the best highlights and always goes the extra mile to make me feel and look awesome. This is the best salon in the San Gabriel Valley by far! read more

I only had an eyebrow design here. I specifically chose a salon with bumble&bumble since my regular salon carries those products. I drove all the way from San Diego to this place to get my eyebrows done. The place is very cute and when I went, hardly anyone was there. They played a random old school movie and had water/treats out for customers. The lady who helped me, I forgot her name but she had a slight gap in the middle of her teeth and had short blonde hair. She was nice BUT she RUSHED the waxing design. HEY! I know it doesn't take a LONG time but damn, she could have been slower and more careful. Also, when I told her about my regular place, she dissed it and told me not to go there etc etc. Plus, after I got my eyebrows done, they were soooo red. NEVER have they been so red. And I got so many pimples around my eyebrows! I refuse to go here for another eyebrow design!!! But I might try out the hair styling but definitely not by the same lady! read more

Alexis is the best!! For a five-star blow-out you must come in to Bravo and book a blowout with this wonderful stylist. She can do anything and everything and I always walk out feeling and looking my best. Julie is a queen for makeup. She can work any look and is so amazing at what she does. She is an artist and has the best personality! Monique is an excellent salon-owner. Thumbs up all around at this place, you won't go wrong when you walk in here. Everyone at Bravo is super friendly and they provide clean and professional services. I recommend this place to all of my friends! Make sure you book early with Alexis if you're getting your hair done, the word isn't totally out yet (she recently moved to Bravo), but she's amazing and those who have had her before book her up quickly! Bravo for Bravo! read more

This review is long over due. I hired Monique and Renee to do my daughter's hair and my hair for her wedding; nothing short of amazing. The energy they brought to the morning and into our hairstyles was pure perfection! We were complimented all night and I personally was amazed that it lasted well into the night. I have been to Bravo regularly since October to get my monthly facials, with Jessica, my daughter finally convinced me to take a little extra care of myself and I'm glad she did! From being greeted at the door and seeing the now familiar faces asking me if I'd like anything to drink and how I'm doing, it's nice to know that there is an establishment of young people who truly care to serve their costumers. What can I say- the facial service is sooo relaxing, I leave in a daze every time and book my next appointment before walking out the door. Bravo is a one stop shop to take care of all your needs. You won't leave disappointed! read more

Rasheeda gave me an amazing prenatal massage! I walked in like a stick figure, suffering from sciatic pain- and I left like a noodle; beyond relaxed and walking comfortably. Rasheeda paid extra attention to my problem areas, but still was able to give me the full body massage experience. She found knots I didn't even know about and pressed them away. What's even great is that she greets you with an infectious smile and provides enough conversation to make you comfortable. The spa's facilities are beautiful, clean, and the staff are friendly. Don't be discouraged by the price: its worth every penny. read more

Jessica was very nice and she did a great job with my dry skin. She was not selling the products hard, it was nice that she wasn't pushy at all. Facials should be relaxing, and this one was. I felt I was in good hands and didn't feel like I was getting a facial for the wrong skin type or being sold a bunch of stuff I didn't need. That was nice. I'll be back! I didn't get to use the Tuesday deal, maybe next time! read more

Alexis blows me out of the water EVERY SINGLE TIME! I recently moved to LA and needed to find a trustworthy experienced hair stylist and was so thankful I crossed paths with this sweetheart of a human. She has been cutting and toning my hair for over a year now and has TRULY brought my hair back to life. She takes great pride in her craft, pays great attention to detail, and strives to exceed my expectations time and time again. Book your appointment with her today, you won't regret it! read more

I actually went to Bravo for a facial and had their Power Pumpkin Resurfacer facial which is designed for a deeper exfoliation. Although pretty pricey at $125, the results were satisfactory with zero down time. The facialist Julie was pleasant and knowledgeable. She also did my eyebrows (tweezers only) on a different occasion and did a great job. My skin looked better after the facial than it did before which is always a plus when spending pretty big bucks on vanity. read more

I would follow these girls to the ends of the earth. Full Disclosure: The girls have become my friends but the gushing I'm going to do is honest and sincere. Most of the staff here got their start at the Amadeus Spa in the Paseo but needed to spread their wings. Most of their clients are so devoted, they followed the girls over to Bravo. Monique is the owner and cuts hair like no ones business. She's trained at Bumble and Vidal to name a few. She's incredibly versatile- from faux-hawks to finger waves. If you have an exact idea of what you want or no clue at all, her expertise will lead you to the best cut of your life. She's the f-ing best! Bravo is her baby and the love she feels for it and what she does is palpable. Rene does color and she's fantastic! Sarah is the only person in the WORLD I will let touch my eyebrows. Honestly, I never looked as good as I did after these girls came into my life. They are all so funny, kind and sometimes a little kooky. The place itself is a reflection of Monique's modern, sleek and comfortable style. You can also stock up on some of the best hair and skin products around as well as unique gifts and such. I could go on for hours about how much I love these girls and Bravo. Honestly, there is nothing more refreshing than going into a hip salon and being met with genuine kindness instead of stuck up attitudes. read more

If you're looking for the best place to get a stylish haircut and a perfect brow and bikini wax, look no further! One of my well-connected Pasadena friends said, "everyone who's anyone in Pasadena gets her (his) haircut by Monique." She's right, and for good reason. Monique Montano, owner and sylist, is an artist when it comes to styling your tresses. She's constantly studying trends and taking workshops to expand her knowledge, which is evident when she works with you. She's the type of stylist who really listens to what you want. She's multi-talented and can replicate the latest celebrity styles or just find the best cut for your face shape. I have naturally curly long hair and she knows how to work with it and use the right products so it doesn't get overly frizzy or poofy. I've also seen her do wonders with young trendsetters in the form of a hip pixie cut or faux hawk. She's not afraid to be edgy, if that's what you're looking for. Her cuts start at $85 and are WELL WORTH IT! I recommend booking in advance before you leave because her schedule fills up fast! I also love going to Bravo to get my brows and bikini waxed by Sarah. She knows how to get just the right, sexy arch for your brows and she makes bikini waxes bearable because she's efficient and so friendly and entertaining that you're done before you know it. Check out her adorable haircut, by the way--Monique did it. All the staff at Bravo are extremely helpful and easy-going. The energy is so positive and upbeat and you can tell everyone there is so happy to be making you feel beautiful. The interior design is sleek and modern in the salon and you can usually find a local artist's paintings for sale on the walls. Be sure to meander to the cozy, shabby chic, elegant lounge in the back to unwind and sip some tea if you're in the mood for some peace and quiet. Monique's artistic eye and attention to detail is evident in the decor. Bravo is a full-service salon so you can get your mani/pedis and highlights all done the same day you do your waxing and haircuts if you have the time. Try Wendy in the nail department-she's experienced and thorough. Also ask for either Rene or Liz for hair color. You won't be disappointed! Bravo uses Bumble and Bumble and recently started carrying Kerastase, which is a fantastic line of top notch hair care and styling products. Bravo will make you beautiful! Go with confidence! read more

I love their online booking system, makes getting appointments very easy and check in at the counter is always smooth. I got a nice massage and blow out back to back to kick of a vacation weekend. Parking is easy and ample in the Shops on Lake Avenue parking garage. Efficient, reasonably priced salon that takes good care of you. read more

I didn't even know this place existed until today when I left Macy's from a different door I came in from and happened to spot it on the way out. So glad I found it! I went in to inquire about their prices for tinting and waxing eyebrows, and they were able to get me in 30 minutes later. Amber did an EXCELLENT job. It's pretty hard to get it right when tinting the brows of a fair-skinned redhead, but I really couldn't have asked for anything better. The brows look great! I'll definitely be back to try some of their other services... especially a massage and facial. read more

I am giving the four stars for the massage itself. I received a pregnancy massage here and it was great. I have waited so long to do my review as I am pregnant with baby brain, in school full time and working full time; I just haven't had the time. I went mid March and took a friend. We both had a good time. The lone star that got away is for the high price as I feel there should be more offered for the prices, and also for being hard to find as I am not from the Pasadena area and there were hardly any signs to signal you into the place from the street. But the experience was good nevertheless. Sorry that I cannot remember the masseus' name. I believe it may have started with an 'M'. I really do have a bad case of the baby brain. I would go again and would recommend to anyone. read more

I was in Pasadena for a wedding, so I went to Bravo to have my hair styled. My extensions are growing out and my hair is pretty long and unruly. So, I was looking for some help styling it in a relatively low key up do. I cannot remember the name of the gal who did my hair, but I liked her. She did a lovely partial up do with low, curly pony tail. She was very personable and chatted with my as she worked. My only issue is that she did not secure it enough. Bits of it were coming out within an hour or so of leaving the salon. If you book a styling appointment here, be sure to be clear on weather or not you want your hair styled up or down. There was some confusion when I arrived because the woman that my appointment was booked with only styles hair down. Luckily the woman that does up dos was available to step in. read more

Let me begin by saying Julie is a skin goddess!!!! I've seen Julie several times for my facials and each time she ceases to impress me with my skin results. Julie makes me feel so comfortable and at home, my facials are like mini vacations. I walk out with my skin glowing and people asking me who I'm seeing. First she takes a look at your skin under a light and tells you what you need which is great! I had annoying hormonal breakouts that can leave scarring but Julie fixes that right away! The prices are reasonable for what you're getting, I definitely won't go anywhere else. I've honestly never been more satisfied with my skin. Thank you Julie!! read more

Amber is the bomb!!! I met Amber at Amadeus Spa and followed her to Bravo. She is the absolute best when it comes to eyebrows!!!! She is gorgeous, and when she is done working magic on my eyebrows I feel gorgeous too. Everyone at Bravo is super nice and accomodating. I love this little place. Do yourself a favor. Go see Amber!!!!! read more

I go here every three weeks for an eyebrow wax and eyelash extensions. I highly recommend Amber for both. She is quick but thorough.... I don't have to worry about wasting my whole night here! I had gotten my lash extensions at another salon before and it took 2+ hours... Amber was able to do it (and do it better) in 30 minutes! I get complimented on them all the time! They look fantastic and I don't have to bother with mascara... ever! :) She also does an amazing job on my eyebrows. I'm the girl who has no natural arch in my eyebrows but Amber was able to make one for me that flatters my face. I love them! Plus, I'm not sure what kind of wax they use, but I can walk out of there without being all red and irritated from the experience. It's great! P.S. I also had a full bikini wax done there once with Amber also. It was virtually pain free and so quick that it was over in record time. She did a great job but the price of a full wax is a bit too expensive for me so I get it done elsewhere. read more

I've been coming to this salon for...a couple of years, maybe? I usually dread going to the salon. I've had my face scratched, blow-dried; I had one lady tell me that my hair wasn't really thick (although I assured her it was) and then when she was drying it she told me she'd have to charge me extra for having thick hair. Needless to say, it's hard to find a great salon/stylist. Bravo is cute; it's a small salon located just right of Coffee Bean, so don't get lost. Everyone is always friendly. Kaytee's been cutting my long hair for a while; she's fantastic. She always takes off just enough and gets rid of the bulk so I look less mangy. It's really important, especially if you have longer hair, that you get a stylist who will listen. My hair always grows out well (I get it cut 4 times a year). I think we all want about the same experience--to leave looking good, to have a stylist tell us we're at least reasonably pretty and not pull your hair. It's a nice salon and an oasis from work and school. And they have cool local artwork on the walls. Give it a shot; you won't hate the service, but if you hate the cut (and someone always will no matter the place), I guarantee your hair will grow back. Seriously. read more

Have been seeing Monique and Rene for years! They are so genuine, patient and most of all, super crazy talented!!!! Besides offering the latest styles and lots of "hair tutorials" and "how-to's" they really make your experience nothing short of a first class! I'm so thankful for this gem, Monique's attention to detail and her team really makes this place outstanding. I'll be back in 5 weeks!!!! read more

First time coming here was a couple of days ago. I got my hair trimmed and blown out after! It was fantastic! I was skeptical bc I haven't had a decent person do what I want in a long time and I finally got it here. I was able to enjoy some champagne as well as I hadn't had my hair cut in a year due to my busy stay at home schedule with my 16month old! Thanks for the pampering and I'll be back! read more

This place is stunning. When you walk in, you walk into "salon heaven". It's so chic & cute. The decor is stylish & unique, which is a good sign for me since that's how I want my hair to look like. Andy used to cut my hair and she's fantastic. She takes her time to inquire on your needs and then gives her professional advice. She's also very sweet and friendly, which makes sitting in that chair even more wonderful. I've always gotten compliments after Andy's done my cuts. She brings life to my sometimes drab hair. Now, the gem in the entire salon has to be my colorist Liz Ortega. She is a true artist. I always go in to get some highlights to get my gray hairs covered and she never disappoints. She's so in tune with what would look best on your hair. She speaks from experience, but also listens. Very rare in this business. Liz is exquisite and her hands work magic on your hair. She takes her time to achieve the perfect color and it's well worth it.....every time! On a side note, she's just lovely! Sweet, kind & effervescent. Her personality sparkles because she is so outgoing & amiable. She makes you feel like you have been friends forever. A gem indeed! The only downside to this salon is the price. It is on the high-end and for someone like me (teacher), it is virtually impossible to afford those haircuts & colorings. I think if money is no object, this is the place for you. If it is, it'll probably put a sizable dent in your wallet. However, you will come out looking fabulous no doubt! read more

This review is for a brow shaping with Jenny. Jennifer? Anyway, it was a very good experience. Made an appointment and only waited 5 or 10 minutes. Jenny greeted me and took me to her brow cave. I told her what I wanted, and she pretty much agreed and nodded because she's done ten thousand brow shapings and can read minds. She was precise, like Germans usually are and did an excellent job. I would come back if I could afford it without a coupon. The truth: German engineering for your eyebrows. PS. I'm going to find out I got her name and ethnicity wrong. read more

Bravo is hands down one of the greatest salons in Los Angeles and deserves a 10 star rating. I absolutely love this place and that is why I'm writing my second review! I've just recently started getting my bixini wax with Sarah and she is incredible!! It's painless and quick. She does such an amazing job and you feel so comfortable with her! And of course my eyebrow shape is always perfect thanks to her!! Rene is fabulous with color! She gave me the most amazing "hombre' hair color style that I'm absolutely in love with! And of course, Monique who always understands what I want with my hair cuts, even though I never make sense with my explanations. She is incredible! You want to look fabulous and feel beautiful? Bravo will do just that for you and more! The service is excellent and all the girls are friendly. Never a bad day at Bravo Salon! read more

I just got my haircut over the weekend by Kaytee. She is super friendly and sweet. But more importantly, she listened to what I wanted, clearly told me what she planned to do to my hair to address my needs and lastly did a great job on my hair. In case you are curious, I had crazy split ends in uneven spots and asked Kaytee to fix the hot mess as well as give me a more contemporary cut that required little maintenance. She not only was up for the challenge but also offered complimentary maintenance on my layers, if they got too heavy. Also call me antisocial but I kind of dread the chatting when I'm getting a haircut...but Katyee was rather easy to talk to and there were times when we weren't talking and I didn't really feel uncomfortable. Pretty awesome, right? Agree with the reviewer that said the staff is very attractive but they do put you at ease, which is much appreciated. I hate being uncomfortable in a place that is supposed to beautify me. The only reason it's 4 stars is because as much as I appreciate the ambiance, the convenient free parking and the comfort of knowing my hair was in good hands, I still have a hard time justifying spending *that* much on a haircut. The cuts start at $75 for women. I didn't ask but I also wasn't told how much a cut would be with Katyee...it ended up being $85. And to be clear 4 stars is a great rating - it's "Yay! I'm a fan." If I gave it 5 stars ("Woo hoo! As good as it gets!") then the cuts would be just a tad less....and actually, I bet you'd get more frequency at a little lower rate. However, since Kaytee offered complimentary maintenance in between, I think she gets 5 stars...ack, I'm so indecisive tonight!!! read more

Downgrading my review because Amber, my go-to brow shaping girl, left. And when I called to make an appointment with her, they woudn't tell me where she had gone. Thankfully, I did some investigative work and discovered that she moved just across the street to Integrity Skin Care. Anyway, I went to another brow shaping person before Amber, and she was pretty good, hence the three stars. The space is nice, and so is the location. But the cuts are too pricy for my pretty simple hair. read more

I used my groupon to get my haircut, color, and massage this week. First thing, I didn't realize that the tint service on the groupon was basically a touch-up for your roots only. If you wanted to get your entire head of hair colored, you have to pay an extra 25 bucks. When the groupon said "tint service", you automatically think it involves your whole head, not just the roots. Oh well, just take some extra money when you go to use your groupon. I got my 30 min neck and shoulder from Rasheeda--she was AWESOME! She asked me what kind of pressure I preferred (firm) and she did her magic. Rasheeda's massage is in my top 3 all time best massages ever! I will definitely be back for her massages. My hair was colored by Kim. She's the blonde with pink hair and I have to say that I really like my color. I mentioned to her that I have chemically straightened hair and was able to get the deep color saturation I wanted without damaging my hair at all. I was satisfied with my color. My haircut was by Pam. She gave me "shape" to my long thick mane of hair. Translation: a whole shitload of layers. I told her that I didn't have a lot of time for a high maintenance cut so I needed something that would look good without extensive styling. When I left the salon, I looked GREAT! but since, my hair is all over the place. Layers bending the wrong way and basically, making it so that I can't leave the house without ironing my hair. Sheesh. Would I return if I have to pay the full price? Bravo's prices are quite high and I won't be back for cuts, maybe the color, definitely the massages. read more

No waiting + very friendly and personable + experience + perfect brows = Julie! This review is for Julie Margi who does facials, waxing, and amazing jobs with makeup if you need to get dolled up for a special event. My brows always look perfectly shaped after I see her, and her fun loving personality makes every visit a blast! I originally tried Bravo because I followed Julie there from a past salon, so even though she is new to Bravo, she has been doing her practice for five years, and it really shows in the results. We met when I was on the Tournament of Roses Royal Court, and she was the assigned makeup artist, along with others, for many of our biggest media events. More importantly however, she was responsible for making seven girls' eyebrows absolutely perfect. I had been looking for a place to do my brows for quite a while and was frankly nervous because you never know how it's going to turn out. However, with Julie they came out the exact shape that I wanted, and she is so much fun to be with, that I wasn't even nervous the first time I tried her, I just knew she would know what to do. When you make an appointment with Julie, you get an eyebrow waxer, and a great friend! read more

I've been going to this salon for about 3 years now for haircuts and a massage or two. I have never had an even slightly negative experience here. The owner, Monique, is amazing in every way--she is the most amazing hair stylist (I won't let anyone else touch my hair), and she is the sweetest woman. The massages I've had here have spoiled me forever. The space is completely polished and relaxing, and there is an area in the back for post-massage water (with cucumber slices, mind you) and relaxation. Love, love, love this place. read more

So I've been going to Bravo for YEARS, ever since Shannon left Chameleon I had to follow her because no one gets my cuts like she does (I've gone to her for 12 years now and NEVER cheated). While I've been faithful to my stylist I've cheated on colorist time and time again. Until I fell in bed with Mia. Mia is honest, thoughtful, considerate and we all know that's a recipe for a long term relationship. I've never been satisfied with my color and for the first time I'm overly satisfied, pinching myself - is this real?! Between my cut and color I'm the happiest I've been in both of my relationships. Going to this salon is like coming home to family, everyone knows and remembers you and the clientele is just as engaging. I really could not recommend Bravo more! read more

I've been looking for a great hair salon for the past two years since moving to Pasadena and I haven't found one until now. Bravo not only provides excellent customer service when it comes to people, but they take pride in the work they do. Mia specifically is the only stylist I go to. She engages you throughout the session and really takes pride in her workmanship. I'd recommend her and continue to recommend her to both male and female patrons looking for a quality haircut while getting a smile in the process! Mia at Bravo.. Thank you for everything! 5 star rating across the board! read more

I've been going to Bravo since I moved to Pasadena about a year ago and Alexis does amazing haircuts!

I love may hair cut lady - Andrea (Andy). I've gone to her a few times (will definitely keep going back to her) and I've loved my haircut every time. The price is very reasonable. The only down side about this place is their customer service. They're not exactly the most friendly people. But I love Andy, so I don't mind it. read more

Well, I have a two year relationship with Bravo. I think their work is largely fabulous, their decor great, their prices... tough to swallow. I probably have to move on for that reason... it's not exactly that I don't think it's worth it but I do think it's a little unreasonable, and bottom line is I just really can't pay it, and even more so now in these tough economic times. So, I'm tempted to give 3 rather than 4 stars but if cost/value were not a consideration i would give 4.5 stars. So I'll stick with 4 stars. They are good at what they do, and I value their work but i would say everything seems 10-20% overpriced EXE: haircuts should start at $60-$65. Because I think there is a general pricing-me-out problem, I am not going to note that in the reviews of the individuals below as it's a given. Here's some reviews on some of these fabulous women: Hair (Andy) - she has been instrumental in changing my relationship with my hair. She is really good at what she does, she has a natural knack for the artistry of it. She gives great cuts and is as sweet as can be. My single only complaint: I often felt rushed out for the next client and/or my hair was not finished being styled when i left partly because of the kind of hair. But after spending $75, i want to walk out looking cute, not with partially wet/partially styled hair, albeit with a cut cut. Make-up (Sarah) - did special event make-up and it was perfect... i've never liked pictures of myself so much! Make-Up (Sarah) - waxed eyebrows, thought it was alright, had my first Brazilian with her--nearly painless plus her demeanor puts you at ease and makes you less uncomfortable with the concept and your own nudity. I was pleased until my next Brazilian (which was cheaper and also not very painful) which made me realize that there was a little more work that needed to be done on the one I got with Sarah. Massage (Pam) - 1x had a massage with her it was excellent. Hugs to the Bravo gals. I wish i could continue to afford you. read more

Amber left but was amazing for brows. Andy had a baby but never had a better hair cut in my life. I get my hair colored by KImmy who is really sweet and does an amazing job! I recommended her to my roommate who has complete opposite hair to me (super blonde highlights) and Kimmy did an amazing job on her and me. She is talented and when she was 15 minutes behind she gave me a 10% discount. Front desk sucks but your not getting your hair done by them. Go see Kimmy for color and I promise you won't be dissappointed! read more
