I would have liked a mix of different vegetables. Lasagna - 5/5 - this was my favorite. It was cheesy, served very hot, the noodles were not mushy. Just deliciousness on a plate. The service at the bar was outstanding. Our server was attentive and offered us as much bread as we wanted. He went over the menu and offered suggestions. We only drank water and the cup was always full. He was great! Seating - there was plenty of seating, so was not sure why we were only offered a choice of 2 tables both basically on top of the party next to you. I feel they can do better in that department. There was seating outside, which was also offered, but it was way too hot and humid that day to dine al fresco. We ending up sitting at the bar. Forced tipping: They add a "kitchen appreciation" fee to your bill, which I did not care for. I feel this is tacky, but if they are doing this, it should be posted somewhere that they are, feels sneaky otherwise. The food was very good & I will likely be back to try other dishes.

Inside, there were people at the bar and maybe one table occupied. The rest were open. I could see through the windows that the staff made a big deal about the stroller, they were walking around making hand motions as to where the stroller would "fit" mind you we've been to plenty of restaurants where this has NEVER been an issue. They came out to speak to us twice stating they were looking for a spot. I told my husband we should just eat elsewhere but he insisted on waiting. We did not want to sit outside due to it being hot. The host finally returned and said that they have reservations and can seat us at a table but we have an hour limit due to the reservation. My husband obliged b/c he was hungry, and I was annoyed. We got seated in the back which is fine by the big display of wine and our stroller replaced a chair. Which idk why that wasn't suggested or thought of in the first place. Our server was very nice but the other staff just kept side eyeing us. Dinner was rushed, it was tasty yet over priced. Our baby slept the entire time, No fuss thankfully. What were they to do if they had someone in a wheel chair and couldn't accommodate space? I know the comparison is far fetched compared to a stroller however it was the first time I ever encountered this. Since someone else made a comment about them not being seated due to a stroller, I would suggest avoiding this restaurant if you have small children as it seems it's not welcomed. Again, we were mindful and have been going to dinner before 5pm.

The cannelloni Romano are 3 crepes stuffed with chicken , spinach and cheese and topped with more cheese and a red past sauce. My husband enjoyed them very much. We have actually never seen this served in another Italian restaurant before. My Frutti d Mar was also very delicious, it had scallops, shrimp, clams, mussels and calamari.Served with some linguine in a delicious red broth. So delicious. Now I can understand why this place has been around this long. I heard that the same chef has been making those dishes for 36 years or maybe more. That's a great consistency to have. In contrast there was an Asian man with a black shirt who was also working. He looked lost and completely helpless. There was a moment where this woman was so busy and there was a ringing that I assume was from either a phone call or a delivery order. This man did not offer to help more nor did he help from what I saw. He was utterly helpless and unhelpful. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with the encouragement "Hey help your team out!" The woman on the other hand was doing so many things simultaneously and yet was really kind at the same time. The second time was frustrating because they already knew exactly what had happened and how easily a heel could get caught there. Moving us to another table would have prevented it. The manager was kind and empathetic, and I want to be fair about that. My disappointment is with how the situation was handled after the problem was known. Original name being Conca D' Oro, it was on Tustin Ave and truly a staple of Orange for fine food dining, but due to changes of ownership in the business center, they were forced to move to upper Orange: 8141 E. Chapman Ave. Just take Chapman all the way to the end. It's in the shopping center on the right. Folks, this is not "chain" food but is in fact custom hand made original Italian foods produced to order. Do yourself a favor and call Frank (original chef/owner!) and order your favorite Italian food but do yourself a favor, you absolutely HAVE to order a large pizza of your choice to go, UNCOOKED and for another time or your upcoming family & friends gathering. Awesome Italian place from the same owners as Conca D' Oro, my favorite Italian spot in OC that's been there forever. This place is much more casual and to-go friendly. They're just getting started and were only open for lunch when I went, but they said they'll be open for lunch and dinner sometime next week. I ordered the meatball sub, super flavorful meatballs and they used burrata cheese which balanced out the tang of the marinara. So good! The combination of sweet and spicy sausage, caramelized onions, and mushrooms was excellent. The ingredients tasted fresh and high quality, and you could really taste the difference. But the crust was the standout for me. It was perfectly crisp while still soft and doughy inside the perfect combination. It's honestly one of the best pizza crusts I've had compared with the other pizza places we've tried in the area. We're watching our calories right now, so we skipped the wings this time, but they're definitely next on our list. I also can't wait to try some of the pasta dishes and the gelato! Wise Guys is now at the top of my list for pizza in Orange. The service during our takeout order was excellent. We also didn't have to wait long. The atmosphere is casual, comfortable, and very family-friendly. It has that relaxed neighborhood pizza-place feel where you can come as you are, bring the kids, and enjoy a meal without anything feeling too formal or rushed. Even though it was busy, it felt lively and welcoming. Finding a place we're this excited about means a lot since we're still relatively new to the area and hadn't really found a local spot we were crazy about. That has officially changed! And I'll have to update this review with pictures next time because everything looked so good when it arrived that we just dug in! Everything was just so mushy and plain. I really wish I could get my money back because over 80% of the food was left uneaten. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt by saying that I did get my food to-go, so it could possibly be better fresh, but I'm not hopeful.
