I guess SHRINKflation has hit Braum's on Milwaukee. So disappointed with my one scoop ice cream cone - the scoop was the size of a GOLF BALL. I only got four small bits of ice cream and nothing in the cone. I literally took the empty sugar cone home - never been able to do that in my life. I love their ice cream but the serving size is ridiculously SMALL. I won't bother going back. Find somewhere else to go for ice cream. Total disappointment!!! read more

I'm the outlier here in a higher rating for Braum's and its probably because I'm from CA. We come from CA with our big wallets, so what others perceive as expensive, we see as "dang thats HELLLA cheap" LOL. Just kidding. But I saw these around TX and decided to try it. It's basically fast food. I thought it was more of a sit down place from how it looked outside. But reason I gave the 4 stars because the value. Sorry to say but "Dang thats hella cheap" when I was able to get a combo burger with 2 patties with fries and a shake for $8.99 in 2025. However, the food was kinda bland/mid. I needed seasoning/sauces. But again the portions countered that. I could've kept it a 3 star rating, but again value portion is why I rated it higher. Kids enjoy it. Ice cream isnt high quality or anything but they give you a lot for the price (from a California resident POV). Outside of that, the dining area wasn't appealing, employees were zombies, etc. So much hate it seems here on Yelp, but actually going to the place would say otherwise because it was a steady stream of customers--but then again Yelping isnt a thang in Lubbock, TX compared to the entire state of CA where we live off Yelp to make all our dining decisions hahah read more

My husband and I went to the Braum's at 5002 Milwaukee here in Lubbock today. It's usually a pretty decent place for a quick bite, but today broke us. The dining area was filth. We didn't go until 1:30 PM and there were 2 tables occupied and every table was dirty. There were dead flies on the floor and smudges across the window. It was gross. When we received our order I didn't receive any salad dressing, but in all fairness that's not a huge deal, yet my husband ordered the chicken dinner and didn't receive any fries. Staff not friendly. No smiles, no greetings. No one wearing a hairnet. One gal had long bangs on either side of her face, no hairnet, no gloves. I saw her handling the food in the back. And every now and then she would brush her hair out of her face, then go back to handling the food. Lucky for me, I order an ice cream. Totally different gal and she had her hair pinned back. No one knew what they were doing. There were 12 people working and it took forever to get our food, they forgot the drink, they forgot our ice cream. Then they realized they were out of the ice cream flavor we asked for so we asked for another, they were also out of that. The service was fast. A little too fast. When I opened my burger it looked dry and dark on the edges and more normal looking towards the center of the patty. The meat was obviously not fresh off the grill. The manager was nice and offered to remake it but I took my money back instead. The place was clean. That was my only complaint. Old burger. read more

Firstly, we went for the ice cream. There was no list of flavors, so we had to look at the case. I saw a picture of the peach berry ice cream as advertised, so I decided to go with that. It was not as pictured! I should have looked at the case more closely. It was unappetizing orange colored, and one bite was yuck. The birthday cake one was bright blue colored, and unusual. I am from South Texas, but if I am heading up to the kinfolk in Colorado, I always stop at Braums. It is my absolute favorite place to get a hot fudge sundae. The pecans are buttery and salty tasting and I highly recommend topping your ice cream with them. The hamburgers are great too. And I love browsing around the grocery store part of Brahms. read more

This Braum's location has the most horrible customer service I have ever experience. I usually get a fresh packed bag of ice about 2 twice a week. Every time I go to this location I always have snobby attitudes from the teenagers that work behind counter. They are not kid-friendly at all. When I ask them if they can make me a fresh bag of ice, they point in an derogatory direction saying "why don't you go over there in market and get it yourself." Then, I told her that the shift manager told me that I can always get a fresh bag of ice made whenever I come in to ask for one. Then, she raises her voice at me and throwing her hands up in the air telling her coworkers to go get her shift manager. Like kid, who do you are talking to someone like that. Especially talking my mother like that in front of me when she is just recovering from a knee replacement surgery. Then, I caught looking me and my mother up and down in a dirty smirk look in the reflection of the mirror. I always get the bags of ice freshly made when I go there because my mom has to have ice that is broken up for her knee, not a bag of ice that has been put in the freezer and has a melt, clumped up ice block at the bottom of the bag from it thawing before it freezes back. These teenagers/kids think they have entitlement just because the work at Braum's. I will never patronize this Braum's location again. I will never go back there again because this is not the first time this has happened. My husband, daughter and grandchildren went to this Brahms location this e for dinner. We purchased our meal and asked for a drink cup with a lid for our 2 year old some water. Staff wanted to provide a clear cup with no lid, then wanted me to pay $1.50 for a cup with a lid. I refused to pay for a cup . I explained that my husband and I buy food in the restaurant 4-5 times per week as well as purchasing food in their store and should be provided a small drink cup with a lid as a courtesy. The staff still refused the cup with a lid. I told them that we will not be back to the restaurant. In addition, we have noticed that this location is becoming very unkempt.
