The jalapeno cheddar bratwurst was juicy and brimming with flavor. It had a very nice and noticable smokey taste to it. The casing also provided a nice crisp snap. It was was also the perfect medium spiciness. The french bread they put the sausage in was a new twist! I don't think I'll ever go back to the soft and soggy traditional hotdog buns again. The french bread at Bratzermann contributed a lot texturally with the crispiness of the crust followed by the soft interior which soaked all the meat juices and condiments. The bread also has a heavenly buttery aroma too. So throw your flavorless spongy hotdog buns away now! I'm giving this a 4 star instead of 5 because it took a long time ( about 40 mins) to get my food after I ordered. read more

We tried this food truck at Gunwhale brewery in Costa Mesa. To preface, all food trucks are overpriced. That's just a given. You know what you're getting into. $16+ for two brats, onions and sauerkraut (tip not included). No sides. No drinks. Service was relatively fast and definitely friendly. They charge extra for onions and sauerkraut, which was an unpleasant surprise when we looked at our receipt. Pretty cool concept that they serve their brats in sort of a hollowed out loaf of bread. This makes eating easier and less messy. Both meat and bread were delicious! Enough for a lunch, but by no means super filling. read more

Holy cow these brats wurst were delicious. We ordered the smoked brat and a Nurnberger sausage. Both were excellent. The french rolls were fresh, nice crust with a soft interior. Had the stuffed cheddar, it was so good!! I was afraid the cheddar would be overpowering but it was PERFECT. The guy running the truck recommended it and I'm so glad he did!! Update to my last review. While I still live the food, apparently the ownership has changed. My husband and I were so excited to dine with them last week but oh so disappointed. We placed our order, then waited over 45 minutes to eat. Our order came out with be piece at a time, ten minutes apart, and even after reminding them what we order, we never received the last part of our order. After 90 minutes, as we were leaving, we stopped to get a refund for the item never received. That is when they tried to give us cold food. Something needs to change or they will lose our business. read more

These bratwursts are soo good and especially in the baguette. The bread is fresh, light and crisp which was very nice. At first I thought it may be tough, but was excited that I was wrong. Wow ! What an experience! Been waiting for weeks to see these guys ! As we pulled up, due to slow traffic they were about to close. Without even thinking twice, they stayed open and took our order. I legitimately stumbled across this food truck at a brewery a few days ago and am planning to brewery hop based on where they are at from now on. I got a Smoked Cheddar brat and was impressed by everything from the taste of the brat to the presentation being concealed in a single baguette (making it super easy to enjoy with one hand while you have a beer in the other). It was so good that I actually got a second on the spot because I felt like I did not get enough. My wife also got the Vegan brat and was pleasantly surprised as well because it is difficult to find a good vegan brat in general.
