    Smoked Brat
    Nathan R.

Holy cow these brats wurst were delicious. We ordered the smoked brat and a Nurnberger sausage. Both were excellent. The french rolls were fresh, nice crust with a soft interior. The sauerkraut was great as was the mustard. I cannot wait to grab more and you cant beat the price! I highly recommend Bratzermann and they can be found around at local breweries. They pair nicely with pilsners and lagers!

Had the stuffed cheddar, it was so good!! I was afraid the cheddar would be overpowering but it was PERFECT. The guy running the truck recommended it and I'm so glad he did!! It came in a French bread roll with onions, sauerkraut, ketchup and mustard. They were parked outside noble brewery in Anaheim. Overall, great brat and paired perfectly with the beer there. Next time I go I'll be hoping they're there!!

Service was great! Got their new smash burger. Buns could use more toasting and I would've liked my onions grilled but that's just preference. Burger itself was great, perfect seasoning and juicy. Since this is a bratwurst truck, I'd recommend their jalapeno cheddar.

Had my first Brat this weekend which had cheddar cheese in it. It perfectly filled the French roll and was so easy to eat. I can't wait to go again and try some more.

Food is ordered up front and beer is in the back bar area. The beers are all German and Belgian which is a nice change from most places. They have many styles of sausages and you can top them with any of their toppings. There's even vegetarian sausages so no one is left out. Belgian fries cooked 3 times is their other specialty served with a bunch of sauce options. There's an outdoor patio area and the bar area inside where most of the seating is. It took me too long to visit here but I'll be back soon.

Their concept focused on gourmet sausages, Belgian and German beers, communal dining tables, and a relaxed social atmosphere. We came here with our group our friend and got to feast upon some dogs and wursts. One of the interesting features that have is that they carry exotic proteins such as alligators, rabbit, or rattlesnake in their links; but if you're more of a vanilla eater, than you're probably opt for the beef, pork or chicken flavored. Either way, make sure you pair it with any of their 10+ beers on tap and you'll for sure enjoy every moment of that bite. I ordered their cheddar bratwurst topped with pickled jalapenos and carmelized onions in a pretzel bun. The wurst was kind of the dry side but beer always helps. I do think sometimes that they over cook it which drys out all the delicious fat out of the links but I am here for drinks and a good time. Great spot to hang out for any type of gathering.

We've actually been to another restaurant under the same company as Rasselbock, so we were delighted to be able to stop by since it's close by! We parked in the very back of the restaurant in the little plaza, and were seated with ease. They have indoor seating and outdoor seating, especially for furry friends. We originally sat inside, but our friend brought his dog, so we moved outside. We had ordered several drinks and had sat at the restaurant for over 6 hours. We ordered a range of BRLO IPA, Hacker, their seasonal beer, and more. As for food, we ordered their jagerscnitzel, Brussels sprouts, truffle fries, spatzle, and beignets! Our friend ordered their bratwurst with sauerkraut. We were very impressed with how delicious and fresh everything was. It was extremely savory and crispy. Quite addicting alongside our beers. Our servers were very delightful and very accommodating to our needs. They provided support and checked in on us frequently. We never were rushed to leave and were able to enjoy our conversations. I'm an advocate for good food, good service, and great brews! Please expect us to be back!

Had to ask him to wipe down the side of the table that had water on it from the rain. Had to pull out the bench to get in. I don't know, just stuff I'd expect the server to handle or ask or be more attentive to instead of waiting for me to address it. Food was okay but not a place I'd really come back to

I've been here 3 times and it always hits the spot. The servers here are super attentive and friendly. The outdoor seating is also super sweet; you can get a view of the boardwalk while you eat. Moule in white wine sauce, 9/10: Star of the show for sure. Mussels are cooked nicely. They come piping hot in the pot with the white wine garlic sauce that perfectly accompanies the natural flavor of the mussels. So smart to serve it in the small pot since it keeps the mussels hot and you can scoop the sauce with the shell. They taste fresh and not slimy at all. I appreciated how you can choose the quantity of mussels you want. Frites, 9/10: Pretty much exactly how it tasted in Belgium. Slightly thicker cut fries with mayo and ketchup. Seasoned well and the inside of the fry is still pillowy and warm. Bolognese, 8.5/10: Well-rounded bolognese with a good amount of meat sauce; they did not skimp out on it. Very well-seasoned dish that pairs well with the parmigiano and chili flakes. It also serves as a good pasta dish to eat with the mussels. My only gripe is the noodles could have been a bit more al dente.

The escargot a favorite of ours. Re-used shells ok whatever but at least put a bigger piece of meat in there. The shells were filled with oil and some greens but the meat of the "escargot " was a little bit bigger than a pea! The fresh bread was great. Salad Endive - ehh chunks of ham??? Couldn't parent it better or just cheap meat? Steak was very tough. I had to spit a part out bc of the sinew. Then the frozen garlic butter hockey puck!! How do you expect people to put this or use this when it's frozen solid? The meat isn't hot enough to melt it. Overall you need to do better. Won't be coming back anytime soon unfortunately!

We were daunted by the 1.5 hr drive to where we were staying and hoped that eating closer would save some time later. It did! Rasselbock is a bit hidden away but we found it with street metered parking nearby. We had arranged for a reservation but we hardly needed it. The place was mostly empty when we arrived. Music was thumping, and not German music. It was classic rock but a touch too loud. So keep that in mind. I appreciated that they had Erdinger beer. That's some of the best beer around. I chose the non alcoholic since I had a drive ahead. I was told it might not be cold enough and the server brought me the bottle to sample it by touch. I cheerfully noted Germans don't drink very cold beer and it was fine. My wife and I ordered schnitzels, she chicken and I pork. She had the Oma's potato salad - which with mustard and mayo really would not have passed muster with a real Oma like mine. She reported it was good anyway. I had spaetzle and cucumber dill salad. The kids both had a bratwurst, salad and fries. On the whole the schnitzels were good. Not entirely authentic but USA-good enough. I'd say the same for my spaetzle and salad. One kid liked the bratwurst, one didn't. I found what I tried of the sausage to be pretty good. The stone ground mustard was particularly good. Service was a little slow to start but the food came quickly and we were off. A 4.2 rounds to a flat 4. German food is hard to come by anywhere, so I welcome it. Especially with a good selection of beer. They serve multiple sizes included a liter "mass." Sounds great but I think those days are behind me. Definitely worth a try.
