Food was super good! Drinks were good! Everything was good. I got the waffellte , and spinach dip 10/10. Also, the vibe inside the restaurant was super nice. Service was smooth and quick , no complaints at all for this place. Definitely will go back to try more

Brandon's Bistro!! 10/10 Food - amazing Service - wonderful Ambiance - super chill My favorite is the fried chicken. I love getting it with French toast. Soooo flavorful and good. Drink options could be better but overall a great spot for a casual brunch!

Oxtail and Grits
Joe Y.

We had the Oxtail and Grits which you get three large and meaty oxtails on a bed of grits whic were creamy, but had a nice constancy, however these are definitely not your mom's or grandma made. This restaurant is small whereas you'll need to make reservations, but the service is quick and on point. The restaurant is mildly upscale. You don't have to be concerned very much about just anyone walking in who do belong there, but do what makes you comfortable.

Chicken Biscuits

Absolutely delicious small establishment located at the intersection of Pines and Hiatus. We went for a Saturday Brunch, and thought it seemed a bit pricey at first... but once you see the portions and taste the dishes, it's absolutely well worth it. We got the Chicken Biscuits, which were incredible. You get two huge chicken biscuits which were both dense and exceptionally flaky, a fried chicken thigh, egg of your choice, and gruyère cheese... one of the best biscuits dishes i've ever had. My girlfriend got the Coho Salmon, which was not as decadent but very tasty and the salmon was cooked perfectly. Some of the best grits i've also had. We will be back. Compliments to the chef!

I've wanting to come here for the longest and I finally made it. We came on a Sunday at about 10am without a reservation. When we came in there was plenty sits available however when we left it was packed. The service was great the entire time. Food does take its time to arrive as the make it to order. Great vibes. I tried their new chocolate espresso martini and one was enough lol that had me spinning ‍ To eat I had the chicken and cornbread waffles which were absolutely delicious 10/10. The waffles were sweet and not dry. The chicken was so crispy but juicy inside and very well seasoned. It is a half bone in chicken. We shared the cornbread which was huge , delicious and moist. Hubby had the blackened salmon with egg and grits. He really enjoyed his dish but which there was more eggs on the plate. Overall I recommend and want to be back.

I went here twice and both times were exceptional! Absolutely loved the food; the menu is well balanced and offers the key classics for a great southern brunch or lunch. I love that this places takes reservations, and I recommend you make one because the inside is very small. I also recommend going on a weekday when they aren't as busy because the kitchen can easily become backed up since everything is made fresh. We did have a long wait during one of our visits; however, the food was so worth it! The only real problem I have with this place is how small the area is. The inside is pretty and clean, but the tables are so closely together, so you're definitely having dinner with everyone

French toast

This was my second time coming here and once again, the food came out hot and fresh. I happened to catch their happy hour and saw half off drinks so why not order two? The oxtails were tender and flavorful. The sweet mashed potatoes were just okay for me; they were a bit too sweet and I personally would've preferred a garlic mash to balance it out. Our waitress was super sweet and really attentive, which made the experience even better. There's music playing in the background and you are able to have a conversation too. I ordered the oxtails with sweet mashed potatoes, Bistro Punch, Strawberry VSOP, and the sweet chili shrimp. Overall, a great visit and the spot to eat.

Cute little Bistro. The flavors will surprise you. Nice Caribbean blend , I ordered the shrimp Appetizer , with a touch of chilli. The taste was perfect, with some sesame for crunch and the sweet chilli compliments the hint of coconut in the fried batter. Delicious. The avocado toast, one of the best I've had. The thick Texas style toast but an upgraded multi grain , the blend of flavors play off each other very well. The finely chopped onion relish and the sweet sauces sprinkled across it. Delicious delicious. An elevated avocado toast. The chicken and waffles, it's all in the batter. Perfect crunch and flavor. Really delicious. The menu is packed with so many wonderful options. We must try some other options on our return. Great service . TY. We recommend it

I had such a great experience at Brandon Bistro in Pembroke Pines! From the moment we walked in, everything felt welcoming and relaxed. The place is clean, cozy, and a perfect size not too big, but just enough space to feel comfortable. We ordered the Catfish & Grits and the Shrimp & Grits both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were light, well-seasoned, and super satisfying without feeling too heavy. We also tried a side pancake and the sweet potato hash both were amazing and balanced out the savory dishes perfectly. Our waitress, Chris, was truly the cherry on top. She was friendly, attentive, and made fantastic recommendations. You can tell she really enjoys what she does and wants you to enjoy your meal too. A nice bonus: if you save your receipt and return within 30 days, you get a discount on your next visit which I'll definitely be doing! Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. Solid 10/10.

Mac & Cheese
Karen R.

This is one of those places that you have to come hungry because everything on the menu looks delicious. The food we ordered, which was mac & cheese and a chicken biscuit sandwich that came with an egg was perfection. The mac & cheese was probably one of the best that I've ever had and I love mac & cheese. The food is served fresh. We also experience very good service, she was a tensive and asked if we had any questions, even the host was very welcoming. The ambience was nice inside, but it was very warm, maybe the open windows or the kitchen being close to the tables. Also, I ordered a drink which was supposed to be a margarita and it tasted nothing like it, I couldn't drink it because it wasn't very good so maybe this is not a place to drink and focus on the delicious food. We will be back.

Brandons Bistro was a solid 7/10. There's a pretty backdrop for pictures near the entrance and there was a polite young lady that greeted us when we came in. We got there around 10:30am and it wasn't too packed but it definitely got busier around 11am. The tables are close to each other since the restaurant isn't that spacious so it was pretty loud and hard to hear each other. The food was good though, not something I would keep coming back for want but it was a filling meal. The portion sizes are good and everything is cooked to order so the wait was around 20 minutes. The orange juice was okay. It was freshly squeezed so it had pulp in it which I wasn't a fan of, and it also comes with no ice so if you like your drinks cold remember to ask for that! The Catfish PoBoy was a 10/10. The flavor was amazing and they gave more than enough food. It came with a side of fries. The Bistro Omelette was a 7/10. It had chicken inside and some other vegetables and it wasn't bad but i've had better. I would recommend going with something else unless you're a heavy omelette lover. Our total came out to be $55. Overall, it was an okay experience. If you've been eyeing it for a while, like I was, I say to try it out.

This food is spectacular! Great service! Second time here! Small but potent and everyone here has a smile. Great music! Feels like home. Notes like the one on the takeaway bag is what sets this place apart!

That food!!!

For starters we had the lobster fritters which I was imagining something completely different. It was not terrible but I didn't enjoy it. For dinner I had the lobster and shrimp Alfredo pasta which was so flavorful. We also had the oxtail with white rice and plantain which the oxtail was tender and flavorful. We came across Kekoon Restaurant & Lounge in Davie, FL and made reservations, which I highly recommend. The restaurant itself is very nice, with plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. Before we even walked in, we could hear the music from outside and already knew the vibes were going to be on point. Once inside, we were greeted by the hostess and, after a short wait, taken to our table and introduced to our waitress for the night. Our waitress, Ginger, was absolutely beautiful and took great care of us throughout the evening shoutout to her for the excellent service. Since it's a restaurant and lounge, we ordered drinks and appetizers for the table. The oxtail egg rolls were our favorite definitely a must-try. The coconut bang bang shrimp wasn't the best; it was falling apart. The salmon bombs were just okay, and the truffle fries weren't really truffling, if you know what I mean. The drinks were good, but the presentation and taste weren't consistent. We ordered two rounds. I had the Watermelon Pomegranate Cosmopolitan, and my sister ordered the blueberry Don Julio mint mojito and the dragonfruit margarita. One thing to note: there are no prices on the menu, so be prepared to spend money. Drinks were around $20, and a shot was $15, which felt a bit steep considering the location isn't beachfront. Around 11:30 p.m. midnight, a young lady came around offering hookah service. We ordered the blueberry mint hookah for $90, but unfortunately it started getting harsh after about 15 minutes. A quick restroom note: only one of the two toilets was working, and it had run out of toilet paper, which was disappointing especially since the place wasn't even packed. Overall, we had a decent time. The vibes, music, and service (especially Ginger) were highlights, but there are definitely some areas that could use improvement for the price point.

I came to The Jerk Spot because of its high Yelp ratings. The pictures looked amazing, and what…read morereally stood out to me was that the reviews were recent and consistently highly rated. That matters because a lot of places start strong when they first open and then quality slowly drops over time. Consistency is everything. Walking in, the place itself is very unassuming--simple, clean, and not trying too hard. To me, that's actually a good sign. I'd rather a restaurant put its energy into the food instead of relying on flashy decor to draw people in. My first thought was: they let the food speak for itself, and I respect that. The ladies working there were very friendly and welcoming. There were already people inside when I arrived, and while I waited, even more people kept coming in. Another great sign--if people aren't being pulled in by appearances, they're definitely coming back for the food. I ordered the large jerk chicken with rice and peas, sweet plantains, vegetables, and jerk sauce on the side. I also ordered two spicy Jamaican patties. I'm not exaggerating when I say I took two bites and immediately came to write this review. The chicken is juicy and tastes like it was freshly cooked. The rice and peas are soft and fresh. The vegetables were crisp, the plantains were perfectly sweet, and the jerk sauce was delicious with a nice kick to it. Nothing tasted like a mass-produced commercial kitchen meal. I don't have a Jamaican aunty, but this tasted like the kind of food I'd expect from showing up to family dinner at a relative's house--homemade, comforting, and made with care. The portions were generous too. I haven't tried the patties yet because I'm saving those for my husband, but they're large, flaky, and still holding their warmth really well. I came here because of Yelp reviews, so I wanted to do my part and keep spreading the word. Easy 10/10 -- I'd absolutely come back again.

The room was clean with vibrant green wall paint which blended nicely with the Jamaican theme. Ordered a mild spice Jamaican patty offered in a thin paper baggy.
