I think this was my first time trying Roasting Buddies, even though my fiancee swears we have been here before. We ordered some coffee and pastries for Togo before being on our way to run errands. I was craving Nutella for some reason so I ordered the Nutella frappe and she ordered iced hazelnut latte with oat milk. We also ordered Nutella croissant, beef empanadas, pan de Bono, and ham and cheese. For me, I must have ordered the wrong coffee drink because it wasn't anything too special or out of the ordinary. I didn't like my fiancée's coffee either. But the highlight of today's order was beef empanadas for me. Get it warmed up and order yourself one and tell me what you think. Unless I have been super hungry, it is one of the better empanadas I have tasted. Pan de bono was good too, it had a nice taste and texture. Their prices also seemed fair and overly expensive like some coffee shops price their items at. They offer ample seating spaces inside. I would be back in the future. This was our first time trying Roasting Buddies, and honestly, I had high hopes. The shop itself is beautiful, very clean, and surprisingly not packed considering it was Mother's Day. We ordered a juice, a latte, and some empanadas. The empanadas looked amazing, but unfortunately lacked flavor. The juice was served room temperature when it really could've been colder and more refreshing. The biggest disappointment was the service. After waiting 35 minutes for my latte, I finally had to go ask about it myself. There was no apology, no acknowledgment, just "we'll make it." After another 5 minutes of waiting, I noticed the cashier remind the barista again. She eventually brought the latte to the table, dropped it off, and walked away -- no "thank you for waiting," no apology, nothing. It's a shame because the place has so much potential, but customer service can completely change the experience. Sadly, after this visit, we won't be coming back. Roasting Brothers absolutely crushed it. The staff were so friendly it felt like they slipped kindness into the coffee beans. The food came out fast enough to make me wonder if they had a mind reader in the kitchen. The coffee was smooth and perfectly balanced with not a hint of bitterness just pure happiness in a cup. The pastries were amazing and the empanadas disappeared so fast we could not even get a picture. That alone says it all. I have been coming here ever since I tasted the beef empanada. I hate when you get a meat pastry and its either its super oily,no meat filling inside or the pastry tastes horrible. This is not the case here I will vouch for all the empanadas here. They are the absolute best they are filled with meat and the crust on the pastry is not to flaky it is just right. All the meats are seasoned well. This place is for coffee,sweet treats and some breakfast food and these wonderful empanadas. I have not gotten to the other things they offer as I am in love with the empanadas. I also has a freshly squeezed orange juice which was good too.The service is good not too bad. The ambiance of the establishment is quaint has sitting areas and some small sitting areas to sit and eat not great for a big party. This coffee shop is near my home, and I visit it often when I take my boys to get a haircut next door. The staff is truly amazing, very nice, and hardworking. I also love the decor with different types of seating, giving it a very homey feel. They offer different types of coffee options, both iced and hot as well as pastries, sandwiches and other dishes. I always order the Caprese sandwich, always tasty to say the least. One thing I have ordered that could be improved would be the avocado toast. It's just a piece of toast with plain smashed avocado, nothing great about it and quite flavorless. If they changed it up, adding ingredients and spices to it, it would elevate it. I came here after a very nerve-wracking medical appointment & was so glad that I stopped in. I ordered their Green Wrap which contains fresh spinach, scrambled eggs, mozzarella cheese in a whole wheat style wrap. It was very tasty & filling. I had to take 1/2 home. I also ordered their americano coffee & it was smooth, rich & delicious. To go I ordered 4 empanadas - the vacio (think ropa vieja) was well seasoned. The four cheese was absolutely amazing! The caprese had diced tomatoes which I welcomed vs the sliced ones I sometimes find. But the reason these were one of the best I've had is their dough! Found this little gem right next to my Drs. and decided to try it, and I'm glad I did !!! Super cute and cozy. The lady who took my order helped me choose what to get. I ordered a four cheese empanada, avocado toast ( with the works) I believe it was the BLT.... it had tomatoes, bacon, eggs ( i asked for egg whites) and ricotta cheese. It was big and delish !! As far as coffee goes I am not a fan, I first ordered a cold brew vanilla and coconut and was not happy with the taste, I asked for something else and they changed it right away for a iced vanilla coffee with 2% , again not a fan of the taste. Great coffee shop and cafe. Last I had been here was during peak hours on a weekend, returned during the week and it was a zen place with music and a couple people working on laptops. In my eternal quest for late breakfast/brunch places, Yelp suggested this place somewhat near where I work, and with a 4+ rating I felt compelled to check it out. The VERDICT: while I only had one dish and a latte, that, coupled with the ambiance, solidified my original impression (as a walked from parking to the establishment) that this seemed like a BASIC place; once inside, I also found it to have SOLID SERVICE - staff was nice, responsive, and attentive. While menu offers a repertoire of food and coffee choices, from what I tried, Food also seemed basic - I can't go as far as calling it solid. First impression was the shopping mall itself, which is a flashback to a 70's Florida strip mall - I personally found it off-putting. The establishment's entrance aluminum door frame is black, and records its history with layers of encrusted gunk all around - in hindsight, that was somewhat foretelling of experience to come. Inside, it looks like at some point (many years ago) it was a cool trendy spot, but the 'used and abused' industrial meets barn house look is now largely the outcome of the passing of time and no longer because it was designed-in. It looks like place may have been envisioned by a designer, except that cousin Vini stepped in and said: hey, we can do this ourselves. The shiny painted and bowed drop-ceiling tiles are a giveaway to its age. Onto the food, the GOOD: it was VERY reasonably priced and a decent portion. I had a ham and cheese omelette with the breakfast potatoes. The cheese was cheddar vs the default mozzarella; however, had I not checked that it was indeed cheddar inside, I would have guessed Kraft individually-wrapped singles American cheese. The omelette tasted 'sweet' and as not having been made with high-quality ingredients (which was reflected in the price of $10 with potatoes, ham, cheese, other veggies and toast). At this price range, the potatoes were needless to say, not cooked to order, and they tasted as if they had just sprinkled them with some general purpose 'dry' spice seasoning - I couldn't get through them, but I'm finicky for those things. The latte had a completely underwhelming mild coffee flavor. It was very lightly colored and mildly warm - I personally enjoy more-than-hot lattes. To conclude, it's not a terrible place, but next to it there was a McDonald's, and I was so unsatisfied with my meal that I seriously considered driving through for a QP with cheese and bacon. read more

It was our day off and we dropped off the kids. This place is near school, so we tried it. According to the menu they sell many things. They just opened, so not everything was in the display cases. We had some coffees. One was "cofffee temperature", the other was not. I suppose that works, since my wife usually drinks iced coffee. We were approached in Spanish, which we do not speak. Fortunately, they cater to all. According to the signage, they serve lunch and dinner besides bring a coffee place. The decor was cool. The staff wore gloves. Cute little place with outdoor and indoor seating. You walk in and order at the counter then they bring the food to your table. Tables are first come, first serve. Seating consists of regular tables, benches, high tops and one seating with couch and love seat. They serve a variety of hot, iced and frappes. They also have fresh juices, full breakfast entrees, sandwiches, empanadas, pastries and desserts. I've only been there for breakfast so I can't comment on their lunch items. We got the RB classic breakfast that comes 2 almond milk pancakes, 2 proteins (we got ham and sausage Patty), potatoes, 2 eggs any style and a roll. Was definitely enough to share. My husband got the croissant sandwich. Both were very filling and delicious. The almond milk pancakes were super fluffy. The crossiant was nice and crispy. My kids had Pan de bonos and they chomped those down. I had the Nutella iced coffee. It was good but didn't really taste like Nutella. It tasted more like a mocha. The food is good BUT I do have some qualms about it. For example, the bacon side was kind of expensive and the egg hash was small as well for fourteen dollars. The taste was good, it wasn't my favorite thing of theirs but not bad, just not for me. The prices also may have played a role in that tbh. Overall, I love the ambience, especially when it's quiet.
