They are super patient and attentive with what I'm looking for and always offer me coupons which I greatly appreciate! The selection is amazing and they have specials all the time. For all you geeks, comic nerds, fan boys and girls this is the store for you. Ever since I was a kid I've been fascinated by the lives of our favorite superheroes and villains. This store always brings back a nostalgic feeling and helps me take a walk down memory lane. You'll find games, trinkets, clothes, etc. inspired by all your favorites. Now I don't want to start the debate of who's better DC or Marvel but let's just say this particular store is only recieving 3 stars due to its lack of love for the Dark Knight and the rest of his Justice League buddies. Don't get me wrong the hype at the moment is the Marvel movies (which are great) and you have to do what's right for business. Just don't forget that comic geeks are a loyal fanbase and we want our Batman and Joker. I'll be sure to visit again and update the number of stars based on what's in stock at the time. read more

The staff makes me so uncomfortable. I went in there with my friend and were looking at some merchandise when a girl that works there with brown hair just kept following us and mad dogging us the whole entire time. Even when she rang me up, she just gave me a bad attitude. I thought I was reading to much into it so I asked my friend if she thought that employee was mad and she said "no, she hated you"....Like why? I don't know the girl!!! lol I honestly didn't go back to BoxLunch for a while after that experience, but I got over it and I went back again this week. MISTAKE This bigger, white chick with blonde hair was just is rude! She was like "Do you need help finding something?" The moment I walked in and I was like "No, I'm good" so then the whole entire time I was there she kept following me asking me if I needed anything (Mind you I wasn't the only person in the store) It made me so uncomfortable! All I was doing was wondering if I should spend $80 on a jacket, that's all I was doing! And the employee was acting so panicky like I was going to stealing that made me so nervous. And for what reason? I don't deserve that. I don't know if they target people of color because there's absolutely no reason why the moment I walk in two different employees on 2 different occasions just zoomed in on me for no reason especially since I never shop there. Maybe the employees should focus more on wage theft. read more

I feel like BoxLunch is what "the new" Hot Topic aspires to be. (There will be a Hot Topic review to follow, stay tuned.) What I love about BoxLunch is that there is something for everyone. You want 90s nostalgia? You got it. You want Disney? You got it. You want Game of Thrones/ Harry Potter/ Marvel/ DC/ Sailor Moon/ ETC! .... you got it. For me, I don't shop enough to keep up with the theme rotation that goes on in this store, but the employees know exactly where everything is. I described a shirt I saw and it wasn't in the same place it was the previous time I stopped in but, oh you betcha, they knew exactly where it was. It's very organized in its chaos. And by chaos, I mean wall to wall merchandise. Its kinda cramped but its just because there is SO MUCH STUFF. read more

Good evening, I just wanted to let you know that I am very disappointed in one of your team member's customer service practices. I made a purchase tonight from Box Lunch at the Antelope Valley Mall and it was being covered by a cashier named either Daniel (1486757) or Garrett (120588) not sure what his name is both appear on the receipt. He said he was from the Northridge, CA store. I proceeded to let him know I had my ID for military discount and he said it was for active duty only. This is new to me since other stores honored my veteran ID. I told him I didn't know it was only for active duty. He told me he was subbing for this store and wasn't about to get fired over my two dollar discount. Not sure where the anger and aggressiveness stemmed from me asking a question or gaining clarification. I thought it was very unprofessional and not the "Box Lunch" customer service that I've come to know. I hope you consider retraining this employee because it was very rude and embarrassing. He made it seem like if I was desperate to receive a discount. Also, I would be careful having him take care of your store since he's from Northridge and could care less about the Antelope Valley's Box Lunch store reputation. Thanks for your time. read more

Dec. 2022 - Christmas shopping made fun! A Greeter at the door helped me find a particular item ( a Sally Hoodie, Nightmare before Christmas), but they had't any in the size I needed. He checked in back and found none, then proceeded to work with a checkout person to order the exact size I asked for, shipped to my house with no shipping charge. It arrived in plenty of time. I couldn't have expected a better shopping experience... I received what I wanted without carrying it around the mall with me. It reminded me of the Disney World trip we took a while back. When you bought something at any in-park store, they had it delivered to your hotel desk. Amazingly convenient. Probably caused us to spend more than we would have otherwise! read more

The reason I am giving the one star is based on the customer service I have been receiving. The products are worth 5 stars! The products here are really nice and have great material. Sometimes the price can seem a bit expensive but you can get discounts, so most of the time you won't be paying the full amount. I know there are lots of employees here, and there are some that are always kind and helpful! However, there is one particular person who is always at the cashier and goes by the name Nick. He is sometimes a "kind and helpful" person but from what I have experienced with him he is only kind and helpful when he wants to be. What I mean is that he is rude. When you ask him for help he gives off an attitude like it's a bother. Due to this reason I have stopped attending box lunch. It's unfair that the other employees show great customer service, while this person is there being rude. It seems like he does not want to be there? I would like the upper management to please look into it. I thought that maybe he might be having a bad day but he constantly acts this way. read more

First time coming here, I was in the area and we wanted to check out the mall here. Walking and found this awesome store named box lunch. Store is cool and my wife and kids loved it. Prices are good and selection is good also. I want to thank the gentlemen that help us on Friday January 10 2020 find my wife and I matching lady and the tramp sweaters right before the store closed. Other places and other unkind workers would have said " sorry we are closing" or " sorry that's all we have there". But Charles, took the time and skill to help us. Now and days you can't get people to even work let alone be kind to customers. Kudos to the management and Charles for a great experience Thank you!!!! We shall return soon. read more

I purchased 4 T-shirt's from your Palmdale, CA location inside the Antelope Valley Mall on Wednesday July 10th. I attempted to return the 4 T-shirt's today at the same location. The T-shirt's still had the tags attached and were never worn. I didn't have my receipt but I had the card I used to purchase them, the tags still attached to the T-shirt's, and my account info to pull up my box lunch account. The cashier/manager named Kris rudely informed me that store credit was the only option. It's 2019 and with the card I used to purchase said items and the original tags I could use that to return items at target, Disney, Walmart, and many other stores. So I found it difficult to comprehend that store credit was the only option. When I asked to speak to someone hirer up, she then informed me that "I won't be wasting my time helping you and to call corporate myself". That is the rudest thing anyone can say to a paying customer. She gave me my store credit which is not what I wanted. I've emailed corporate and I hope someone who puts the values of quality customer service first to resolve my issue and not person who refused to help me cuz it was a waste of her time, with a store of people watching. read more
