Such a cute little place, perfect for a catch up lunch with friends. Veggie potstickers $12.99 were delicious and it was my first time trying Kimbop $12.99. I got the SPAM Kimbop and really enjoyed it. There are a lot of enticing items on the menu so I'll have to come back to try more. Sweet potato noodles? Yes, please! Ahi Poke Salad? Gimme gimme. It was really quiet when we arrived but then slowly filled up as afternoon turned to evening. Service was delightful.

    Sea food pancake. Very sad

They killed my seafood pancake :( was looking forward to it after not having it for few years. Been coming here for 8 years! And service was non existent today. First pic was today. The crispier golden brown one is what it was 3 years ago :(((

$35 Galbi and $11 Soy Glazed Potatoes

There are 8 pieces of beef in a $35 Galbi dish. The potatoes are a little bit saltier than the other locations that are now closed.

It's really a high 3 for me so I'm rounding it to 4. I thought some of the items were a bit on the pricey side. Sundubu would've been $18 before adding protein. That's my usual go to at Korean restaurants :(. I still prefer Gangnam Tofu in general for Korean food in the area. Anyway, we thought the food was decent and they have many Korean comfort food options too. I was surprised to see them selling ice cream unattended. Society hasn't failed me here since people are abiding by the honor system.

Decided to come here for a quick lunch on a weekday and it did not disappoint. There was plenty of seating and we were quickly greeted by staff and seated. I ordered the wings and lunch special with beef bulgogi. The beef bulgogi plate and portions were great for the price. All of the sides were great too. The wings were okay in my opinion; if you're looking for wings there are other amazing local spots that specialize in KFC. Overall it's a great place to stop in and grab a quick lunch or dinner!

Yummy treats await you. Flavors of home, comfort and warmth invite you to stay a while. Plenty of natural light. Greeted with smiles upon crossing the threshold. Full pane windows from floor to ceiling. I will return because the menu has so many options.

Great, quick service. Clean restaurant. Kid freindly, big portions. I definitely will return

    Right tag, wrong meal.

Ordered from the website last night because I was at work and had a co-worker pick up my order- Beef Tofu Stew w. Rice Cakes and Spicy wings. I opted for tteokbokki bc I was going to have the stew for lunch on my overnight shift and tteokbokki holds up better than ramen. Nothing better to lift your spirits on a cold rainy night than beef tofu stew, right? Imagine my disappointment when I cracked into my stew half way into my 12 hour shift and found bloated, soggy, fall apart ramen. Lowkey ruined my night. The tag on my bag was right, but the meal wasn't. (Order #97007)

This litte Gem we found in Albany for some authentic Korean food is amazing! The food is delicious the service is great! Prices are very fair fair. Small space but very comfortable! The wings are phenomenal the ramen is ao good served in a hot bowl and we loved the kimchi potstickers!!!!! The food here is soooooooo good!!!! And the servers are so sweet. Pricing is fair. For three people we spent $95 before tip with leftovers!!!! Keep this place around!

Used to love going to the Bowl'd in Albany and was so excited to try out this branch in Alameda. Unfortunately, quality and flavor is just not what it used to be. Jhap chae in specific had an overpowering mushroom flavor that wasn't my preference and the fried chicken had no flavor.

A Korean restaurant on Solano Avenue. I ordered kimchi fried rice, and it came with some side dishes. Maybe they were busy, the service felt a bit curt. Overall, it was neither great nor bad. The atmosphere was nice though.

I came here for lunch with a coworker. It's my first time trying a bento box here, and portion size is pretty good! I haven't been here for some time now, but the fried chicken is still as good as I remember. Very quiet on a weekday lunch. Parking was super easy to find on the street. Service was good. I should come back more frequently!

My family loves this place and for good reason. It is veg friendly and offers multigrain rice options for all their dishes. We came in for a weekday dinner, found street parking right outside the restaurant and was seated immediately. I ordered a beef kimbop and the ginseng chicken stew. They gave 2 sets of side dishes as well. The kimbop with multigrain rice was really yummy, packed with veggies and flavorful beef. The ginseng chicken stew was okay. The soup didn't have much ginseng flavor, and the sticky rice and chestnuts inside the chicken was undercooked and still hard. The chicken was tender and did absorb some of the ginseng flavor which was nice. Service was beautiful, you know it's good when they anticipate your needs. My sister was sniffling over the spicy ramen and the server came over with a stack of napkins. How nice Overall, pretty good, a bit disappointed with the ginseng chicken stew, but still a solid Korean spot on Solano

Ask the Community - Bowl'd Korean Rice Bar

Is the Ginseng Chicken soup gluten-free?

I wouldn't think so. There's rice inside the chicken.

    Is there outside seating?

They no longer have an outdoor area. All indoors.

Hi I am vegetarian,so question is your food all is vegetarian ? Garlic and onion inside the food?

They have vegetarian options available and I am assuming it has garlic and onion in some of the dishes. The business is operating so I would recommend looking at their menu or you can always go in and ask.

I used to be a regular here but haven't been back for about 6-9 months. Nicely renovated inside, but the wait staff is all new (to me), and the food taste slightly different. Is this under new management/owner?

Why is this restaurant listed as vegan, vegetarian???? I don't even see vegetarian protein options.

The Buckwheat works, a cold buckwheat noodle dish, is listed as vegan on the menu, although omnivores have the option to add meat. Other dishes can be ordered w/ tofu.

It's on Solano Avenue so it's in an area with a lot of other food spots. They have great friendly service that made us feel welcomed when we entered the store. We got their Spicy Pork Belly Rice Bowl, Beef Tofu Soup, Rose Tteokbokki, and Spicy Cold Noodles. I personally liked the rice bowl and the tofu soup the best! They both had a nice comforting vibe to each dish that I really liked. Their cold noodles and rose tteokbokki were not bad either, but I personally didn't find them to be too memorable. They have a cute patio in the back that we didn't get to sit at, but I heard is very cute. I'd love to come back to try their lunch sets as well! The interior is calm with great use of wood colours, the outdoor patio is brilliantly shaded by trees, providing a little secret treehouse vibe like in Pokemon ruby. Outside was pretty popping though so I sat inside and ordered the bulgogi comfort stew. This thing was stuffed to the brim. From the description it's easy to feel like it's going to be a pretty boring dish, but it was far from. The broth was definitely comforting, I didn't care about anything after the first taste. There were different varieties of mushrooms inside providing adequate texture variation and the beef portion was generous! Usually I find myself hoarding meat in these stews to make sure I get good bites but the dish deceptively had a great amount such that I could eat a solo meat bite and still have enough! The banchan was also very flavourful. I ended up stuffed in this little hideaway, surrounded by the supermarket portion of this establishment and the calming hiphop lofi, if I was heading straight back home I would have grabbed a few things. It was hard to fault this place. Throw back to my stomach rumbling, before I left I used the restroom in the front and unfortunately the cosy hideaway, clean aesthetic seems to end at the little corridor. The bathroom was not dirty but it was not as clean as expected. Service was great and the food tasted amazing, I'd definitely come back to try other dishes

What I got: 8 pc sweet gochujang wings (sauce was called YANG'YUM') and a side of tots with a cup for water **the wings were from Chimmelier and the tots were from Oh G Burger We were able to combine two tables together to fit our group of 5 and the cashier brought our food over in quick succession. The tots were my fav even tho the wings were supposed to be the star of the show. I liked how they gave me PLENTY of disposable gloves because the sauce is v sticky. Gochujang is a savory, sweet Korean chili paste, but I would say it was more sweet than spicy. I enjoyed my meal but maybe would wanna try a dry rub because putting on gloves every time can be a chore. I went for a yelp elite perk once and grabbed their chicken sando which was tasty.

What a cute little shop for to-go Japanese sushi!…read more Kyoto came up in my search for takeout sushi since I wanted something light for lunch (we had reservations for Fogo de Chao later that evening for my husband's birthday). The shop is tiny, but well-stocked with drinks and snacks, as well as a good variety of hot bentos and sushi rolls/nigiri. The price is hard to beat! We went with the smoked salmon roll and an 8-pc nigiri combo (I chose salmon and tuna but there were other options). They even have veggie rolls also, for vegetarians reading this. The smoked salmon roll was only $8.50 and the nigiri combo only $14.50. The quality of the fish was fresh and the slices of salmon and tuna were thick. Once you check out you are given chopsticks and Kikkoman soy sauce. We took our sushi to Chicha San Chen to sit and enjoy our little lunch with some top-tier Taiwanese tea. The smoked salmon roll was delicious with a wonderful smoky flavor and the nigiri was super fresh and not fishy at all. I really appreciated how thick the slices of fish were. I will say that several times the fish would fall off the rice, some of which was a bit clumpy, but I simply treated it as sashimi with a side of rice. No complaints here because of how affordable the sushi is, but just something to note. It was a really enjoyable lunch, and I wish I could have returned another day to try some of their other rolls. But this just means I will have to visit again sometime, hopefully sooner than later! I'd definitely recommend Kyoto for a fast, cheap, and yummy meal, with good-quality fish all around. PS: Parking can be a bit of a pain in the ass but we were fortunate and snagged a spot pretty quickly along Solano Ave. However, during peak times, you may have to circle around a few times to find a spot.

Throughout the meal, he never checked on our table, even though we noticed him checking on the surrounding tables several times. At one point, the patio umbrella unexpectedly fell near our table. The sauce it was paired with was the wow factor and we even asked for more. The bulgogi on both the bulgogi bowl and bulgogi scramble was tender and had a tasty marinade. I would had wished the bulgogi scramble didn't have as much red onion. I was surprised with the sweet potato tots option and that didn't disappoint.
