    The Works Bibimbap.

Consider my review to be harsh as my mom is a killer Korean cook. 1st time here. 2nd time all together as I ate at the old Telegraph location a few years ago. $21.03+tip The Works Bibimbap with chicken and mixed rice. Solid enough. The attraction is the price and quantity of food, but I want to eat better.

Such a cute little place, perfect for a catch up lunch with friends. Veggie potstickers $12.99 were delicious and it was my first time trying Kimbop $12.99. I got the SPAM Kimbop and really enjoyed it. There are a lot of enticing items on the menu so I'll have to come back to try more. Sweet potato noodles? Yes, please! Ahi Poke Salad? Gimme gimme. It was really quiet when we arrived but then slowly filled up as afternoon turned to evening. Service was delightful.

    Sea food pancake. Very sad

They killed my seafood pancake :( was looking forward to it after not having it for few years. Been coming here for 8 years! And service was non existent today. First pic was today. The crispier golden brown one is what it was 3 years ago :(((

It's really a high 3 for me so I'm rounding it to 4. I thought some of the items were a bit on the pricey side. Sundubu would've been $18 before adding protein. That's my usual go to at Korean restaurants :(. I still prefer Gangnam Tofu in general for Korean food in the area. Anyway, we thought the food was decent and they have many Korean comfort food options too. I was surprised to see them selling ice cream unattended. Society hasn't failed me here since people are abiding by the honor system.

Decided to come here for a quick lunch on a weekday and it did not disappoint. There was plenty of seating and we were quickly greeted by staff and seated. I ordered the wings and lunch special with beef bulgogi. The beef bulgogi plate and portions were great for the price. All of the sides were great too. The wings were okay in my opinion; if you're looking for wings there are other amazing local spots that specialize in KFC. Overall it's a great place to stop in and grab a quick lunch or dinner!

Yummy treats await you. Flavors of home, comfort and warmth invite you to stay a while. Plenty of natural light. Greeted with smiles upon crossing the threshold. Full pane windows from floor to ceiling. I will return because the menu has so many options.

Great, quick service. Clean restaurant. Kid freindly, big portions. I definitely will return

    Right tag, wrong meal.

Ordered from the website last night because I was at work and had a co-worker pick up my order- Beef Tofu Stew w. Rice Cakes and Spicy wings. I opted for tteokbokki bc I was going to have the stew for lunch on my overnight shift and tteokbokki holds up better than ramen. Nothing better to lift your spirits on a cold rainy night than beef tofu stew, right? Imagine my disappointment when I cracked into my stew half way into my 12 hour shift and found bloated, soggy, fall apart ramen. Lowkey ruined my night. The tag on my bag was right, but the meal wasn't. (Order #97007)

This litte Gem we found in Albany for some authentic Korean food is amazing! The food is delicious the service is great! Prices are very fair fair. Small space but very comfortable! The wings are phenomenal the ramen is ao good served in a hot bowl and we loved the kimchi potstickers!!!!! The food here is soooooooo good!!!! And the servers are so sweet. Pricing is fair. For three people we spent $95 before tip with leftovers!!!! Keep this place around!

Used to love going to the Bowl'd in Albany and was so excited to try out this branch in Alameda. Unfortunately, quality and flavor is just not what it used to be. Jhap chae in specific had an overpowering mushroom flavor that wasn't my preference and the fried chicken had no flavor.

I came here for lunch with a coworker. It's my first time trying a bento box here, and portion size is pretty good! I haven't been here for some time now, but the fried chicken is still as good as I remember. Very quiet on a weekday lunch. Parking was super easy to find on the street. Service was good. I should come back more frequently!

My family loves this place and for good reason. It is veg friendly and offers multigrain rice options for all their dishes. We came in for a weekday dinner, found street parking right outside the restaurant and was seated immediately. I ordered a beef kimbop and the ginseng chicken stew. They gave 2 sets of side dishes as well. The kimbop with multigrain rice was really yummy, packed with veggies and flavorful beef. The ginseng chicken stew was okay. The soup didn't have much ginseng flavor, and the sticky rice and chestnuts inside the chicken was undercooked and still hard. The chicken was tender and did absorb some of the ginseng flavor which was nice. Service was beautiful, you know it's good when they anticipate your needs. My sister was sniffling over the spicy ramen and the server came over with a stack of napkins. How nice Overall, pretty good, a bit disappointed with the ginseng chicken stew, but still a solid Korean spot on Solano

A Korean restaurant on Solano Avenue. I ordered kimchi fried rice, and it came with some side dishes. Maybe they were busy, the service felt a bit curt. Overall, it was neither great nor bad. The atmosphere was nice though.

Ask the Community - Bowl'd Korean Rice Bar

Is the Ginseng Chicken soup gluten-free?

I wouldn't think so. There's rice inside the chicken.

    Is there outside seating?

They no longer have an outdoor area. All indoors.

Hi I am vegetarian,so question is your food all is vegetarian ? Garlic and onion inside the food?

They have vegetarian options available and I am assuming it has garlic and onion in some of the dishes. The business is operating so I would recommend looking at their menu or you can always go in and ask.

I used to be a regular here but haven't been back for about 6-9 months. Nicely renovated inside, but the wait staff is all new (to me), and the food taste slightly different. Is this under new management/owner?

Why is this restaurant listed as vegan, vegetarian???? I don't even see vegetarian protein options.

The Buckwheat works, a cold buckwheat noodle dish, is listed as vegan on the menu, although omnivores have the option to add meat. Other dishes can be ordered w/ tofu.

But this place completely changed that for me. Their mac and cheese comes out hot, steamy, and loaded with flavor, comfort food turned into something way more exciting. What really stands out is how creative the combinations are; it's not just cheese and pasta, it's layers of texture and bold flavor that keep me coming back. The buffalo chicken mac is a standout. It arrives with this crispy, golden breadcrumb topping that adds the perfect crunch. Pro tip, if you're getting it for takeout or delivery, the steam softens the topping in the container, so you miss out on that contrast. It's definitely best enjoyed fresh, in person, when that crunch is at its peak. Then there's the elote mac, which brings a totally different vibe. The bits of corn add little pops of sweetness throughout, and the slices of lemon on top are a game changer. A quick squeeze cuts through the richness of the cheese and oil, balancing everything out in a really satisfying way. I'm lactose intolerant, and that should be a dealbreaker here, but this is one of those rare exceptions where I'm willing to deal with the consequences.

A true hidden gem right at the bottom of Solano Ave in Albany!…read more I'm embarrassed to admit that Picnic has been around for about 5 years in the east bay and I've just tried it for the first time this week. But I'm so glad I was finally introduced to it. The staff greet you promptly when you enter and you can even watch them work effortlessly together in the open prep-station behind the counter. They have a gorgeous display of deli items, wines, cheeses, cold sides, and even some cute candles & house made croutons. They've got everything you would need for an elevated picnic or even a barbecue with the family. They have an intriguing selection of house made sausages-- the Chicken Tikka Masala sausage caught my eye and I can't wait to try it. They also sell whole smoked quail that are seasoned heavily yet each bite has just the right amount of smokiness, spices, and salt. Their hot food items and sandwiches are perfect for a quick lunch during your break from work or on your way home. There are also a few counter seats if you want to enjoy your meal there. So far I've tried the smoked quail, the Muffaletta sandwich, and their green lentil soup with chicken + veg. The sandwich was filled to the brim and each bite was a flavor bomb. The lentil soup was very comforting & paired well with the smoked quail. I'm looking forward to trying everything they have to offer.

I recommend going on a Sunday so the 90 minute street parking doesn't apply. We were easily able to get a table for four without reservation. But it was inside. Most people were sitting out on the patio. The back patio is such a cute vibe. It's like a lush garden with mature trees and shade and string lights. I wish they had a separate entrance for it though. I saw a couple people walking their dogs through the restaurant to get to the patio. The market actually has a pretty big selection of items! They even have several large refrigerators. I've never seen so many types of ramen outside a 99 Ranch. We ordered the palace rice cakes, beef cold noodles, spicy tofu, both fried chicken appetizers, and the jang pasta, and drinks. They have a nice selection of drinks that I haven't seen commonly offered at other Korean restaurants before like several types of Korean tea. Everything was delicious! My personal favorites were the jang pasta, palace rice cakes, and the cold noodles. The noodles were perfect to help cleanse the palate from the heavier and spicy menu items. Ur was tasty even without the vinegar. They were very generous with the amount of beef in the rice cakes. It was more beef than rice cake! The cost wasn't bad either. For four people it came out to $145 before tip. The only other suggestion I have is they install an air curtain or mesh curtains to help keep flies out.
