Quick service, small shop! I got the eel triangle which was pretty good just wish the seaweed was a bit crunchier!

I ordered the regular short rib plate, small poke plate, and the 3 triangles of unagi, poke, and buldak chicken. I was so excited to try this place and had hoped it would be a place I'd come back to, but it was just alright to me. The short rib plate was good, but maybe in the smaller portion for a quick fix. The poke wasn't terrible quality, but it wasn't up to my standard of melt in your mouth. Unagi was mediocre and the buldak chicken was nothing crazy. The edamame with lime was good. Overall, this place would be fine for quick fixes and small bites but definitely not worth a $50 meal for two lol.

On our way back home, we decided to get dinner here. Food was good, but we didn't get one of our orders, their Dubai Marshmallow Chocolate Cookies Dessert ($7). We didn't notice it until we got home and it was already too late to go back because one, it's a bit late already and second, by the time we get back there they would be closed. I don't know how they would forget it, it was the very first thing on the receipt which was taped on the front of the to-go bag! I don't know how these places don't double or triple check the orders as they go which they should as part of giving good customer service. The workers are actually the ones representing the establishment and they're not doing a very good job at it as they're doing a disservice to their customers.

I visited this place for the first time. All of the Japanese-style onigiri were delicious. The kimchi was tasty. The atmosphere felt more like a stand than a restaurant. Since I got takeout, there wasn't really any service to mention.

I've been here twice now. The first time wasn't particularly memorable, but I wanted to give it another shot before committing to an opinion. Unfortunately, the second visit confirmed that it's not worth the time. Most recently, I ordered the chicken teriyaki and the unagi (broiled eel). Both were noticeably bland. Unagi is usually a safe bet because it tends to have a consistent, rich flavor even at basic sushi spots. Here, it was completely flat. It tasted like it had never been marinated, and no seasoning was added to make up for it. They do offer a generous condiment station, which is a nice gesture. But even after trying to resuscitate the triangles with some emergency flavor injections, they were too far gone. The atmosphere is casual and geared toward takeout. There are a few seats inside and a couple of small outdoor tables. If the food were better, it could be a nice spot to sit outside on a sunny day with BART trains rolling by overhead. The menu is small, which should make it easier to maintain consistency and quality. Right now, though, the execution just isn't there. Maybe things were better when they first opened, but at this point, it feels soulless and phoned in. With so many solid options nearby, it's hard to recommend this place unless it is the only thing open at 9pm and you need something quick. If you're after a handheld rice snack, I'd suggest checking out Yonsei Handrolls down the street instead.

Ordered for pickup the other day and the Triangles were delicious! We got the short rib, the unagi, the grilled salmon and teriyaki chicken. They were all very yummy but we especially liked the one with short ribs. I really appreciate that the filling goes all the way down/into the Triangles and the price wasn't bad at all either! Would definitely go again!

Found a piece of plastic in my rice triangle that had been used for the spicy tuna. Perhaps it could be understandable if it was busy and they were rushing to get food out, but we were the only people in the store ordering.

Super delicious oori triangles! I had the spicy tuna, short rib and the spicy tofu. While they all could use a little extra heat, they were delicious! My fave was probably the spicy tuna, it was also like have a giant spicy tuna handroll. Also appreciate that the three pack comes with delicious edamame.

Wow! I am so pleasantly surprised at this restaurant. I often make my own musubi/onigiri/rice balls at home so I try not to eat out for it, but this place is definitely somewhere I will go to again and again! The selection of different meats/fillings were amazing and delicious. I had the spicy samyang chicken and the kalbi. My boyfriend had the spicy pork, kalbi, and salmon. We got our order very fast as we barely had to wait. Even then, the food was still fresh and hot. It's a very cute hole in the wall but it does not have too much seating.

This place has been in my bookmarks for quite some time now. I decided to give it a try today because I wanted something a little different. I ordered the 4 piece triangle box so I could share with my brother. Spicy Ahi tuna, chicken teriyaki, short rib and spicy pork. My brother really liked the short rib. He said it was very flavorful and preferred it over the others. I really enjoyed the spicy ahi tuna. I liked the texture of it lol and the spicy pork was pretty good as well. They both had the best flavor and taste to me. The chicken teriyaki was not that good, I wouldn't order it again in future visits here. Edamame was good. Staff/service was nice and ambiance of the place... it was quiet because I came right as lunch time was getting started. Inside is very small and there are small tablets to the side where you can place your order. The order did not take that long to be ready.

I recommend going on a Sunday so the 90 minute street parking doesn't apply. We were easily able to get a table for four without reservation. But it was inside. Most people were sitting out on the patio. The back patio is such a cute vibe. It's like a lush garden with mature trees and shade and string lights. I wish they had a separate entrance for it though. I saw a couple people walking their dogs through the restaurant to get to the patio. The market actually has a pretty big selection of items! They even have several large refrigerators. I've never seen so many types of ramen outside a 99 Ranch. We ordered the palace rice cakes, beef cold noodles, spicy tofu, both fried chicken appetizers, and the jang pasta, and drinks. They have a nice selection of drinks that I haven't seen commonly offered at other Korean restaurants before like several types of Korean tea. Everything was delicious! My personal favorites were the jang pasta, palace rice cakes, and the cold noodles. The noodles were perfect to help cleanse the palate from the heavier and spicy menu items. Ur was tasty even without the vinegar. They were very generous with the amount of beef in the rice cakes. It was more beef than rice cake! The cost wasn't bad either. For four people it came out to $145 before tip. The only other suggestion I have is they install an air curtain or mesh curtains to help keep flies out. I really enjoyed Korean Superette and want to go back and hopefully get some groceries too!

This was a Galbitang, but they added 2 shrimp, an abalone, and some other seafood. I haven't had beef + seafood combo outside of the soft tofu stew, but I might have to consider it more after trying this dish. Packed with flavor. Galbi Dolsot - A large portion. Nice and crispy rice. Great sear on the galbi. Highly recommend. I've talked about the banchan before - best banchan in East Bay, although the turnip kimchi is out of control (needs to be cut into smaller pieces). Seafood Pancake - Pretty good version here. Crispy and flavorful. Thick Soybean Paste Stew - A hearty tofu soup with some veggies. It came out first and I thought it was a pretty good starter. Fried Chicken - I think the chicken here is ok in terms of crispiness and flavor. Original was good. Garlic was really odd. It was basically original with some kind of puree on top (raw garlic + sugar). Not something I would get again. Beef Bulgogi - We had a better version of this the last time we came. Today's did not get enough heat. No sear on the onions or the beef.

We ordered the seafood pancake, jap chae with beef, galbi jjim with cheese (you get to see them touch the cheese table side), bibimbop, tofu soup, and bossam. Everything was unbelievably tasty. This is definitely one of the best Korean meals I have ever had. The rice cakes were nice and chewy in the galbi jjim, the bossam was so delicious, the seafood pancake was nice and crispy. I could eat here all day. The service was quick, the staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean. I will definitely be back.

The tots were my fav even tho the wings were supposed to be the star of the show. I liked how they gave me PLENTY of disposable gloves because the sauce is v sticky. Gochujang is a savory, sweet Korean chili paste, but I would say it was more sweet than spicy. What a cute little shop for to-go Japanese sushi!…read more Kyoto came up in my search for takeout sushi since I wanted something light for lunch (we had reservations for Fogo de Chao later that evening for my husband's birthday). The shop is tiny, but well-stocked with drinks and snacks, as well as a good variety of hot bentos and sushi rolls/nigiri. The price is hard to beat! We went with the smoked salmon roll and an 8-pc nigiri combo (I chose salmon and tuna but there were other options). They even have veggie rolls also, for vegetarians reading this. The smoked salmon roll was only $8.50 and the nigiri combo only $14.50. The quality of the fish was fresh and the slices of salmon and tuna were thick. Once you check out you are given chopsticks and Kikkoman soy sauce. We took our sushi to Chicha San Chen to sit and enjoy our little lunch with some top-tier Taiwanese tea. The smoked salmon roll was delicious with a wonderful smoky flavor and the nigiri was super fresh and not fishy at all. I really appreciated how thick the slices of fish were. I will say that several times the fish would fall off the rice, some of which was a bit clumpy, but I simply treated it as sashimi with a side of rice. No complaints here because of how affordable the sushi is, but just something to note. It was a really enjoyable lunch, and I wish I could have returned another day to try some of their other rolls. But this just means I will have to visit again sometime, hopefully sooner than later! I'd definitely recommend Kyoto for a fast, cheap, and yummy meal, with good-quality fish all around.
