Bowhaus is the absolute best!! I was so sad when I got a new job and no longer was able to take my dog Finn here who had been going here since he was 9 months old. I have been to many other daycares in Denver and now with my move back to Michigan I can say that Bowhaus is unlike any other! They truly understand dogs and know how to handle them on an individual basis. Beaker loves it so much I kind of get jealous.:-) My 110 11 month old has the time of his life. Besides the fact that he sprints to the door to go in, I love how I can see him have fun on the WebCam. The people that work there are really nice too, one man has really great "dog whisperer" aspect about him. All the women that I meet are just so sweet and seem to know my dog well. Perhaps it is a little more pricey here than other places, but it is so worth it if you care about the well-being of your dog. I've never had to board a dog until now and I'm glad that I found a great place. read more

To start, I needed a place to board my dogs (Magic and Jake) for a week while we traveled to another state for a family vacation. My partner and I found Bowhaus Dog Daycare and Boarding - hoping for the best. At first, they seemed nice... little did I know, I'll now be forced to file a lawsuit against them. The amount of their unprofessional-ism is absurd. After a week, upon pickup, they "lost" my dogs leashes. (Note: Magic and Jake's leashes were custom made and very expensive.) When I cordially brought this to their attention, they claimed they never had the leashes and I should wait three days for them to find them. Well, if they "never had my property" why should I wait for them to find them? So, I patiently waited and three days came with no contact from them about my property. I told them if they cannot find my property, I'll bring the receipts (for the custom made leashes) for them to compensate me for losing my property. Within ten minutes, they found my leashes. This shows that they didn't even bother to look for the leashes during the three day wait time. It also shows they were planning on stealing my property. As a company, they are responsible for all property left with said dogs. Following this encounter, the staff was incredibly rude to me. To make matters worse, my dog, Magic, ended up getting kennel cough (even though she is updated on her shots) due to the staff allowing another dog who was infected to play around non-infected dogs. Plus, Magic was bitten by another dog on her back leg - which they never told me about until I mentioned it via-phone. This is another example of bad professionalism. Furthermore, I received an August newsletter (via-email) with paintings, from a local artist, of my dogs Magic and Jake. They had an artist paint my dogs, for other people to purchase without my consent or knowledge. I never agreed for them to paint my dogs. (Note: This act is illegal.) When I confronted the manager, Shyanne Glass, about this she claimed that artist was from another state and the dogs in the paintings were not my dogs. Little did she know, I own the photos of my dogs that were used for painting purposes. And, the artist's website and phone number are also from Colorado. Therefore, once again she lied to me. I paid for them to board my dogs, not exploit me and their image for profit. After I left a voicemail for the artist to contact me, the artist's boyfriend contacted me and yelled at me via-phone while claiming it was another dog in the paintings. (Why couldn't the actual artist speak to me cordially instead of her boyfriend screaming?) I informed them that I own the photo of my dogs that were used for their illegal painting purposes. They also claimed the paintings are displayed on the wall, and they are not for sell, but according to the August Newsletter, the paintings can be purchased by anyone. Here are their prices: 8x10 $125, 11x14 $225, and 16x20 $325 for my dog's illegal paintings. When I agreed to show them proof that the paintings are my dogs, and they illegally painted them to make profit, they rudely hung up on me. Now, I am forced to sue them for illegally selling paintings of my dogs without my consent, and them trying to exploit me. Lastly, I was yelled at and degraded when I brought these situations to light. BE WARNED! This place is not worth the hassle, it is providing illegal services, and it is overpriced for the services given. I hope my lawsuit against them will help any new customers in the future, and make this business learn to not steal property and exploit people. Shame one you, Bowhaus! read more

We love Bowhaus! The staff is friendly, patient and knowledgeable. We have been bringing our Great Dane pup to BH since she was 4 months old. Our dog continues to be excited to go to BH and has a great time. We never worry about our pets when they are with the BH staff. Thank you to everyone who works on this team. read more

these folks got me with the clever Bowhaus name, i drove past the Boulder location many times before taking my weird and skittish pooch in for a nail clip. mind you, i had more than one vet struggle, fail, have me drug the dog to the extreme, yet still it was just a terrible experience for all of us. mainly the dog! the social distancing turns out to be a Good thing for my anxious pooch. but..would i get a call that he was too fearful? that his back end exploded? a scared and stinky dog, back in the car, possibly without clipped nails? Nope! he did Great and i've also had a grooming service done, too. i'm going to treat him to a day at doggy play land next. these people are fantastic and every dog i've seen coming and going from the 'daycare' is relaxed and happy. watched one dog Bound inside the moment his leash was off today! Highly recommended. i will never drug or wrestle my dog of long claws again. worth every penny. also suggest generous tips, they deserve it! people pay more for their dogs daycare than their children's frequently. hmmmmm....... We had our dog scheduled for boarding, for 12 days, in a specific suite. He was confirmed for over a month and reconfirmed multiple times. The day before we were to bring him in, we got a confirmation email for the dates and the suite. We received a phone message that night saying that the suite wasn't available because another dog was booked! We didn't get the message until the morning, the day we were bringing him in. They said we had a reservation but it wasn't confirmed. And they said they had to send us a confirmation email to unconfirm us! Then another staff member told us we never had a reservation. This was the staff member that I made the reservation with. That gave me a tour of the suite. It made absolutely no sense at all! They suggested we put him in the regular boarding area with all the other dogs. This is specifically what we didn't want. This is the first time we are boarding our dog and the day before we leave on our trip, and we had to deal with this. To say we're disappointed is an understatement. We spoke to the GM who was very kind and apologized for the mistake. We fortunately, at the last minute, found another facility that had availability that met our needs. We will never do business with them again. The stress they put us through is outrageous. read more

My wife and I are so pleased at the service our dog receives. Everytime we drive by or stop by our dog is just having the time of his life playing with the other dogs. This place is very clean and has adequate shade and play areas for our lab. The management team and employees are true dog lovers and it shows . Highly recommended. read more

Great, big play area complete with shade and kiddie pools in the warmer months. The staff work with the dogs on training and good manners while they have them as well. They also write adorable daily report cards personalized for your dog. Another perk, they usually don't fill up. read more

Our dog LOVES Bowhaus. She has accurately been described as a "relentless player" and comes home after a fun day of playing chase entirely exhausted. The webcams are a hoot. Bowhaus makes it all look easy. I'm so glad we found this place. read more

DO NOT BOARD HERE: Despite Bowhaus's high reviews, I had a less than pleasurable experience boarding my dog here. When traveling, we all want to feel secure and stress-free knowing our dogs are being well-taken care of, and I did not feel that way during my experience with Bowhaus. Here were the biggest problems: 1.I never want to accuse people of lying, but when I spoke with employees there, I was receiving misinformation about my dog. There is a webcam available where you can see the dogs during playtime, so I could see when my dog was out and playing. They told me multiple times the ranges my dog would get to be out of the kennel, and when I checked the webcam, other dogs would be out, but my dog wouldn't be. One day when this happened, I called and asked if my dog was out (because I could see he was not), and the woman I spoke with said, "yes, he is out he is just off the webcam right now, let me have someone pull him on screen for you." As I watched on the webcam, one of their employees left the doggy play room, and then came back out with my dog. This was a clear example of them telling me what I wanted to hear, when it seemed like the truth was that my dog wasn't out when the other dogs were out. 2.They carry spray bottles around and spray the dogs when they don't want them to do something. While some may think this is okay, I think they should be clear with their policies, because some owners may not be okay with this. 3.They have over 30 dogs in one small room at a time with no toys or stimulation. This was another thing I was not aware of--the amount of dogs they have out at one time. They either need more rooms, more shifts where they can rotate dogs, or accept less clients. 4.Lastly, when I called to check up on my dog, I asked if he was having accidents in the kennel (because he was kenneled for over 6 hours most days and he is only 8 months old), they told me no. When I picked him up, he reeked of urine and had poop stains on his body. Of course he was having accidents in the kennel, they left him in there for way too long without potty breaks. Again, I was not aware of their kenneling procedures when I dropped off and when they explained their daily schedule. If you have a low energy dog, or just need to drop him/her off for the day, this may work. But for high-energy or nervous dogs, I do not recommend. Overall, I would not use Bowhaus again and had a terrible experience working with their employees. I spent my vacation stressed and worried about my dog--not a vacation in my book. read more

I have been taking my dog here on and off for a year now. The owner, Dan, and the staff are very accommodating in so many ways and offer very personal service. You also get a report card every day telling you how your dogs day went. They also have dog daycare on the weekends which is nice since other places just have someone let them out a couple of times a day. read more
