When you approach the street your senses are overwhelmed by the delicious smell of freshly baked bread and pastries. We knew we were close when we inhaled the good bread smells. We came in on a Saturday around 11:30am so a lot of the pastries were already sold out, but we snagged an everything croissant and chocolate croissant for breakfast. Both were well crafted, flakey, and delicious. We loved making a trip here and would absolutely come back earlier next time!

I found this coffee shop and bakery on TikTok and had to check it out since everyone was raving about it. The line was out the door when I got there, which felt like a good sign. Service for the pastry was super fast, but I waited about five minutes for my coffee which was fine. The coffee itself was really good, but the pastry I grabbed was way too salty for me. I'm guessing I just didn't pick the right one because this place is clearly popular, so next time I might need someone to point me in the right direction on what pastry is worth trying. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the coffee, but I'm still figuring out the bakery side of things.

A trip to Raleigh feels incomplete without a trip to Boulted Bread! The morning buns have a crunch, caramelized exterior with a soft interior flavored with cinnamon. It is easy to order, staff is friendly, and the pastries are a great breakfast treat or afternoon snack. The Dorthy Dix park is also nearby.

Wow. I've had a lot of different bread in my life but these are freshest and tastiest one I've had. It's probably better than Republique in LA. The staff was very nice and the place just smell of blissful. There's plenty of seating inside. I'd definitely comeback and recommend everyone to come and try them! All the bread I had were delicious.

Really enjoyed Boulted bread one of the best ham and cheese croissants. The egg tart like pastry was very good loved the light citrus flavor. In general I was really impressed by the bread. Was also impressed by the mill and seeing the croissant lamination machine putting in work! If I had one issue it was the service. It was our first time there it just felt a bit rushed and there wasn't much help. Just a silent person watching us waiting for us to tell them what we want. A simple "how are you doing, please let me know if you have any questions". The space was perfectly fine. The highlight of the space was definitely the visual of the bakers baking.

They have the largest, most flaky croissants. I came towards the end of the day and they still had a few left.

Been seeing the reviews so I had to come try for myself. I went on a Sunday after church to get some breakfast and do some work. It wasn't crowded but business was steady. Many of the items were sold out and I was told you have to come early. ( It was Bou 1:30 pm). First. You can smell the bread in the parking lot across the street - delightful. I had to choose from the limited leftovers so I got a ginger cookie, chocolate croissant and a new item which was like bacon and cheese in a muffin. The cookie was a bit firm. A little heat and softness would have made it better. The croissant was top tier. Flaky and delicious. The muffin thing was edible but not delicious. Heating it would have made it 1000 percent better. I didn't finish it so I took it home and heated it up and put jelly on it. It tasted better but I probably won't get it again. I also ordered a salted caramel ______ latte (it was another word that I forgot. It was amazing. Good coffee flavors and well balanced. The staff set helpful and amazing. Medium seating inside no outside seating that I could see. Clean restrooms. I will be back earlier to try some of the other items.

Absolutely loved the croissant here! The croissant had the layers and was crisp to perfection! Eating it fresh was delicious and even saving some for later it was still crispy! I went to a few bakeries while visiting and this is made the biggest impression! I would definitely recommend this bakery!

Pre Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade breakfast tradition. Caesar croissant. Definitely different

Excellent bakery. Breads and pastries are delicious. I always take home since not much room to sit there.

If the locals love it...and if there is a line...and you are in the mood for some sweet bread, then definitely add this to your list!

One of the best croissants I've ever had! Very cute ambience. We also got the morning bun, cranberry croissant, and quiche.

Best bread in Raleigh. Pastries are also always on point. Definitely recommend. It's pricey but well worth it.

    Any vegan pastries?

Alas, no. Thanks for asking. Their bialys are vegan, but they are savory and chewy, not sweet and tender. I hope someday they expand to vegan pastries. If anyone thinks this can't be done amazingly well, check out the Bklyn Bakery in Durham.

Ambiance was just average, lots of people working and studying occupied most tables, service is friendly, the Napoleon seemed to be old with strange texture with no flavor, my husband ordered a cheese cake and said the same thing. The only good thing was the tea, a little more than the regular Lipton black tea. It was a huge disappointment and we won't be back, spent almost $40 for two not good slices of cake, a pot of tea, totally not worth it! Food: 1 Service: 4 Ambiance: 3

The space is fairly large and they stay open late (until 11 PM on weekends), making it a great place to hang out with friends or stop by to satisfy a sweet tooth during a night out. I've purchased their macarons as gifts, tried several desserts here and to-go, grabbed coffee and stayed to do work, and even stopped by for lunch. Their light bites are quite tasty, and I especially enjoy their phyllo-dough pastries. Their latte options are great--the flavors are creative yet still approachable, and the syrup options are delicious. Service is attentive and efficient. There's always a big team behind the counter, and instead of calling names, they give you a number and bring food or drinks directly to your table, which is so thoughtful! They can get quite busy at times - lots of families and big groups stop by to hang out. I enjoy the community it brings, though sometimes this is not the most ideal place to get work done. Highly recommend Asali for anyone looking to try creative desserts, a great cup of latte!
