    seafood linguini

The name Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar really understates what a fine dining restaurant this is. Both the interior and service are what you would expect from a high end restaurant, not an oyster bar. It is true, however, that the upper level and bar are bright and loud like a kitchen, but the lower level is nice (and would be even nicer with a glass partition between it and the upper level. There is an interesting cocktail list, and a well-chosen selection of wines. We started with the house-made sourdough and a seafood tower. It was the best seafood tower I've had because of the thoughtful side dishes. I particularly loved the mussels escabeche. For mains we had sable fish, cod, seafood linguini, and a special mushroom pasta. All were good, especially the linguini. The dessert sampler for four was interesting. There was a great variety and it was nice to try most everything on the menu, but I didn't feel there were any real standouts. Service was friendly and professional.

They have quite an extensive happy hour menu. Everything you see in the photos is from happy hour. Truffle fries were probably my favourite. Cost for happy hour was definitely higher than other happy hours in town but you come for the ambiance. The server warned us of our 2 hour waiting time but the hostess came over afterwards and told us we could stay until the next table came which was so nice.

My new favorite restaurant in Vancouver. I used to love Cioppino's before they closed down. This Michelin star restaurant is definitely worth the drive. Beautiful ambience, delightful wait staff, and superb food. Had a bunch of appetizers, but was too busy eating to take pictures. They were all good. Nothing was too salty and everything had a bite of spicy. Definitely coming back.

Great happy hour appies to try. One of the few places that still has $2 oysters and they were plump and delicious. Other favourite dish had to be the tuna. Espresso martini was nice and strong. Our fish tacos were a little bit cold. The service was exceptional!

met up with a group for after dinner drinks at boulevard in the sutton place hotel and decided to share the small dessert platter. presentation was elegant, but the portion was way too small for our group of five people, enough to get a tiny sampling of what executive pastry chef, kenta takahashi, 2020, 2023, 2024 best pastry chef, canada's 100 best restaurants has to showcase. definitely better suited for two, maybe three at most. i can't remember what was what, there were only one or two standouts among the selection, though it was nicely put together. the interior remains beautiful and refined, with that upscale hotel lounge feel. it brought back memories of when this place was le méridien vancouver, we used to come for their famous chocoholic bar and enjoyed the live piano in the evenings at gerard. a little nostalgic, even if the experience this time at this award winning restaurant didn't quite match the indulgence of those days.

We went for our anniversary and were treated to excellent service and a nice ambiance. To start, we got a seafood tower for two which included raw oysters, sashimi, crab legs, shrimp and mussels. Everything was extremely fresh and the perfect temperature. For main, we got the sablefish - it was good, can't go wrong. It was supposed to be tonkotsu inspired but the flavours were not especially unique compared to other sablefish dishes I've tried which have a similar umami flavour profile. Our favourite was definitely the seafood linguine - which was made with northeastern Italian style, which a thick coated sauce and perfectly al dente noodles. We were fighting for the last bite! For dessert we had to try one of their award winning goodies - we got the banoffee which was lovely and full of interesting textures. They also treated us to a key lime cheesecake bite for our anniversary. Overall, I recommend trying this place out!

Whenever I'm in town, I try to make a point to get drinks in the back cozy room of Boulevard. While I'm not an oyster fan, their drinks menu brings me back every time. I love clarified cocktails and they tend to have one on their menu among rotating items. This time, I got the Devil You Know, a clarified rum cocktail. Our server was attentive and made sure our waters were filled, which I always appreciate at bars.

I had breakfast at Boulevard kitchen and located first floor of the Sutton Place Hotel. It was a wonderful service with a very fancy atmosphere. I ordered Eggs & Smoked Salmon Benedict and coffee. There is also a buffet. It was very nice to be able to relax in a quiet place.

We stopped by tbis restaurant for happy hour and ordered a dozen oysters and cocktails. The oysters were plump and creamy which my friend really liked. I prefer the smaller, crisp tasting ones like Kumamoto. Then we also rsvp for lunch here and enjoyed a delicious breakfast which promptly ends at 11am. Last call at 10:20am. The staff and manager were all very cordial, attentive and accommodating. Would definitely be back on another occasion as we like our hotel stay at the Sutton Place Hotel and the food here.

Went here for an event which was in a private room. The service was very fast and everyone was very friendly. The food was outstanding. It was a set menu for a private event. I ordered the beef carpaccio which was unique but by far the best carpaccio I've ever had! It had incredible flavours and different textures. I also had the steak which was very soft, and finished with the strawberry cheesecake which was light and the perfect ending. I will definitely be back!!!

Here with my family to celebrate a birthday. Street meter parking and meter parking lots near by. Reservations made and was greeted upon entry with coat check available. Seated and helped by Larry that tended to our evening. He was great!! Personable, attentive and provided recommendations as it was our first time going to Boulevard. Our food (appetizers and entrees) came in a timely manner. We had the following - Drinks: * Passion Project * Over the Sun * Shirley Temple Appetizers: * Raw Oysters * Fremantle Octopus * Blue Fin Tuna Sashimi Entrees: * Loong Kong Chicken * Seafood Linguine * Grilled Sablefish * Kids Steak & Frites Dessert: * Salted Sesame Praline Bar * Pecan Banoffee Crisp Open concept dining experience with lighting on each table top too. Good for small and large group seatings available. Washroom is outside of the restaurant that is part of the hotel. Clean and bright. Great first time here and see why in ratings. Will be back to try other items.

We popped into Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar during a visit to Vancouver. We had never heard of this restaurant, but it was quite convenient since it was located in the Sutton Place Hotel, so it was a quick commute down the elevator from our room. We decided to go for happy hour cocktails and an early dinner. We're so happy we stopped in. The restaurant has a modern vibe with tables available both inside and out. We were greeted by the hostess who promptly seated us. Shortly after our waiter, Marshall, came by and introduced himself. He was super friendly and hilarious. He had charisma for days. With our cocktails, we ordered the Lemongrass Chicken Wings. It was served with Thai chili and caramel fish sauce. It sounded a bit strange, but it was absolutely divine. Slightly sticky and just a little sweet, this was the perfect compliment to our cocktails. Next up: cornbread. And who doesn't love a little cornbread? Well, these were adorable but unfortunately a little dry. The butter helped, but a good cornbread should be moist enough to stand on its own without butter. This came with plain old salted butter. A soft honey butter would have been better. OK, swing and a miss for the cornbread. Now on to the highlight of the meal - the Seafood Tower. This came with pastrami steelhead, albacore tuna tataki, mussel escabèche, Crab Louie, snow crab legs, prawns, and oysters. The oysters were out of this world - small, fresh, sweet and delicious. The crab legs and prawns were huge and perfectly cooked, and the steelhead, tuna, mussels, and Crab Louis were over-the-top fantastic. Since our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, we ordered dessert. It was a rhubarb crumble with elderflower ice cream, cream mousse, meringue, white chocolate crisp, and shortbread crumbs. This was heaven on a plate. Delicious and beautiful. Overall the restaurant was great. One star knocked off for the failure of the cornbread, but then one star added because our waiter, Marshall, was so much fun. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Vancouver.

Their food was really good, truffle fries are quite rich and flavourful, same with the beef carpaccio. I don't think the menu mentions it comes with these sliced toasted baguettes which were topped with olive oil and balsamic glaze. Service was slightly disappointing as our service was quite flat. Two instances, both not the fault of our server, but the bar had a friend a drink in a dirty glass, she ordered a clear drink but it was brown tinged, and had a weird flavour. Multiple people at the table tried it before we told the server that it seemed off. It was slightly off putting, but our server went back and got a new one for my friend. Second thing, they said they updated their POS so for some reason the person who had the most alcoholic drinks had been put in with a really high autogratuity, but it was strange because everyone else at the party had the regular autograt of 20% I believe and the only person who was drunk ended up getting 30% or something of the sort. Our server again, amazing and took care of it working with the manager who fixed it and came to apologize but the optics of that only happening to the one drunk person if the party, well you know. Kinda left an unsatisfactory taste in everyone's mouths regarding the service. Food was still great and so was our server, and the manager who came to personally apologize about the issue.

But then a very large party was being seated at the adjacent restaurant that the bar seems to also serve, and she got tied up pretty bad. We did see a couple come in and wait for a pretty long time and then just take off. And then the bar was closed for this private party at 7pm, and we had sort of planned on a nightcap after dinner in there. Fortunately we found PLENTY of awesome places to go after dinner so it was not an issue. If you're looking for a comfortable, quiet, and cosy bar this is not the place for you. This is a place where Vancouverites get dressed up in their finest dark washed jeans. Am I being facetious - yes I am...but lets face it that's what passes for high fashion in this city. Celebrity sightings are not totally uncommon here, the servers are all friendly and quick to bring your drinks, and you're guaranteed plenty of beautiful people eye-candy. It's also a bar targeting a slightly more mature age group with their larger disposable income - so no annoying teeny boppers knocking back B-52's here and whoohooing it up. One shocking thing I discovered on my last visit to OPUS Bar, was that they aren't allowed to do "real" bottle service there. So if you order a bottle of Goose for the table, be prepared to have your server take it away and bring it back out only when requested or when glasses start to go empty - thankfully Champagne & Wine are exempt from this strange rule.
