    I highly recommend Boulder Hybrids! One quote from a popular repair shop was $450. Boulder Hybrid did the the job for $80.

They could have made some money off me, but the advice was "Don't bother, it's not worth it." Valuable advice, it turns out. Price: Zero. Second time, I was buying a used car and asked for a complete check. They got it done immediately, pointed out a couple things I would have missed and charged me less than half of what I had previously paid elsewhere for an overall check of a potential purchase. Third: A brake job on a different car. Shimmy in the front wheels when I braked at speed. As I suspected, warped rotors. Fixed that day, no hassle, fair price. I don't see how anyone can give these guys anything less than a superior review.

    Took my car in here a few months ago because it went into limp mode on the freeway. They took one…read morelook at it and told me it was going to need an engine because it was knocking, then offered to buy it off me for about $1,500. I couldn't hear the knock but I was going to believe them, just figured they knew what they were doing and they're a reputable shop. I was about to sell it to a junkyard today and again I couldn't hear the knock so I figured id get a second opinion from another shop in boulder. (I know this should have been the first thing I did lol) Turns out the engine was completely fine, it needed a new accelerator pedal sensor and that was throwing the car into limp mode. I had already bought a new car and I just fixed my old one for about $100 and ten minutes of work; because I trusted them and didn't get a second opinion I'm stuck with two functional cars! I have a hard time believing they purposely misdiagnosed the problem to try and buy the car off me for significantly less than it was worth, but who knows. I'm really just confused by the whole thing, I thought I was going crazy trying to hear a knock in a perfectly healthy engine. The one thing I do know is that I wouldn't recommend this shop. Could have been an honest mistake, or there could have been some malicious intent, who knows. Regardless of the reason it happened they f***ed up and the whole thing has been a massive, unnecessary inconvenience.

    Discrimination against people with disabilities. I brought my van in for several things…read more They agreed to do 1 hr Diagnostic service for $185 with an engine issue. After 10 min it became clear they needed to get into the doghouse I have a conversion van so this meant moving a lot of stuff around. I also have a musculoskeletal disability, and it took me about 20 min to move the vast majority of the stuff which needed to be moved, which was a lot for me, I'm still in pain from it, but I did it because that's what needed to be done, but then I always need help with the 70 lb RV refrigerator. 2 min to do for an able bodied guy. mechanic agreed to do it Then they came back and said they couldn't get to the diagnostic stuff that day. And that if I came back: 1) They'd charge me $100 extra for moving the 70 lb RV fridge in and out. 2) They'd charge me twice as much as they had quoted for 1 hr diagnostic. When asked why the front desk drone blathered something about extra time getting in and out of the doghouse. which takes 5 min. I've taken this van to 6-7 mechanics over the years. When the doghouse has needed to be accessed, this has always been the process. It's never been a problem before. I go out of my way, even injuring myself, to do what I can. And then they help with the RV fridge, which only takes a minute. The Americans with Disabilities Act explicitly states that "reasonable accommodations must be made for individuals with disabilities" To charge them more than twice as much is to punish them for having a disability. The fact that most people with disabilities are socio-economically impacted makes this doubly unethical. Whatever good qualities this shop has, Discrimination agains people with disabilities makes the difference and earns them a 1 star review.

Be extremely aware of the final $$ amount before signing the contract. Look over EVERY LINE ITEM to make sure it all makes sense. When I first brought it into Boulder Toyota they said that the extended warranty was only good for that dealership in Denver, Stevinsons. That turned out to not be true. I drove the car for about a year and then the pandemic hit. I got stuck out of town for 18 months. During that time I was notified that I need to bring in the Rav for maintenance. A friend brought my car in and was told that I needed new rotors and pads, the brakes. My Rav had 9,000 miles on it???! We thought it should be covered under warranty - brakes aren't or by the extended warranty, again no. A car with 9,000 miles and 2 years old should not need new brakes! I don't believe I actually needed new brakes and other Toyota mechanics I've spoken with don/t think so either. Now, I'm afraid to bring my car in for service at Larry Miller's Boulder Toyota. I think they are crooks. They could have done the 10,000 mile service at the same time for free but didn't - and due to the pandemic it is now more than 2 years old and the 10,000 mile check up is not covered! I talked to the service manager Andre. He said he would look into it and call me back. I have not heard back from him.
